Before I get started, I want to say that I searched the general rules and the ones specifically for this forum and none of them said anything about alcohol. So as an adult of legal age to consume beverages that contain alcohol, one of the hobbies that I have picked up in addition to gaming is actually brewing my own beer. I put together recipes, gather ingredients, brew the liquid, ferment it and then bottle it for later. It's something that is satisfying and provides me with better and cheaper beer than is available commercially.
I am planning a video game themed Halloween party for this year and I'd like to serve some of my homebrews with pokemon-themed names attached. So far I have cooked up a few puns that I think are pretty fun, but I'd like to gather as many ideas as possible before I select the beverages I want to serve. So far I have some up with:
PikaBrew (Pikachu + brew, pretty simple)
Nuzleaf Brown Ale (Nuzleaf + Nut Brown Ale)
Lucario's Aura sBeer (Play on Aura Sphere)
I was hoping that some of you creative pokemon fans would be willing to help come up with some new pun-names centered around beer & pokemon. If you aren't old enough to know about styles of beer, then don't worry about it. If you are, you can probably find information about alcohol on your own, so I'm not going to link off to any beer sites in this post. What I am looking for are clever turns on the name of a beer style, combined with the name of a Pokemon or move. The better known the pokemon or the more clever the pun, the better chance I'll use your name for my party!
I am starting the process months early because I only have the equipment to do one brew at a time and it takes about a month from the time I start the brew until it is ready to drink, sometimes longer. I don't want to dedicate my entire set up for the entire fall to brewing for the party, so I'm going to start this summer and stash away the stuff for the party between batches of the other brews I want to make.
One more note: I do not abuse alcohol and I do not condone the abuse of alcohol. I limit myself to 1-2 drinks a week and I never consume alcohol for the purpose of getting drunk. I do not believe you should consume alcohol until you are of legal age. So please, do not turn this thread into a discussion on getting drunk or any illegal activities. I am willing to answer questions about homebrewing if the mods are ok with it. Otherwise, please keep the discussion limited to coming up with some hilarious pokemon beer names.
