Oh boy I owe each of my teammates a pack of Oreos because I promised everyone that at the beginning of the tournament if we won I had to buy everyone a PACK…and Alice Kazumi has forced my hand..

Team we’ve done it..!!! I want to thank all of my teammates so much for being amazing. ElectricityCat thank you for giving me the privilege to manage this tournament with you and I did promise you a win…Look where we are at! This team tournament has been the most enjoyable and winning this right after winning RUWC has truly made me feel accomplished. Luckily this is not this it and if it wasn’t for my amazing teammates to make my initial goal come true I wouldn’t be in this position.

ElectricityCat ElectricityCat is an ORAS gem, a supporting factor you’d want in any team cord. ElectricityCat took the time to provide insights and scouts every week and was a very active manager during the tournament. ElectricityCat played a pivotal role in helping the team with tests and being the primary communication with host

Paniskter Thanks for setting up the initial server

erz Picking up an amazing 8-2 record is erz! Their dive and commitment towards ORAS OU is unmatched and im glad I got the privilege to see your thought process. Erz is our strongest OU player and going only for 16k as a player I already looked up to was a major steal. I look forward to seeing your performance in future tournaments and I hope we team again!

Pak Pak is like the genius of ORAS UU. Picking up an amazing 9-1 record and clutching us in desperate measures is the chef. Pak is a self pilot mastermind and he simply just cooked this tour.

Crossia ElectricityCat told me you were good and you really showed that you cared about this tier. Of course if it wasn’t for AM extensive support weekly, im so glad to meet you as a user. You are really wholesome and a positive record in 6-2. I look forward to you seeing you win future tournaments and I glad I was here run you to get the ring.

Real FV13 lowkey Man U been blowing my high Man U told me my team was ass after it lost and I damn near cried but all love..jk. I do like how you build and how your perticular about certain things and I think your a great battler overall

Adri gave great builds and got banned or something

Tarre25 tarre25 is a chill person tbh no drama just a great battler load a team and he plays Monotype. Went 3-4, it happens, first tour around better than winless and I appreciate you for just loading whatever I gave you. I hope we team again after teaming and winning this and playing w u for MPL and EPL

Éric the definition of an innovator and your aspiration for all lc tiers and LC UU as a Monotype OM leader has always made me look up to you as a contributor and as a player. Your builds are also innovative and you always try to solve the meta in LC which is really cute for level 5 pokemon.

Alice Kazumi PlayOffs Grand Prize ALICEEE KAZUMIII - Alice from Wonderland came in after being benched and I already knew this joker is like Abr in disguise and they won the tiebreak for us in LC. Alice Kazumi’s presence is always great and they are cool person to talk too.

Tenzai I don’t play DOU much and glad you got the games to test and although stuff was going on it was a pleasure teaming with u - just being knowledgeable in a slot was more important than anything and it all paid off because we are the champs

AM a power horse and a great support for any team. Please stop underestimating contributors!! Going for 3k with the amount of support AM was putting into every tier is a huge understatement. Am is also hilarious and was putting up with me being high the entire tour

HSBT bro HSBT went 0-3 had some unfortunate luck and filled in and played and fucking won for us to get into tiebreak went we were 4-5. HSBT was a positive force the entire tour, helped with scouts, was there for tests in every tier, fantastic user. Props to ElectricityCat for bringing you up and teaming with you has been a pleasure

MANNAT Mannat played a huge supporting role in ORAS OU and is a veteran at this tier. I wanted you from the start and glad I got to team with you!

Ithi aspiring ORAS goat in the making glad I was here to get you your ring and I hope your dreams come true with future tours!

