Pokemon you didn't give enough credit

Hariyama - I thought he was horrible until I saw him in a battle...

With Fake Out, Bullet Punch, Guts and an Orb, its a pretty good pokemon...
 
I'd say ambipom, although the monkey is becoming pretty popular now. I am also a big fan of an anti speed lickilciky set

Gyro Ball
Hammer Arm
Explosion
Curse/Power whip/fling (iron orb)

It can usually take down a poke and then explode on the next one
 
i always thought lucario was very overrated, but he is versatile! special with dark pulse, dragon pulse and aura sphere, and physical with swordsdance and bulletpunch, extreme speed and blazekick(it's sweet>.<)
 
Empoleon. I always though he was horrible and had a terrible moveset, but it owned my team once. It just has no weaknesses other than EQ (I wasn't using Electric)!
 
Medicham. I used him for a while when I first started, then scrapped him for Ninjask. After I started getting my ass kicked too much on shoddy for relying on Ninjask, I took Medicham back and slapped a scarf on him. Damn, I was amazed.

Also, Tangrowth. I never thought of them overmuch, but these guys have really been walling me lately.
 
He just happened to have a few pogers that were weak to Wood Hammer. I predicted his switch and he let one by one fall. Then that rat bastard brought Golem in and CH'd :( Then proceeded to rape me with Quagsire/Golem! But Relicanth wouldn't let me down <3
 
The non-spinning Starmie has saved my ass multiple times. (Surf, Ice Beam, Grass Knot, T-bolt).

Empoleon- I thought he would suck, being EQ-weak, along with a Fighting weak. The E4 kinda roughed him up, but he makes a good mix of wall/attacker.
 
CB Lucario with Espeed. I had my doubts, but he packs a punch.

Also, giving Regice 192 Sp.Attk EVs didn't look good, but I'm incredibally thankful of it.
 
Hariyama's been impressing me with knock off, counter, and a few chance paralysis from force palm lately. Works well as a lead to support the team.

Sudowoodo is insane on a Trick Room team. It gets a no-recoil Wood Hammer to smash things with. It gets a STAB Stone Edge to work off its 100 base attack. Explosion is also very deadly. A lot of Earthquake users seem to forget that it does have 115 base defense and can use Counter to send their hits back at them. 30 speed is a bummer, but on a Trick Room that, it's basically faster than everything. Hammer Arm is also very nice and works with his speed. Sucker Punch can compensate for the ass speed. Rock Polish can be used on a non-trick room team to boost it to a respectable level. Heck, even Copycat can be used if you have good prediction. If a ghost tries to use Shadow Ball or Shadow Claw on you, you predict and use Copycat and then it annihilates them with their own move.

Nifty eh?
 
i honestly haven't been battling competitively for too long, maybe 3 months... but anyways, i was reading some strategies, and i heard Weezing's name pop up. I was like, Weezing? WEEZING?!? ha, yeah right..
and then came my first wifi battle ever. The guy sent out his "CancerDai" pokemon. i was like HA, like that'll do much... then boom. how am i supposed to know 2 connecteded purple balls could create lightning or breathe fire?

but i've used one in my team ever since..
 
Mixed attacking Kingdra. You'd be amazed how anti-wall it is.

You send it out, they expect Surf, and switch to Blissey. Blissey eats a 2HKO Waterfall.

And in the rain, which it can set up, its speed goes above many Scarf users with Swift Swim.

Mixed attackers are few and far between, so when they appear, not much stopping them.

Also, with Dragon Pulse, it can be a Dragon Slayer.
 
i tried the forgotten carnivine as a double staus with life orb and it did alright, people should give our venusflytrap friend a shot because with magnezone support and two stauts inflicting attacks this this can cause some annoyance and dish a hit or two with pwoerwhip and impressive attack, it works well in trickroom with that low speed but other things can do that better with higher attack.
