Pokemon Legends - Arceus - 28th Jan 2022 *Official Content Only*

I bet all Noble Pokémon are Generation 4 and the new Hisuian forms and newly introduced evolutions, so it could be Froslass, Wormadam, Vespiquen, Blissey (since Happiny is introduced in Gen 4), or a Hisuian form or, as you said, a new regional evolution (or standard evolution, either works) for any female-exclusive species.

Hisuian Mandibuzz (though that don't fit that well for a "lady" description), an evolution for Illumise (with an evolution for Volbeat), or even taking the word "ladybug" literally and have a Ledian evolution that have a feminine design and this Noble one in particular is female.
Since it seems Wyrdeer & Basculegion are noble Pokemon (albeit, maybe not ones you have to fight like Kleavor) it kind of feels more like none of the Noble pokemon are generation 4.

Like Scyther's at least in the Platinum Dex, I guess? But none of the new pokemon or forms have been for actual gen 4 pokemon (or their immediate family).

So, you're saying that means all Noble Pokémon could be only Hisuian forms and new evolutions? That's a way to put a nice spotlight onto new Pokémon and the new variants of the game so I won't complain as long as the type overlap isn't too big (such as three Flying-type in a total of ten Nobles).

With the focus on Noble Pokémon, and with each of them having a distinct traveling function (Wyrdeer being land ride, Basculegion being swim, and Hisuian Bravery being fly, with possibility of Kleavor being Cut and perhaps Rock Smash), there might be about six or seven Nobles, if not more.

We already reached 92 Generation 8 Pokémon if we combine the three revealed new evolutions so far and all of Galar's original 89 Pokémon. If we added Galar's 19 regional variants and two revealed Hisui regional forms, that makes a total of 113, which is impressive.

What's up with the Ursaring on Mai's top? I mean it looks angry (duh) but it looks like it's...riding a cloud? Lol. Probably another one for the dex without a Hisuian forme as it looks normal otherwise.

"Noble" Pokemon basically seem like area bosses. Like there'll be frenzied Pokemon, but those are just like midbosses, but Noble pokemon are the ones you're specifically going to be tasked to deal with to move on

The website specifically shows Wyrdeer as a noble Pokemon alongside Kleavor. I imagine Basculegion & Hisui Braviary are as well.

I'm going to guess all the Noble Pokemon will be tied to some HM/Ride that lets you explore further out. We have Fly, Surf, riding/bike, and Cut so far. Rock Smash, Strength, and two of Waterfall, Defog, or Rock Climb to take us to 8.

I'm digging that they're expanding on Totem Pokemon. Always felt like a good idea for the series that wasn't utilized well. Neat that there will (hopefully) be plenty of subboss/Alpha pokemon to find.

Now I'm not going to say that gamefreak is going to stick to their 8 gym format by giving us 8 Noble pokemon

but--

Thought it might be good to look at the stats for a second. All of them seem to be higher than what a Drifblim should have for its level and by a lot. For reference, a level 32 Drifblim with all 31 IVs, 252 EVs in every stat, and a neutral nature will give you a spread of 168, 86, 63, 92, 69, 86. These stats are impossible as they are now. Either Drifblim has had a major stat buff or the stats system has been reworked. Also there's these new numbers and meters next to the stats. I figure they have something to do with a new way to level up stats.
It also shows Drifblim knowing Mystical Fire and Extrasensory, neither of which it could learn previously.

Unrelated, but this outfit is clean as all hell.

I dunno how well it fits the period but it's awesome nonetheless.

I see what's going on here Ginko Frinko. You ain't slick, you ain't slick

Also hallelujah we finally know what that unrecognizable bizarro mon from the image leaks is, a Scyther regional evo(?) was not what I was expecting
Also meant to comment on this hours ago, but I seem to recall an interview mentioning that Clay was meant to represent someone coming to America and striking it rich. An "american dream" type person.

So his ancestor being a Sinnoh (or Hisui, I suppose) native is a fun call back to that idea.

I think that's basically normal english genteel clothes of the era

Scyther getting an evolution? And its a rock type? Hmm... Kabutops being Scyther theories have awoken.

But I haven't seen anything that altered my opinion. I was going to get this game anyways but still not in hype modus. I feel the remakes got far more impressive stuff to show which is kinda ironic considering what the former has to offer.