SM Larvitar very committed player and your support was appreciated for this tournament! I’m glad you got experience in starting as wel

Zcarlett LC support for Eric and you dmd me and it all paid off. You really gave me chill vibes and thanks for what you do for LC and your commitment this tournament overall

pj ORAS Support for starting weeks, thanks for your time and helping out

quziel ORAS NU playoffs support for Alice Kazumi when I crashed out in the builder and wanted to use LO Sheer Force Steelix every week

vivalospride Wanka We’re Pak’s alts from the past and they helped prep in their own way

thank you to the hosts for picking me as a manager leading up to my first ORASPL tournament & trophy

What a tour guys, stomp regular season, then comeback 0-4 in semis, comeback 2-5 in finals, comeback 0-1 in tiebreak finals... This team was truly amazing from the first weeks, and what a way to suffer but win it at the end.
Id like to congratulate firstly the enormous work of our BIG 3:
erz ur games were crazy and I think they inspired several comebacks, I enjoyed a lot some of them with rlly good prep overall
Pak the silent killer, everyone knows how good is but bro has not failed at any critical moment, crucial player
The underdog, the amazing Crossia who assaulted and crushed the entire ubers pool(with AM help, the goat). I couldnt keep up with some of ur games due super fast clicks into win, i was watching turn 10 and game was already done LOL

Also special s/o to roxie (for whom we feared because of their disappearances like 2-3 times LOL). I was surprised at your level and how you won some really difficult games, liked a lot some teams you used except one which was weak against a top usage mon and you won against it anyway:wo:.
HSBT AM Alice Kazumi who were not regulars in the line-ups and reincarnated into soulwind, m dragon and McM to carry the final and clutch the fucking tie break, it was absolutely incredible, you 3 left me speechless with these last efforts. ElectricityCat you made a great team well balanced with one of the greatest atmosphere i have seen in this kind of teamtours, all your decisions were naturals and right,, well done and thx for helping me with the team in the final.
Mention to the rest and helpers, thanks you a lot (we were a lot in the channel lmao)
About me, very disappointing tournament with a lot of games lost by big throws, quite incomprehensibles, at least i caught up with the tier. Honestly I felt everytime totally carried by you guys, well done Champs!!

★★★

This year, I decided to change the name of the franchise (Waifu Washers). ORASPL I & II were championships we won, but ORASPL III destroyed me, and I wasn’t planning to participate as Manager this edition. I felt I had done a really poor job, and maybe winning the previous two editions had just been luck. I decided to change the name to feel like this attempt would be different (plus, Waifu Washers was a pretty bad name :totodiLUL:).

Anyway, if you read the shoutouts, you’ll understand a bit about where I got the motivation to participate again this year. I really enjoyed this tournament a lot, probably the one I’ve enjoyed the most in the last two years. So I’m thankful to everyone who encouraged me to step in as Manager this year.

Tenzai
Apologies to everyone else, but the two time champion goes first... For those who don’t know, Tenzai was the champion of ORASPL II with the best record in the tournament for DOU. When I saw that DOU was included in this edition, the first thing I did was ask Pan to reach out and see if you were going to join.

It was a bit of a complicated season, as we already discussed. That’s totally normal, the best players on the forum don’t always have the best results. Sometimes you hit a few losses, but you're great, Tenzai, and I have no regrets. You were a bit busy IRL, and I knew that already, but even so, I know you gave it your all in the playoffs and always supported the team. Those calls we had to analyze the games and chat for a bit were really nice, though we had to get rid of the voice channel. We should’ve deleted it sooner, I think we watched a few of your games in call... That must have been it.

Anyway, man, thanks for making the time and joining this tour, which you probably hadn’t planned on doing.

roxie
Like I said, I didn’t want to be a manager this year, and you were one of the small reasons I decided to do it. I don’t usually make many friends or contacts here, especially since it’s been a while since I last competed as a player in the circuits. My previous co-manager and I weren’t really enthusiastic about joining, and I didn’t have many other friends willing to take on this task. I was really lucky that you reached out to me.

You far exceeded my expectations, you really contributed a lot as a manager with some of the draft decisions. You also performed excellently as a player and helped the Monotype slot a ton. I curse you for being absent the last two days of the finals, but everything else was a pleasure. Thank you for considering me for this tournament. It was a very nice and fun experience.

