What better way to end the generation than with its embodiment, Eternamax? In Pure Hackmons, Eternamax is king, and this set is one of its main sets. Spectral Thief removes boosts from setup sweepers that aren't Normal type, while Knock Off removes items from opposing Eternamax. Whirlwind provides counterplay for Substitute users like Regieleki. Fissure and Horn Drill are used to OHKO most of the meta, but most importantly opposing Eternamax, as that is the best way to consistently OHKO one. Neutralizing Gas lets Eternamax suppress abilities such as Wonder Guard. A Careful nature with 240 SpD ensures Eternamax becomes practically invincible against all special attacks. Safety Goggles protects it from Spore without the downside of Flame Orb. A physically defensive Eternamax makes for a great partner, as it puts a halt to physical sweepers. Spinners also make great partners to help clear hazards for Eternamax. Entry hazards users of your own such as other Eternamax and Regieleki make Whirlwind more useful, wearing down opposing Eternamax and other switch-ins.

(Eternamax can be flexible with its sets and plenty other Pokemon can more or less run similar, the set is a very insignifcant part of why it's king) Spectral Thief removes from setup sweepers thant aren't Normal-type, while Knock Off removes items from opposing Eternamax. Whirlwind provides counterplay for Substitute users like Regieleki. Fissure and Horn Drill are used to OHKO most of the meta, but most importantly opposing Eternamax, as that is the only best way to consistently OHKO one. Neutralizing Gas lets Eternamax ignore suppress (this wording may help newer players distinguish Neutralizing Gas from Mold Breaker, as people are commonly confused about their differences) annoying abilities such as Wonder Guard. A Careful nature with 240 SpD ensures Eternamax only takes 1 damage from all special attacks (it's around 2 BP iirc but a little more than 1 damage) becomes invincible against all special BP attacks. Safety Googgles protects it from Spore without the downside of Flame Orb. A physically defensive Eternamax makes for a great partner, as it switches into strong physical attackers such as Zacian-C puts a halt to physical sweepers (blocking physical sweepers is more important for this trait + Zac-C is kinda hard to switch into regardless since it gets a free turn to land OHKO or inflict status). Rapid Spinners also make great partners to help clear hazards for Eternamax. Entry hazards users such as other Eternamax and Regieleki make Whirlwind more useful, wearing down opposing Eternamax and other switch-ins, especially if Eternmax is running Knock Off to remove Heavy-Duty Boots. (Eternamax should not be running Heavy-Duty-Boots)
