Original Pokemon: Dondozo
New Pokemon: Dondodo
Type: Rock/Flying
Abilities: Flightless Rage/Reckless
Stats: 90/140/75/95/75/55 (Total: 530)
Weight: 350 lbs
Movepool Changes:
+: Head Smash, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rollout, Sandstorm, Stone Edge, Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Brave Bird, Defog, Dual Wingbeat, Fly, Gust, Pluck, Roost, Dragon Dance
-: Water Gun, Dive, Soak, Aqua Tail, Wave Crash, Water Pulse, Chilling Water, Waterfall, Liquidation, Surf, Hydro Pump, Order Up
Custom Elements: Flightless Rage: When a Pokemon with this ability is grounded, its Attack and Special Attack stats are increased by one stage. These boosts go away if it is somehow ungrounded.
("Grounded" is defined as being under the effects of Smack Down, Thousand Arrows, Ingrain, Gravity, or holding an Iron Ball. Roost technically counts as grounding a Pokemon since it loses Flying type, but the only time this would matter is if Foul Play is used after a Pokemon with this ability uses Roost, and with Dondodo's speed stat this is very unlikely.)
Flavor / Explanation: A Pokemon recovered from a fossil, Dondodo has stubby wings that can, by some twist of logic, can support its incredibly heavy body, albeit barely. As such, this big fellow hovers close to the ground, and doesn't like being on the ground in general. When forcibly put on the ground, it lashes out at anything and everything.
Competitive Role: Dear god, this thing hits hard. It can be used as a physical sweeper due to its high attack, however its low speed can be an issue. I also believe that the ability Flightless Rage allows for interesting sets, perhaps making Iron Ball useful for once (although probably not.)