Pak
First pick of the Candice Strikers in the auction, you are incredible. I had never had the chance to be your teammate in any tournament, so I didn’t know how you’d be in a team environment. You weren’t really in my plans, you signed up in the last day iirc. But well, you’re a legend, one of the best, if not the best, ORAS UU players and very dedicated to UU in general. I knew I couldn’t go wrong with you.

You were an essential pillar of trust for the team, along with Erz, every week. Whenever the guys and I would get together in a VC to talk about the tournament and pairings, we’d say things like, "Pak hasn’t played yet, he’s going to win" or, "We need X more wins to take the week, and Pak hasn’t played yet, so we’re looking good" things like that.

Thank you so much for your dedication, your work, and the confidence you always inspired. I believe someone like you, who is so reliable and experienced, is essential for any team aiming to become champions. You didn’t hesitate for a second when I said I wanted to send you to the tiebreak. A titan. Congratulations on having the best ORAS UU record across all editions of ORAS PL so far. Thank you so much for being part of the team and being there for us every single week.

Adri
BXBwCRx.png

Not much more to say, I'm a big fan of Adri as an ORAS OU player and I was REALLY happy when I saw you decided to sign up for your first ORAS PL. To be completely honest, for the past two years, I’ve wondered why you didn’t join the previous editions of ORAS PL or why you didn’t enter SPL to play ORAS. You are a VERY underrated player. It surprises me so much that people have been so blind not to see your potential.

It was really unfortunate that you got banned during the most important part of the tournament... I hope you can come back someday and that I get to see you play ORAS OU again, which is always a spectacle.

erz
The best ORAS OU player in the scene right now. When I was thinking about my possible OU slots for this year, your name obviously came to mind. You’re one of the most experienced players in the format currently. Your record in ORAS PL last year didn’t do you much justice, but since I faced you in SPL about 3 years ago, I understood the kind of player you are and your true potential. You’re a player with an incredibly deep understanding of the format, and you use that to your advantage to adapt in the best way possible. Your very solid teambuilding, in combination with that adaptability and your vast experience as a player, makes for the perfect combination.

Like Pak, you were always a pillar that gave us confidence. It was amazing how you changed the mood and atmosphere during the semifinals. I remember we gathered a few times to talk about the situation, and things were looking really bad. But after your game, when you made the score 1-4, for some reason, many of your teammates told me they felt the atmosphere shift significantly at that moment. These are their words; as the manager, I didn’t perceive it as literally, but they told me that after your win, they truly felt they could turn things around.

Thank you so much, Erz, for being part of the team, an excellent player and person.

Éric
Éric, honestly, when I saw the pool, I knew you were one of the best. If you look at the document, you're in the top 3. Only Tazz and Heysup ahead of you, but they went for 20k+, while you went for 5500. In terms of quality and price, you're one of the best, if not the best, in LC this year. I think you went for a low price because some teams had already made retains or bought other players.

Anyway, what can I say? It's a bit like what I told you on Discord before the tiebreak. It's clear when someone is good at LC, it's quite a peculiar tier. You definitely are. Maybe you have a somewhat unconventional way of preparing, but it works for you. ORAS LC is full of crucial speed ties, and without a doubt, I can say that if you'd been luckier, you would've won two times matches that you already won. You're really good at team building and making in-game decisions. You've earned my respect and admiration since ADV PL. Keep moving forward, a stumble is not a fall, well, "stumble," because as I said, you have one of the best win-to-price ratios. Even if you feel like you could've done a bit more, I think you more than fulfilled your role on the team, great job bro. I would draft you again without hesitation.

Tarre25
Tarre, out of all the people in the pool, you were the last person I thought would end up on my team. Roxie made a last-minute decision to moving himself from Monotype to NU, and I left the decision for the Monotype slot entirely in his hands. He picked you, and there must be a reason for it. You're a good guy, no issues at all, always let us know if something was up, and solid at clicking the effective moves. No complaints here. Thanks for the good vibes and for hopping into VC to chat with the guys. At first, I had some fear and doubts about how well you'd perform, but as the weeks went by, you earned my trust. Awesome photo at the Bombonera, man.

