Pokémon Presents - Pokémon Day 2025 - Pokemon ZA Info & Pokemon Champions Announced

So what do you guys hope to see in tomorrow’s direct, assuming there is anything for Pokemon?
My initial thinking was that there wouldn’t be anything regarding LZ-A in the Direct but 30 minutes is quite a bit of time to show games for a console on its way out. It will also be a full month since the trailer and website went up, which is enough time for an update to the latter.

At the very least, I’m hoping for a new trailer that shows off at least one new Mega as well as some nighttime gameplay showing any changes that occur in the city.

They are obligated by law (both human and divine) to show us Mega Flygon

Didn't the guy leaking that say he specifically didn't want to leak the info from Legends ZA as well as Gen 10? What changed? Did someone new get access to it or did he change his mind if it's even real at all?
Presumably the fact that ZA is much closer to release now than it was at the time. Probably significantly less unpleasant feeling for the leaker to leak during reveal season than before we'd even seen so much as a frame of actual footage. Seeing as they aren't yet leaking anything from gen 10.

Though how valid leaks based on a year old build are is questionable, seeing as the teraleak itself (and the previous big leak) showed just how much Pokémon games can change over a year of development.

Unexpectedly, the Nintendo Direct did have ZA stuff.

I am intrigued by the "nighttime" version of the town. The presence of "26 ranks" feels like just padding honestly, but hey, will give some stuff to do.
A bit disappointed that outside of showing some pokemon previously not shown (es Mega Alakazam / Gallade / Salamence, or Zydog), there wasn't actually any new feature (as in, new pokemon / form) shown.

Of note is that Mega Alakazam transforming didn't trigger any feedback on the UI about Trace, so to me that's a pretty clear confirmation abilities also aren't in this game. At least, not in normal ways.

Posting for the trailer in case you missed it:

I'm not sure why they're being so cagey with the release date- we all know it's November let's get on with it divas..
Most likely they aren't even sure themselves of if they can meet the usual "Q4 2025" release, so they want to be safe rather than release the game in unplayable state.
At least, I hope that's the reason, and if it is, I'm fine with it. Not like I don't have a huge backlog to deal with already anyway.

Gallade was technically shown (in a poster) in the shorter 2025 Release trailer at 0:22 if you want to count that.
I think after some of the pokemon shown in in-game art but not present in the game in SwSh and SV, people don't quite trust the ingame drawings for the presence of the pokemon in the game

Also, one interesting thing is that at the end of the trailer, the player char is facing something with a pink aura.
While it could be Xerneas, I think it is something new, either a new legendary or a new form of a existing legendary, since they deliberately did not show what it is despite implying at its presence.
(If they just wanted to show the battle pose, they could have cut the cutscene before the pink aura shows up)

Ok good. Great news knowing Zygarde was confirmed in this trailer.

I was not expecting a new trailer for Z-A during the Direct, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Short thoughts:
- Mega Salamence and Gallade were shown. Two more OR/AS Megas confirmed, which is great.
- All base stages of the Elemental Monkeys appeared, which means they are in the game. Awesome!
- Random, but I saw that the Budew line is in the game, including Roserade. Maybe I should transfer my Roserade from Arceus to Z-A and use it here. I wanted to send it to Violet, but couldn't since it is dexited, so it has been staying in Arceus... but now it has a chance to break free.
- Hostile wild Pokémon... I really hope this is better executed than it was in Arceus, where it was more annoying than anything.
- I did not expect the game to put a big emphasis on the differences between day and night. It is a really cool idea.
- Nice to see that there are a lot of trainer battles. I hope the new battle system is good, because if it is, this could make this game super fun. From what was shown in the trailer, the battles looked fine. I did not expect them to add a feature where you are able to sneak up on Pokémon owned by trainers, that's brutal. I also love how you start on rank Z and work your way up to A, that was an unexpected way to include the name of the game.

Overall, nice to get some more info about the game.