And then you realize her Noble Pokemon is Wyrdeer, an evolution of a Pokemon known for distorting reality and, more critically, being able to learn Trick Room.
I’m sorry, stantler???? Distorting reality???? With what? It’s mall santa beard????

but anyways, talking about my thoughts on Kleavor, I think it’s pretty alright. Albeit sorta weird, I like the concept of a Scyther evolution with fat fuckin axes for hands, and you can never go wrong with axes (see: bisharp, axew line). Now as cool as this mon is, (competitive mons nerd alert)I’m near 97% sure that this mon is either gonna be:
A) slow as balls
B) frail as shit
C) maybe even both

Will that stop me from possibly wrecking shit with it? No. But bug/rock just ain’t it when it comes to defensive utility.
The frenzied totem whatever is kinda wacky I suppose, but I guess I’d just have to wait for the plot to see how this really works out.
Also, FINALLY, drifblim gets an actual fire move! I’m surprised it wasn’t done sooner, considering that it has quite a lot of association, what with it being a hot air balloon, getting will o wisp, and even getting a signature ability that’s basically special guts. Now if only it had air slash…:

Rock does seem like a mechanical oddity for a continuation with the scyther family. I think of Technician as such an iconic piece of the line that I have a hard time imagining Kleavor won't have it. Rock is relatively lacking in good Technician moves, with Accelrock's claim to fame of being priority is something that Scizor already does. I guess maybe they're thinking that since abilities may be working differently in Legends that the line needs a replacement for Technician? But then Technician isn't reliant on any other mechanic so it would be easy to port if abilities existed at all and it seems like such a step backwards to not have them.

Plot twist: We get a Hisuian Snorlax/new branched evo for Munchlax that is very thin and fast
As much as I'd love that I think we've already seen Snorlax briefly in the trailer. I haven't watched the trailer yet but I saw it in a screenshot

Gamefreak needs to stop being cowards and tap into the meme potential that is a buff Snorlax, whether it's a split Evolution, regional form, a Mega, whatever. Just do it already

Regarding Kleavor's potential stats, here's my two cents

It has a pitiful defensive typing, but it's offensive typing, while meh, could work given it has access to decent coverage moves, like Earthquake or Superpower. I feel like it'll have Technician no doubt, since the other two members of the Scyther family tree have access to it, and Gamefreak knows how much people love Technician Scizor considering they let him keep it on his Mega Evolution.

As for the stats, I think it could actually pull off a fast, frail attacker. It's already mediocre defensively so focusing purely on raw attacking and offense could work well for it, if it has good coverage moves of course. While it does look "bulky" I still think you could justify it having a speed stat over 70 at the bare minimum. He isn't weighed down by heavy steel like Scizor, he looks like he could be decently fast. If it does end up being slow, then I think Accelrock + Technician could be a cool combo to mitigate that.

But knowing Gamefreak, it will end up with Keen Eye and a stat spread similar to Rampardos, and no Accelrock.

Well, I guess one new Pokemon in a news drop is better than zero. :P

Can't say I'm a fan of Kleavor's look so far. I'm normally not one to accuse Pokemon games of having N64 graphics, but Kleavor's rocky design really does make it kind of look overly polygonal to me. I don't know why, but when I look at it all I can hear is the Lizalfos sound from Ocarina of Time.

At very least Kleavor being officially revealed puts to rest the idea that it was another Farfetch'd evolution (coming from the leaked scan before the first trailer, not the time between this trailer and website update). Can't fault people for thinking that though, that face does look kind of like a duck.

One thing I'm wondering about the Noble Pokemon is if they will have something special about them like Totems to distinguish them from regular members of their species, or if we'll even be able to use them for anything other than ye olde Pokerides and we have to catch/evolve our own to use the mon in battle. I don't think we've seen the player using any of the new mons in battle (just riding on them while commanding another mon), and we've only seen the player fight wild Growlithe.

By the way, the presence of Empoleon in one of the snaps probably will kill any pretense of "regional starter evo".

I think all but the most optimistic were expecting regular evos for the Sinnoh starters, and speculation about regional start evos is around the non-native starters, so that's not going to die unless we see Decidueye, Typhlosion, or Samurott.

My main wonder about this mystery Pokemon is not only what it is, but what it would do. You ride on Wyrdeer and Basculegion to travel through land and water, and you get carried by Braviary to fly. If it's something like Lilligant or Tsareena or Vespiquen, what would they even do? They're not the right shape or size to ride or get carried by. My only guess is maybe Nidoqueen? Ride her like Rhydon in Let's Go, and she'd carry you across rough terrain like Mudsdale Gallop or something? That doesn't really feel all that likely, but it's the best I can come up with.

Well, first off we're just assuming they all map to map actions. It's fully possible that some Noble pokemon are purely just strong Pokemon we fight.

but if it's someone like, say, Nidoqueen or Tsareena or whatever, they could be "rock smash". You don't necessarily need to ride them all, either. Someone like Kleavor could just follow behind when you call it and chop down trees, for example, and that could extend to any other actiosn available.
