Porygon2 is one of the bulkiest walls in OU with a useful ability in Trace, but it faces tough competition from other walls such as Chansey and Clefable. While it can act as a sponge to absorb strong attacks for its team, its passivity makes it unappealing to some players. Porygon2 is also extremely vulnerable to Knock Off and Toxic, and it lacks Leftovers recovery, all of which make it unreliable. However, it still has some offensive presence and an impressive movepool, which includes Thunder Wave, to support its team.

Discharge is an option over Thunderbolt if the 30% chance to paralyze is desired. However, it can conflict with Toxic, which can be detrimental. Toxic ensures Porygon2 can beat defensive threats with recovery and deal passive damage to more offensive ones. Thunder Wave stops faster sweepers, but it makes Porygon2 helpless against bulky Pokemon such as Cresselia. It's worth noting that Foul Play is a useful move against physical powerhouses such as Mega Metagross and Mega Charizard X.

Set Details
========

Trace is the preferred ability, allowing Porygon2 to copy many foes' useful abilities. It can copy Heatran's Flash Fire, Dragonite's Multiscale, Slowbro's Regenerator, and Landorus-T's Intimidate. Eviolite is a must, as it increases both Porygon2's Defense and Special Defense, greatly enhancing Porygon2's walling potential. With this EV spread, Porygon2 avoids the 2HKO from Landorus's Earth Power after Stealth Rock damage, and it also avoids the 2HKO from Life Orb Excadrill's Earthquake after sandstorm damage.

Usage Tips
========

Porygon2 must be cautious of Pokemon with the move Knock Off because without Eviolite, it becomes a burden. Porygon2 has problems against certain Calm Mind sweepers, especially Mega Sableye and Clefable, so it is best to switch to a teammate against them to avoid being setup bait. When in doubt, use Recover, as Porygon2 must stay healthy to check the threats it needs to. Against offensive Pokemon without recovery, heal with Recover and wear them down slowly with either Ice Beam or Thunderbolt. Finally, switch out against Fighting-types, as their super effective STAB moves will break through Porygon2's Defense.

Team Options
========

Clerics such as Clefable and Sylveon make for great teammates because of their ability to heal Porygon2 from statuses and also for their resistance to Fighting-type moves. Entry hazards wear Porygon2 down quickly, so Zapdos and Empoleon also make for good teammates because of their ability to use Defog. Porygon2 also has problems against defensive teams, so having a stallbreaker such as Talonflame or Manaphy on its team is helpful.

Other Options
########

STAB Tri Attack hits decently hard, but BoltBeam provides better coverage. Magic Coat is also viable, as it can surprise foes that try to Taunt or status Porygon2. Download is an option over Trace if you want Porygon2 to play a more offensive role. Porygon2 can also run a Trick Room set, as its bulk provides ample opportunities for it to set up. Charge Beam is another option, as it helps Porygon2 muscle through some bulky Pokemon, but it is not a very useful move otherwise. Hidden Power Fire can also be used, as it hits unsuspecting Scizor and Ferrothorn for 4x super effective damage.

**Calm Mind Sweepers**: Calm Mind sweepers such as Mega Sableye and Clefable stop Porygon2 cold with their bulk and abilities.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off users such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor can remove Porygon2's Eviolite, severely weakening its defenses.

**Swords Dance Sweepers**: Swords Dance sweepers such as Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Bisharp also do not mind Porygon2's attacks and can set up on it.

**Walls**: Chansey and Ferrothorn do not mind Porygon2's attacks and status moves too much, and they can status it or set up entry hazards on it, respectively.

**Fighting-types**: Keldeo, Conkeldurr, and Mega Lopunny can break through Porygon2 with their respective super effective STAB moves, but Keldeo and Mega Lopunny have to watch out for Thunder Wave and Toxic.

Yo, looks good overall. QC's been discussing a possible consolidation of the two sets into 1 (since all the moves are the same while usage tips n' team options are similar), with the set being called "Defensive" w/ a mixed spread. We haven't really come to a conclusion for the spread itself, but perhaps for now, something like 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 SpD Calm, which avoids the 2HKO from Landorus-I's Earth Power after Rocks, and also avoids the 2HKO from Adamant LO Excadrill's EQ factoring in Sand damage.

"Do not be afraid to take a hit if you have to, for example, Porygon2 can take a Secret Sword from SubCM Keldeo, if your team cannot beat it behind a Substitute" - Unnecessary line, this can be removed.