Real FV13
Felix, I can't believe this is your first tournament win with a custom prize, it's unreal, man. We've crossed paths on Showdown for about 10 years, from Pandora to Team Sky, and in some random tournament here and there. You’ve always been pretty good at the game, but I truly realized your potential when I drafted you for the DPP PL about six months ago (an unfortunate tournament btw). You’re a freaking machine you get sent to any tier, you learn it, you build for it, and you play it like a beast.

You complain a lot, saying you didn’t perform as you wanted or that you trolled, blah blah blah. Dude, calm down a bit, you had the second-best record in ORAS RU this season. In a tier that, well, you kind of know because you might have touched it like 9 years ago, but it’s not even your main or anything. SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE with a win in the finals that was key for the comeback. Tremendous guts and drive, man. It was a real honor to win this tournament with you.

From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for sending you to RU. RU is probably the tier in ORAS where people are the least willing to innovate it's insane. It's all old teams from Garay, feliburn, etc. No one builds anything new, and the tier is super centralized around Flygon, Venusaur, Registeel. In my personal opinion, it’s the worst tier of the gen. And honestly, I didn’t see too many good players around this tour I could count them on one hand, and I’d still have fingers left. That’s why they had Raichy playing, you see... So I’m really sorry, but you were the perfect player to enter that tier and I wanted to win the tour. Like I said, I think the tier is awful and full of tanky stuff, but I knew you’d be able to figure it out, and you did. I admire you so much for your performance in every tournament you’re truly an amazing, very well-rounded player, not afraid of any format, and incredibly adaptable. I know very well that if I’d put you in Ubers, you would’ve dominated; in NU, you would’ve dominated; in LC, same story you’re good at everything. Keep your head up because you were essential to our victory. No crying over a play that didn’t go your way don’t troll yourself.

SM Larvitar

Alice Kazumi
Alicia... several shoutouts have passed since I mentioned this, so I’m not sure if you’ve read the others or the intro. But I mentioned that there were certain things that motivated me to apply as a manager this year, and you were definitely part of that. Ever since you returned to mons, with that energy, reminding me of the old days, joining El Ciber and filling us all with stickers and good vibes... I don’t know about the others, but you definitely rubbed off on me.

FKYHStC.png

You were the spark that lit the fire for me to go and propose to Roxie that we be ORAS PL managers. We talked about ORAS PL in El Ciber, and you wanted to sign up to play with us, and you wanted one of us there to make sure you got drafted. I think you would’ve been drafted anyway, but I felt the need and the desire to join you in this gen tour, which happens to be my favorite. I felt it was a great opportunity to have fun and win a tournament together something that doesn’t happen every day. I tried in DPP PL, but that didn’t go well, and it left me with a thorn in my side... So I thought, well, there’s no better chance to win a tournament with my friend Alicia than this one. After all, you’ve always been the legend of ORAS LC and this is by far my best gen.

In terms of gameplay and all that, you’re incredibly good, Alicia. I think people are slowly realizing how obvious that is. I would never get tired of betting on you. So much confidence, skill, desire to have fun, experience, stickers what more could you ask for? I’ve told you this a couple of times already, but I’ll say it again you’re the best and always have been. Whatever tier you touch, you dominate and “papeas.” Similar to what I said to FV13, I feel like you could handle any tier. I could’ve put you in Ubers, LC, NU, RU, UU any of them as long as you find them fun and you would’ve been the GOAT. I feel like whatever you try, you succeed in, even that Malphite with Guinsoo's. So keep going that way and never surrender.

You’re a model for everyone, a source of inspiration for so many players, the nicest person I’ve ever seen in chats. Sometimes I regret not putting you as a starter from week 1 and keeping you in, but I thought it was best to have you fresh on the bench, ready for the important moments, since we had some pretty capable people.

Winning this tournament has been a huge joy for me this year, but winning it in a tiebreak final in ORAS LC with ALICE KAZUMI, the legend herself, gave the tournament ten times more value than it already had for me. Thank you so much for being here, Alice, and for everything :meowpensivepray:

AM
I needed a Support and a second option in case Crossia didn’t do well in his first ORAS Ubers tour. For 3k, the best I could get was you. 3k for an amazing guy, active in every damn channel, with great vibes, the best Ubers support there could be, and who even stepped in to play in the Final and gave a masterclass on how to play Monotype.

