Hey guys, what is up! This is ErcaPerca, and this will be my second RMT on the Smogon Forums! I am SO excited to bring you all this team, as I am very proud of constructing it! It is a very fun team and at the same time, brings consistent wins! I want to try something I have never seen before, as I have made a video about my RMT, so you guys can both listen to my video(or watch it), and go over my RMT!

*I apologize in advance if this is somehow breaking a rule*

As you guys have probably figured out, this is a team built around Mega-Aerodactyl, as it was the highest polled option in my last RMT. Make sure to vote again on this one too!

RMT #2: Mega-Aerodactyl
hqdefault.jpg

Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 168 HP / 124 Atk / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Aerial Ace
- Aqua Tail
- Roost
Aerodactyl, while best probably suited at UU, can definitely put in a lot of work in the OU tier as well, simply because it is so uncommon, and the moveset is unpredictable. Most, when seeing a Mega-Aero assume a four attack styled set, but this is switching things up a bit as I'm bringing you a Pursuit Mega-Aerodactyl! This thing puts in work - Alazakam, Lati@s, Starmie, Serperior, Gengar, Keldeo, and even Torn-T don't work to face this thing - which is why this set is so good! Catch them on a pursuit! If you catch a super effective pokemon, it can OHKO, and otherwise it may just be the necessary damage you need to win! I have trapped things from Zard-Y to Tentacruel. This thing is SO fun to use!
The EV spread is so that if necessary, Mega-Aerodactyl can take one Draco Meteor from Life Orb Latios and roost it off, or alternatively pursuit the Lati. The limited Spe EV's are to ensure that you still outspeed musts - Mega-Lopunny as one example. Honestly, this thing is overlooked, and will continue to be overlooked by you even as you read this. You're missing out on some fun!

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Amoonguss is what it is. One of the best pivot users in the OU tier, and perfectly complimented with its ability, regenerator. Arguably one of the best Azumarill checks, Amoonguss is my first pokemon I chose when I was building my defensive trio. It takes care of Fairy types(not Gardevoir), Keldeo can't touch it, and its weakness[Psychic] is what Pursuit trap Aerodactyl feeds off of. It lures in Psychic types to be pursuited and as mentioned, if used correctly as a pivot, this thing can really trap your opponent indirectly. The EV spread is a little random, though it guarantees to live a Life Orb Starmie's Psychic, Offensive Talon's Brave Bird, and a Life Orb Weavile's Icicle Crash. This thing's longevity is ridiculous.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Lava Plume
Heatran is my second component of my defensive trio, complimenting Amoonguss and Rotom-W. It is a standard SpD Heatran, which works fine. It takes care of stall, Clefable can't touch it, Chansey can't heal on it, and Mew can't Synchronize toxic. This thing really is a beautiful pokemon to have when faced with Stall. It is my stealth rocker, and Draco Switch-in. It completely walls fire types which threaten amoonguss, deals with fairy types, and flying types. What more is there to say? You know how it works. It worked well with the team, so I plopped it on.
Rotom_Hydro_Pump.png

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

The final part to MY wonder trio, Rotom-W. This handles otherwise threats such as Mega-Pinsir, Lando-T, Sand Rush Excadrill, and Tyranitar. Of course it checks more than just that, Rotom-W is a premier pokemon in the OU tier for a good reason. It has a renowned job and it does that job well. Absorbing most physical hits within the OU tier, Rotom-W works beautifully on this team for a interesting reason - it lures in Lati@s(believe it or not) and if you volted switched, the Lati is dead. [Aerodactyl]
The trio of defensive pokemon really do work beautifully. There are of course exceptions that can destroy it - but they are extremely rare.
terrakion_by_tegrit-d58kgkt.jpg

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Rock Tomb
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
If you're anything like me, Terrakion may not appear to be the most appetizing Choice Scarf user just because of its lack of moves.. It can be hard to use at times. However, if put in the correct situation, this pokemon can shine. If you know how to use Justified correctly, Terrakion can pose to be a threat. Of course STAB Stone Edge and Close Combat hit hard too. This takes care of things Aerodactyl doesn't really enjoy, like Tyranitar, Heatran, Magnezone, Ferrothorn, and a big one - Kyurem B.
I have Rock Tomb simply because at times, relying on Stone Edge is just stupid, and truthfully there isn't really a better move to put over it.

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 248 HP / 112 Def / 148 SpD
Impish Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Defog
Finally, I threw on a Mew as it is my hazard control. I thought long and hard about who would take care of hazards for this team and after a lot of debate, I chose Mew. (which is ironic because I really don't like this thing that much) But, in this scenario it works great. Similar to Rotom, it has one job and it does that job well. My EV spread is not the standard, Max-Max spread, rather i have a mixed Mew, and it works!
I suppose if you desire you can change my EV spread but this is what has worked for me :]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have played with this team a lot, and I can promise you it is a solid team. I have something like a 32-5 W/L with it. Of course, winning depends more on your playing skill, but I can assure you if you know what you are doing, this team is both fun and good.

Hello. We joined the forums on the same day. xD Cool. Anyway, this is a pretty solid team. I like it. I think you should replace Amoonguss with BD Azu, because you already have Rotom as a pivot, and BD Azu can give you a solid late game sweeper and help with most of your three out of four of your mentioned weaknesses. You shouldn't have many problems with an opposing Azu as your Mew can burn it and so can Rotom. Azu is really slow and usually easy to predict when it's coming in, so this shouldn't be much of an issue. BD Azu can OHKO Slowbro with a +6 knock off, 2HKO Mega Bro, and OHKO Msab. I also suggest trying Scarf Lando-T over Terrakion. Lando-T can deal with pretty much all the same stuff that Terra can and also brings intimidate to the table, which can help against Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Azu, Kyu-B and Zard X.

I hope this helped. Have a good day and good luck battling.

Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off

yo. I noticed how this team dosent like dragon types like garchomp/hydregion/kyurem as ur dragon resist in heatran cant do much back to dragon types and will get widdled down pretty quickly. This is why i recommend u run clefable over mew. Clefable still acts like a fighting resist like mew but at the same time can resist dark and take on dragons. Clefable can also be a win-con by setting up calm minds and supporting the time by twaving so u can slow down mons and let ur other memebers on the team outspeed. You do lose out on defog but ur team isnt really hurt by defog besides ur aero and aero isnt ment to switch into anything.

User Hostel did say to use scarf landorus over terrakion but this team would just be weaker to sd bisharp as there is no switch in for that. lando can help vs scarf moldbreaker excadrill but u can play around exca with ammongus and rotom while bisharp is harder to be played around.

I do think the idea of running Clefable over Mew can be a possibility, i will have to test it first to see the kinds of effects it will have on the team, but i will definitely take your suggestion into consideration. Thanks :]

I appreciate your suggestions but i think amoonguss is fairly important to the team as it walls a lot of fairy types that heatran can't, and if i were to get rid of it azu would love to kill my team.. Its kind of like a compromise, if i were to add BD azu, i would gain more offensive pressure obviously but lose some defensive stability. I'll have to think about it. And i absolutely need terrakion just for bisharp as oml said, otherwise it just runs rampid on my team. But i appreciate your suggestions and yeah its funny how we joined at the same time! :]

so after some tests, Clefable can work over Mew but i still do think Mew works better on this team.. However, i found the best Clefable set with this team was a bolt/beam or dual blast Clefable set. however, at times hazards just were too much for my team believe it or not, and removal of them is necessary. I appreciate the suggestion!
