True, though for a lot of Pokemon Mega Stone vs Life Orb is a relevant discussion, Blaziken included.
Actually, scratch that. In Ubers anyway, thanks to Blaziken not taking LO recoil, (the added defense doesn't mean shit btw) Blaziken now might be able to defeat Extremekiller Arceus 1v1. Extremespeed does a max of 83.11 to Mega Blaziken, which isn't even an OHKO after rocks. No LO damage = no KO unless HJK misses or we use Flare Blitz and get recoil. And MegaBlaziken OHKOs back with HJK

edit: in addition, because of the increased speed and speed boost, MegaBlaziken can afford to run a nature besides Jolly. With Adamant, it barely outdamages its Life Orb counterpart while having higher speed and slightly higher defenses.

Edit: If males can pass down abilities, what would happen in the following scenario? Male Multiscale Dragonite + Female Feraligatr.
Sheer Foce Gatr, or perhaps the offspring must be of the same species as the DW parent in order to inherit the ability?

So with the males passing down hidden abilities confirmed, is every hidden ability obtainable when you breed with DW Ditto?

Wanted to ask these, too. Even if DW Ditto doesn't work (not that we'd be able to find out until December), if a DW male bred with a non-DW female from a different evolution line can produce DW babies, then that'd mean every single DW ability would be eventually obtainable from just the event Torchic and a select handful of females.

Has anybody managed to do this yet? IMO this is something big enough to deserve getting tested. I'm trying it myself right now, but one person's results only mean so much until I actually get one.

Has anyone found the IV judge in this game or is he not in it this time?

To elaborate on what je5us said, the city in the lower right of the map not connected to anything is Kiloude, the post-game city. The IV judge is in the Pokemon Center there.

In addition to the usual overall stats (decent, above average, etc.) and the highest stat (fantastic, definitely got some good stats, etc.), he will also now mention if a stat is abysmal. I don't know if this is new, but I've certainly never encountered it before.

"I see... I see...
This Pokemon's potential is decent all around.
That's how I judge it, anyway.
Incidentally, I would say that its greatest potential lies in its Speed stat.
This Pokemon has some fantastic stats. That's how I judge it.
But this Attack stat... It's terrible..."
(Salamence)

"...But how can you make it through battle with this kind of Defense stat?"
(Aurorus)

Can the Judge now determine if an IV is set to 0 or below 10, perhaps?

Does anyone have any data for Swirlix/Slurpuff? I am really digging their design, but I can't seem to find any info on them anywhere. It is one of the only pokemon on the page that still doesn't have base stats. I would do it myself, but I have no idea how that works...

EDIT: According to Pokemon Showdown, Slurpuff's base stats are 100 Hp, 95 Atk, 90 Def, 65 SpA, 75 SpD, and 30 Spe. Swirlix's base stats are 60 Hp, 45 Atk, 62 Def, 57 SpA, 57 SpD, and 46 Spe. I had pretty high hopes for Slurpuff but a physical based fairy-type doesn't seem all too great...

EDIT 2: Well now I'm back to square 1... http://puu.sh/4PSVj.png

Finally got a timid Froakie that likes to run out of like 40 eggs

Stats are 11/5/5/6/6/6

Dunno how to calc IV's though so if anyone could for me that would be great. gonna Super train it before leveling it

I received an Imposter Ditto today with the help of friend safari. I placed it in the day care with a male Static Pikachu and hatched eight Pichu eggs. Every single one of them hatched with the ability static. Though it is a small sample size, it looks as if Imposter Ditto cannot pass down hidden abilities to the children of parents with normal abilities. If anyone wants to tamper with a few variables like using a female parent instead, please do. I'm too tired to go on with it.

Hmm, so genderless Pokemon are in trouble as far as hidden abilities, at least until we find a way to get them directly. Same goes for Legendaries, but that was a given.

http://www.marriland.com/forums/pokemon-6th-generation/pokemon-x-y/448335-pokemon-terrain-moves
I found this claim that Nature Power turns into a different move when the effects of the new "Terrain" moves are in play. For example, Misty Terrain will turn Nature Power into Moonblast. Also, the strategy guide comes out in less than a couple days from now according to Amazon. From that, you guys should be able to gather a whole slew of data regarding attacks, items, abilities, new Pokemon retypings and Mega evolutions.

Thanks, is there any way identify the super sized pumpkaboo? Or is the difference solely in ''size''?
As well as what R_N said a super size Pumpkaboo has a deeper pitched cry than it's other forms.

BTW, when preeding Pumpkaboos, the size of the offspring is determined by the mother. So if you breed a small female Pumpkaboo with a large male Pumpkaboo, you'll get a small sized offspring. I know this because I've been breeding Super size Pumpkaboos to see if their size can be inherited.

I think pancham evolves earlier than 35, I put an Inkay in my party bc I was grinding and when it leveled up to 32, it evolved! I'm thinking it is 29, I read that somewhere

Has a nature always contributed to the characteristic of a pokemon? Because so far ive bred 12 froakies with the timid nature and all of them have speed characteristics

when will the full guide of pokemon come? the one of where it enlists all the details like stats and the rest of the mega pokemon?

A wild Pokemon can no longer use Whirlwind to end a fight. Tried to capture several wild Sigilyph and their Whirlwind always gave a "but it failed!" message.

Considering that XY have not been decrypted yet and therefore no access to actual game data, all information is coming from users contributing information. If you want to know more, read through the thread and if you don't want to wait, find out things yourself.

EDIT;; I just realized today is my 6th anniversary of being a Smogon member, woot!

It's 32 minimum, according to Serebii. I didn't bother testing at any lower level with mine, since I didn't have any Dark-types in my permanent team, but I'd imagine it's correct.

And I'm pretty sure wild Pokemon can still use Roar to end a fight, at least; I seem to recall a Houndour Roaring my team away on Rt. 10.

Ah, well Whirlwind always failed against me and none of my Pokemon have Suction Cups. It could just be Whirlwind and not Roar so I'll edit my post to reflect that.

It's correct. My Pancham hit level 31 and didn't evolve even though I had a Greninja in my party.

I've noticed in many wild encounters that Roar doesn't work either.

I've also noticed Ghost seem to be able to run from any wild battle. Doublade could 100% without fail always run from a wild battle even though he was usually slower or even paralyzed at times. But at the same time, I've had my other non-Ghost types not be able to run away because they were slower. It seems the Ghosts new abilities to avoid trapping attacks and abilities has spread to fleeing wild battles as well.

Ah, didn't know about the decryption part...but anyway, surely nintendo will release a guide on all the mega pokemon and stats.....I was asking WHEN it will be released...and you don't have to be rude....I can't buy the game yet due to personal reasons.
