So uh...
I'm new to PU, and I didn't know what team to build.
So I went with an approach that I always do to introduce myself to a format. Trick Room.
I'm not very good at the lower tiers so I'm open to suggestions to improve it.
(Changed since Shuckle locked the original post)
Jellicent is a great Trick Room setter (even though the resource I used was USUM PU but still) and its excellent bulk for the tier and resistances to Charizard's primary STAB and can basically guarantee Trick Room unless a bad lead matchup happens like with Galvantula (with SpA investment) and Silvally-Ghost.
252 HP and 200 SpD makes Jellicent tank standard Sticky Web lead Galvantula's Thunder unless the Galvantula has SpA investment for some reason. 0 Spe for maximum speed in Trick Room.
Water Spout does massive damage to most passive PU walls if Jellicent gets Trick Room with full HP (unlikely but possible) and can pound resists for damage that most can't recover reliably. Shadow Ball is for basic STAB and can obliterate ghost type switch-ins.
Trick Room is obvious, it's the win condition of the team.
Will-O-Wisp is for crippling physical attackers that target Jellicent's weaker physical defense, and create an opening for Beheeyem and Vikavolt to come in safely.
Beheeyem is very powerful if it can get in on the field safely as it can OHKO a sizeable amount of the metagame. The only drawback is getting it in safely without it getting blasted to the next dimension by any of its weaknesses.
252 HP for just a bit of survivability against the damage it takes when it comes in the field. 252 SpA for the maximum power of an Analytic Life Orb STAB boosted Psychic.
Psychic is the most hard-hitting move Beheeyem can fire off continuously, and Shadow Ball destroys ghost switch-ins that would try to get in and shred Beheeyem.
Calm Mind isn't that optimal for Trick Room but it can take advantage of passive Pokémon .
Thunderbolt is basic coverage against a lot of Pokémon in the tier, I was conflicted between Thunderbolt or Energy Ball so I could hit rocks and grounds but I ended up with Thunderbolt so I can hit flyings (very common in PU) and waters for a lot of damage.
Aggron was an interesting pick for me because it was one of the only steels in the tier. but the secondary typing of rock has got to be the worst type combo in the gme, but the brunt of a 252 Atk Choice Banded Head Smash shreds through anything that's weak or has bad defense. It's also a switch-in to many Pokémon who targets like a bug move onto Beheeyem and pivot into Aggron it resist it, and then force them out by threating a super-effective hit and then read the opponent's switch into one of the teammates that can check Aggron, then you would switch into another Pokémon to check it (very situational and would require mind games but it'll work when it works).
252 Atk for the hardest-hitting Head Smashes and all the other moves except for Body Press, and 252 HP for great bulk and survivability for any move coming it's way.
Head Smash is it's main spam move (would've been Stone Edge or Rock Slide if I had Sturdy other than Rock Head) as this 150 BP move is only pulled back by it's low accuracy. Iron Head is for basic STAB.
Earthquake is for checking other Aggron and slamming them with a 4x effective move and eliminating a resist to Beheeyem and Vikavolt's primary STAB attacks.
Body Press was to use Aggron's higher physical defense and slam many Pokémon even Aggron is choice-locked into Body Press.
Gourgiest is a great check to many waters and still slam really hard with even neutral choice-banded Power Whip.
252 Atk for obvious reasons and 252 HP so it could survive a super-effective hit on switch and blow up on it.
Power Whip is the strongest STAB and most optimal for a banded Pokémon, and Poltergiest slams many Pokémon for hard-hitting neutral hit.
Rock Slide to switch into flyings while Trick Room is active and hit them for great damage or scare incoming ices off.
Explosion is to blow up on checks when you swap into it on accident because you're probably living a hit with those 252 HP EVs and delete the check that threatens more than half your team.
Regice absolutely deletes most of the tier with it's nearly perfect coverage.
252 SpA makes Regice hit like a truck and 248 HP with 8 SpD makes it basically invincible to neutral special attacks.
Ice Beam slices many Pokémon that isn't a resist for big damage and resists can get pounded Focus Blast as well as Thunderbolt to destroy Charizard in Trick Room and demolish Jellicent with Thunderbolt. Not much to say about. Ancient Power is possibly the only extra coverage move I could add to the set, so...
I could get a boost and I could read the switch into Charizard or another fire that comes in.
Vikavolt orginaly used to be Wishiwashi, but I thought I could use something more offensive, so I brought in an 145 SpA laser cannon space bug. I picked this so I could blast Pokémon with mostly neutral hits.
Bug Buzz and Thunderbolt for classic STAB and an Assault Vest for some extra special bulk so it can possibly survive one hit and fire back if Trick Room is not active.
Volt Switch is for pivoting uses if you're able to read the switch from the opponent, and then swap into the check you have that can deal with the Pokémon coming in.
Flasn Cannon for any rock-type walls that hopes to wall Vikavolt indefinetly.
So uh...
