Ubers is a ban tier for Pokémon deemed too powerful for the OU enviorment, whether or not it will be in Ubers is not decided by how well it preforms in Uber but by how well it preforms in OU.
Yep... >_< And now that Scizor has Bullet Punch, looks like one of my favorite Pokemon is going to say goodbye and fade back into the darkness again...

I hope gengar won't drop to BL :P everyone gets new powerful toys to play with and bullet punch/pursuit scizor may hurt gengar bad... HP fire time >=(
a lot of ubers outspeed 127 base speed...? The only non-scarf ubers I could think of that outspeed 127 speed are mewtwo and deoxys... and Scarf-everything outspeeds everything in ubers if you want to argue that way...
Also poor coverage is an overstatement. Like you said, seed flare takes out kygore and groudon, and takes out a huge chuck from palkia. Earthpower should hurt dialga badly. Skymin outspeeds darkrai so seed flare should be able to OHKO 0/0 darkrai.
A sky shaymin with <125 base speed would mean a big warm welcome back to weavile. However he has that irritating 2 base speed more. SO the only way weavile can do something is by ice sharding. which I sincerely doubt will OHKO. therefor Shaymin has almost no safe switch in. Even blissey can't if it means that she is going to suffer from -2Sdf when she does. Therefor Skymin will be uber. Maybe not straight away. But it'll get there no doubt.
Hypnosis accuracy dropping back down to 60 doesn't make much sense so I'll continue to doubt it until there's official confirmation. Unless they really want to make D/P incompatible with Platinum. <___________<
Lucario getting Ice Punch is huge despite the prevalence of HP Ice Lukes since it won't have to invest in Spec Att EVs to fuck up Gliscor.

Seems like the only BL/low OU Pokemon to get significant upgrades are Kingdra and Scizor.

Confirmed from Pokebeach. The alternate rotoms are all Ghost/Electric, also their in-game sprites.
Also I think the drop of hypnosis to 60 percent makes sense because Nintendo changed the ruling on their official video game tournaments to include only *Platinum games. This could have been for both marketing reasons and technical reasons. More than just hypnosis has probably been changed, and it will probably keep things more simpler if only platinum is allowed because of that.

i checked it myself and it does say 60% in-game (when you select the move description) T_T. I hope it is a typo by gamefreak :P
About the dp compatibility, platinum can simply overwrite the old games in linked battles just like how US pursuit overwrites the Japanese pursuit.
So basically the differences between the new forms will be purely cosmetic? =/

The new forms have high base stats and each form learns a powerful elemental attack - leafstorm, blizzard, hydropump, and overheat.
I believe the overwriting is only temporarily though.

I guess that makes some sense. But was the 10% increase in accuracy from ADV to D/P really that significant enough to change mid-gen? Of all the complaints heard around here about the metagame, Hypnosis' accuracy was hardly ever brought up, if at all. Unless you're insinuating that the technical change is being used as an excuse to push the 3rd game as the "game" to get...
And you'll need many more tries than 15 to significantly "prove" that the accuracy drop is there. -_-; My statistics are a bit rusty but it'll probably > 100 tries.
I'll try it when I have time...
Maybe in the Japanese metagame the 70% accuracy is game breaking? Who knows.

if you want to test the probability of hypnosis hitting, you will need more than 100 trials, id shoot for the neighborhood of 150-200. That might seem like a lot, but it makes it easier to see the diffrence between 70 and 60%. If that seems like too much, get with someone else and each of you do half.
Sorry, but are you saying Shaymin won't be Uber because it's not able to cope with the Uber metagame?
Neither can Wobbufet, it's just too broken for OU.
Garchomp can to some extent, but it's too powerful for OU.

10% difference can mean you hit or you don't. 70% accuracy didn't help much, for me it seemed to always miss anyway, now that it's possibly back to 60%...
I might as well swap it out with Will O Wisp or another attack move...

And HP Fire won't help Gengar much. You have to hit on the switch or when they SD (unlikely) or you're dead when they tap you with Bullet Punch, or if you want to switch, Pursuit.