Honestly, I didn’t expect you to be this good, but your signup was pretty clear you offered support, and if there was no other option, you’d step in to play. Many times, I felt guilty for drafting you to work with Crossia... I felt like it was too demanding; I didn’t expect him to send 4000 messages in his channel. You’re one of a kind, AM so much patience, so much knowledge, experience, and just a great guy. I’d draft you for every tournament I can, honestly.

The work of a support often goes unnoticed, but that wasn’t the case for you. Every one of Crossia’s wins, I feel like they were also yours. Thank you so much for helping out so much, being so active, and, of course, for your hugely important win in the final. It’s truly a pleasure to share a team with you.

Crossia
And this random peronist guy? I wanted to draft you so you could learn a bit, experience Ubers tournaments. Unfortunately or fortunately :ramorez: I had no choice but to put you in as a starter and pray. Honestly, you did great, man. Not everyone in your position would put in so much effort, try to win like that, and put so much into testing and choosing teams.

On that side of things, man, you’ve already got it all figured out. That part is essential, and it’s going to take you far if you stick with the right people and keep improving. I’m really happy with how things went for you. I had this kind of mystical feeling that you might do well, but it wasn’t really based on anything. In the end, you did way better than expected, and you absolutely crushed it. Top 3 player on the team that’s not bad at all. Top 3 player on a champion team is huge.

Stay humble, man. Still, review the mistakes you made, try to see how you can improve, and imagine a world where AM doesn’t exist...You’re really appreciated, man. You and Baltito were the ones who brought the most good energy to me from the moment I signed up for ORAS PL. Always supporting, bringing positivity, being interested, wanting to learn, and wanting the team to do well. Even though you’re almost as old as me, it makes me really happy that this was your first experience in a team tour and you did so well. I hope you keep going so Argentina can have a solid Ubers player, and if it’s something you enjoy, I hope this tour has opened doors for you to take on challenges just as big or even bigger. We’ll sort out the asadito later.

Ithi
ITHI, the one and only champion Ithi! You're pretty well appreciated within the ORAS community. We all know you know the tier well; maybe what you were missing was a bit more tournament experience, going further, and practicing more. That’s the only reason I can think of for why you hadn’t been drafted in previous ORASPLs. I’ve always known you were very capable, both in helping and playing, but no one had you in their draft plans. I think it was last year when I noticed you didn’t get drafted, and it surprised me a bit. I also felt your frustration. We had a few credits left over here, and we needed a solid support for OU, so we didn’t hesitate.

Thanks for always bringing good vibes you’re a great guy. Just try to step out of that comfort zone of playing old things that used to work. Trust your instincts more, look for other cores, build, experiment. You’ve got a lot of potential, Ithi, and I’m expecting big things from you next year. Can't wait to see your next year circuit playoffs games, because of course, you will be there.

MANNAT
LittleLucario... A very experienced player in the format, a great Nuzlocke streamer, good player, good builder, good support, and a great attitude throughout the whole tournament. There were a few weeks where I felt you were a bit off, but they were very few. Always confident, secure, and playing well your record doesn’t do you justice. You got robbed of a super key game and I also rotated you many times just to let others play. But I know you would have been more than ready to be a full-time starter, and you proved it in the Playoffs with an excellent performance (you got robbed but you did well). Thanks for being there for the team, being a good player, and a great teammate.

