My potential in-game team would probably go like this:

Rowlet
Alolan Muk
Alolan Marowak
Jangmo-o
Mimikyu
Pyukumuku

It's basically a collection of some of my favorite Gen 7 mons that don't stack typings with each other (I just can't deal with that in-game xD)
 
My team for pokemon sun:
Rowlet
Mudbray
Mimikyu
Grubbin
Rockruff
Jangmo-o

My team mostly consists of my favourite gen 7 'mons. Although I want to try others like A-Vulpix, A-muk, Passimian, etc. Gen 7 just has too many amazing 'mons that makes selecting in game teams difficult.

marowak and mimik share typing iirc
 
My in game team is looking like:

Litten
Oricorio Ghost
Cutiefly
Rockruff (Day)
A-Sandshrew
Wishiwashi (though if there's a better water type this may change)

Edit - this is my Sun team.

For Moon I may pack as many Alola forms in as I can.

If the game is like X and Y and we can over level the content due to exp share, then you can always keep two teams so you don't out level the enemies.

That's what I did. Just put Mimi on team A and Maro on team B
 
I generally only use the starter to beat the game (partly thanks to the HMs) but I think I could use something like this:

-Rowlet 3 (Grass/Flying)
-Litten 3 (Fire/Dark?)
-Popplio 3 (Water/Fairy?)
-Midday!Lycanroc (Rock)
-Hakamo-o (Dragon/Fighting)
-Sylvally (Anything else) EDIT: or Vikavolt (Bug/Electric) in case we get Sylvally in the postgame.

has there been any word of an area like friend safari returning? I'm interested in hidden abilities of mons such as the starters and how we obtain them.
 
I'm unsure what my final team will be all I know is that I will have Popplio3 in it.

I need to see the rest of the Pokemon typings before I decide.
 
Has alolan dugtrio been officially revealed?
I want to ask about it in the generic demo thread.
If I can't , this is the question: how do I make the beach person appear to take a picture of a-dugtrio?
 
I'm going to be totally heartless, and make my final team only when the stats and egg moves leak. That being said, I know of 3 Pokemon that are already going on my team.

Magearna: Since Battle Spot Special Season 1 allows this, I will probably include this on my team (unless its stats are super terrible, but I doubt it).

Ash Greninja: I'm skeptical that Ash Greninja is gonna be really good in competitive play, but with those stats, I bet it will CRUSH ingame, which will get me to the grinding for online battles faster.

Snorlax: The event Munchlax includes Happy Hour to make me more cash, and Hold Back to make catching Pokemon easier, so this will probably be a nice utility mon!

If they aren't post game, I will probably include some of the Tapus as well, assuming they have kick ass field abilities, since I will want to get them to level 100 for bottle capping!

As for starters, I will choose either which ever one needs its egg moves the least, or the 2nd most popular one to breed and make a killing on GTS.

He's made speculations about the puffball and space orb being stage 1 and 2 for Lunala and Solgaleo. Also explained the last set of riddles.
 
So, I though I'd cover all the relevant leaks, and how they relate back to the datamine.

Starter Art Leak: ALL REAL

- Yep, to all the Mallow deniers out there, there's no denying it now.

Chinese Leak: MOSTLY REAL

- As has been discussed, no snowman or dolphin. Crabyeti and Tapu Fishy are debatable, I suppose, but I think it's a stretch.
- "Logo diamonds" (Z-Crystals) causing transformations...we don't know. All we have are the Pokemon Center images, so in-battle forms are still unrevealed. (hence why we haven't seen the Solgaleo and Lunaala Phases).
- Marshadow has an unique Type Combo and Poppliovely is Water/Fairy: Again, we don't know yet, but it seems rather plausible (Ghost/Normal, please!)

"Real Leaks" Leak: Ehhhh

- None of the Alola Forms line up. Sorry Arcamarine fans, not gonna happen :|
- 2 Stage Ice/Ghost snowman and 2 Stage Breeding Cat are a no-go.
- Transferred VC Mons have old Types/Stats...another uncertainly.

Everything else in that particular leak has been spot-on. So what we have to ask is: are Crabrawler's evo and the purple island deity the "snowman" and "dolphin", or are there more new Pokémon that aren't in the Alola Dex? Tough to say; the crab I could easily see being the snowman. The dolphin is harder to swallow.
 
As said before, the "snowman" in question could mean either snowman proper or a yeti. From my extremely limited knowledge of Chinese characters the word in question was something to the effect of "snow person" so Yeti Crab fits just fine.
 
I am almost positive that the "dolphin" is the purple Tapu island guardian thing in its "closed" form, and that the snowman is actually Sandygast. Its possible the Chinese leaker saw an early version of it, possibly a sketch that wasn't colored yet, and mistook the pile of sand as a pile of snow.

As an Arcanine fan, I'm not too disappointed. Arcanine classic is still fricken awesome and I'm satisfied enough by him being on the story-mode roster, unlike his status as post-game only last generation. The one fake-leak Alolan forme that I'm disappointed didn't happen was the Bug/Psychic Butterfree. In addition to being a good new type combo, it would have been incredibly appropriate given how Psychic moves have been some of the most prominent on Butterfree's movepool.

It was, but just like the Starter Evos, a lot of people refused to believe the evidence. They just wanted that water dog a bit too badly, I suppose.

Everything else we know so far is spot on, but there's still a lot that's yet to be seen.

And I doubt we have new Mons beyond the Alola Dex. I mean, it may not be impossible (D/P Sinnoh Dex, I'm looking at you), but I think it's fair to say we have seen all of the new Mons and out of battle forms that SuMo has to offer.

Yeah, those are the kinds of stretches I've been seeing in regard to the absence of a dolphin, and that's fine. I just don't want people getting their hopes up for more new Mons that will almost certainly not come.