Give a mention that Foul Play allows Porygon-2 to deal very solid damage to Mega Metagross in particular, since you're also tracing Tough Claws. Imo it should be moved from OO to being a mention on the Phys. Def set at least (not a slash but a mention). It also hits relevant targets like Excadrill, Mega Charizard-X, and Gengar (2HKO instead of a 3HKO)

A mention of Trick Room in OO would be nice, since P-2 can easily set it up w/ its good bulk and is one of the few non-Psychic or Ghost TR setters, allowing for synergy. But also mention that it's usually inferior to other setters because it doesn't carry a sacking move (HWish, Boom, Memento) that would give a free turn to the TR attacker/sweeper. Also, add a mention of Charge Beam in OO, which allows Porygon to break various defensive Pokemon in certain situations.

I'd include some more stuff as to what Trace copies and how it can benefit from it, such as M-Altaria's Pixilate when using Tri-Attack, Multiscale from Dragonite, just so it's a bit more emphasized on the useful of Trace so readers can get the idea. Magic Coat under OO for its ability to deter stall-breaking in the sense of breaking it through Taunt and Utility moves that can be bounced back by Magic Coat. Looks solid blinkie QC 2/3 after that stuff is implemented.

Fairy-types such as Sylveon are good partners, as they can beat most Fighting-type attackers, while Mega Altaria gets a special mention for absorbing Knock Off from Pokemon like Mega Sableye. (Redundant) Porygon2 has problems with more defensive teams, so a stallbreaker such as Talonflame or Manaphy is helpful.

Other Options

A STAB Tri Attack can hit hits decently hard with STAB, but Ice Beam and Thunderbolt BoltBeam already provide provides good better coverage. Shadow Ball hits some targets such as Mega Metagross, Gardevoir, and Jirachi harder, but is useless otherwise. (Foul Play was already mentioned earlier; it's more useful than Shadow Ball against said threats). Magic Coat is also viable as it can surprise foes that try to Taunt or status Porygon2. Download is an option over Trace, if you want Porygon2 to play a more offensive role. but it is unreliable, and Porygon2 appreciates defensive utility from Trace much more than the potential extra power from Download. Porygon2 can also run a Trick Room set, as its bulk allows ample opportunities for it to set up. typing provides decent synergy with other common setters, however, it cannot use moves such as Memento and Lunar Dance, meaning the Trick Room attacker has to take a hit switching in. Charge Beam is an another option as it helps Porygon2 muscle pass through some more bulky Pokemon, but it is not a very helpful useful move otherwise. Hidden Power Fire can also be used, as it hits unsuspecting Scizor and Ferrothorn for 4x, super effective damage.


Checks & Counters

**Calm Mind Sweepers**: Several Calm Mind sweepers such as Mega Sableye and Clefable stop that Porygon2 cold with their bulk and abilities. can't hurt with status simply set up on it due to the weak nature of its attacks.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off users such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor , and Gliscor can remove Porygon2's Eviolite, severely weakening its defenses. However, they need to be aware of coverage moves such as Ice Beam for Gliscor.
**Swords Dance Sweepers**: Some Swords Dance sweepers such as Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Bisharp also do not mind Porygon2's attacks and can set up on it. and although Thunder Wave annoys the latter two, both Bisharp and Mega Scizor also can use Knock Off on Porygon2 (Redundant. Also both Bisharp and Mega Scizor carry priority moves, so Thunder Wave is not a reliable option to stop them from sweeping).
**Walls**: Walls like Chansey and Ferrothorn do not mind Porygon2's attacks or status moves too much, and they can status it or set up hazards on it, respectively.

Ok, this is an extremely difficult check to work through here. I tried a few ways to highlight things that shouldn't be added or removed, and tried to show things that were fine before the edits but also fine afterwards. It really wasn't working.

The only thing holding me back from stamping this is the sheer number of changes. WhiteQueen I'm not finding anything at all wrong with what you wrote--the only issue is there was, in my opinion, a great deal was changed that didn't need to be. Changing one word for another, swapping parts of a sentence around, etc...while what you have in blue in this check is good, it pretty much rewrote half the analysis. So really, blinkie, it's up to you how much you want implement of this. You can implement anything, but if you'd prefer to keep what you'd written in some of these sentences, that's OK too. If you want my opinion, the first three paragraphs are pretty much good to implement, while the later ones have a bit more 'unneeded' changes. For checks and counters, WQ's version is mostly superior.

If you implement everything or close to it, you can pretty much count this 1/2. If there's a lot of WQ's check you don't implement (either because you were unsure of the edits he made or such), tag me or anybody else and I'll be glad to go through it as normal.