HSBT
Baltinho how's the peronista guy doing? Can you imagine what would have happened in the final if your name hadn't come up in the auction roulette? Maybe that final game would have had to be decided by ziloXX :skull:
You're the hope of APA, Balto, such a great guy, a great player, always eager to give your all and improve. Every week, you were ready to play, always available, always offering to jump in and fight. Insane, man. Like I said in Crossia's shoutout, you and him were the ones who supported me the most and motivated me the most when I applied to be a manager. I met both of you because Pan just randomly invited me to play the worst tournament I've ever played in my life.
You're amazing, the effort and determination you put in are incredible. I think you learned more than anyone during the tournament. The Balto now and the one from three months ago are not the same to me. I felt a lot of growth from you, and I hope you feel that too. You're doing great in ORAS, but I hope you know how to apply everything you've learned here to other generations because APA needs you, Baltoooo. If you apply what you learned here to other gens, start building, prepping, and all that, nothing will stop you.
Thanks for always being there, thanks for always being ready to jump into battle. From your position, having a rough start, being on the bench... most people would get discouraged and stop talking, mute the server. But you lived through it, Balto, you never gave up, always saying, "I'm here, and I'm ready to jump in." What a champ. Thanks for putting in so much effort and practicing so much for that final you had to save. Thanks for all the scouts, the tests and all the good vibes you brought to the team. Thanks for that amazing drawing of Loreo, thanks for adding the Psyduck emotes in the server. Gracias por todo pá.

Zcarlett
Zcarlett, excellent LC player. I don’t follow the community that closely, but this year I got pretty involved in ADV LC. That’s where I met you and saw what you’re capable of. Maybe you’re not known as the best ORAS player, but I think LC in general is something you’re really good at, and you could’ve been an amazing alternative if Éric, for some reason, couldn’t play or something happened. Great skill and adaptability.
I would’ve loved to see you shine in the lineup, I think you could’ve done really well. Thanks for always looking out for Éric, even though he prepared in such a strange way that hardly let you participate at all... (he seems to be always like this, isn't any personal) but you were always there, and that’s highly appreciated. You were always supporting the team and spreading good energy. I appreciate that a lot and I truly hope that someday we can share another team where you’ll get the chance to shine. Excellent teammate.

Thank you all, I would give each of you a dedicated shoutout, but honestly, I’m exhausted, and to be fair, the words I’d say to each of you wouldn’t be that different. Everyone contributed their bit to the team, and the victory wouldn’t have been possible without you. Just by joining our Discord and being there, it means a lot. Thanks, guys, for being part of Candice Strikers.

thanks to the hosts and teams for this fun and challenging opportunity

years have passed, i haven't taken oras as seriously as i did the last 3 months since our wolfpack spl nearly 4 years ago. what a damn long time.
it didn't need to be this tournament specifically, it was just the first one available after the decision that i'd throw down the gauntlet one more time. hardly anything feels better than to do stuff you couldn't do before and prove to yourself whatever you worked on paid off.

trying to catch up to all the developments of ou in recent years, getting to know all the new commonly played sets and teams, actual builders (that people steal from) and players that dominate the present was (and is) a challenge. the tier and community really evolved. greetings to my opponents, especially lusa who got the better of me the third time we played and everyone i got to know and talk with in the last months, have a good one and see you again in winter.

strikers, the coincidence makes it all the better that i'm happy that it ended up being you guys i could win for. the team was so welcoming and funny but also active and ready to make an effort to win as well. thank you for drafting and placing your trust in me ElectricityCat, Pak for goating it the fuck up, Crossia AM for going completely beyond normal investment and to the whole team clutching and supporting when needed. again, grateful i ended up with you guys, i'll remember this as one of the most fun teams i've had playing pokemon.

My only regret was not winning the one game I got to play this tour

Anyways, I want to thank everyone on my team. You guys took me under your wing for another 3 months long of studying oras again w/ a new perspective of how I should tackle tour prep and general play. It was a super fun and competitive environment to be in from start to end and I was learning just about every week. Shoutouts to HSBT for clutching up the tiebreakers, you absolutely killed it and finally redeemed yourself.

Thank you for buying me! It was a fun tournament, everyone was really active and the chat was fun. We have our first person with 3 oraspl already! :blobtriumph:

I was a bit nervous in the tiebreaker because I've barely played the tier since 2016-2017 and recent tournaments plus my dislike for current gen made me quit LC altogether. Funnily enough I was more calm in the game than before it and it ended up showing. Everyone deserved it so I'm glad I could win that last match!
