Is there any feasible way to run Will-O-Wisp on Mega Gallade? Or Spikes on Diggersby? I really want to run these sets but they don't work all that well in practice
No to wisp mega gallade, but Spikes Diggersby is /ok/ but not the worst thing ever.Is there any feasible way to run Will-O-Wisp on Mega Gallade? Or Spikes on Diggersby? I really want to run these sets but they don't work all that well in practice
Will-O-Wisp on Mega Gallade isn't really worth running, as it really needs Knock Off/Ice Punch, Zen Headbutt, CC and SD/Sub to do its job properly. As for Spikes Diggersby though (sorry, couldn't resist), I recall Jukain posting a set that he used a while in the Creative Sets Thread:Is there any feasible way to run Will-O-Wisp on Mega Gallade? Yeah I was thinking it would be sashed. I also thought U-Turn would be a good option to keep momentum instead of Return. It would pair well with Starmie with Rapid Spin support.Will-O-Wisp on Mega Gallade isn't really worth running, as it really needs Knock Off/Ice Punch, Zen Headbutt, CC and SD/Sub to do its job properly. Diggersby @ Focus Sash
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Spikes
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack
"Spikes Diggersby is generally seen as a pretty nooby sort of thing, but it's actually surprisingly effective. Forcing numerous switches, Diggersby gets numerous opportunities to set up Spikes, and has the flexibility of the sash to get an extra layer at any point, and survive, or get a guaranteed hit if needed."
It's technically possible, but it'll be very difficult due to those of course generally being some of the best Pokémon in the game. I've seen teams without a Mega and teams without a Legendary, but it's not easy to pull off both. If you're just starting out I would recommend using a legendary or mega, and then when you're more skilled try this out.Is it possible to have a viable OU team without using Megas or Legendaries? Just asking because I'm interested in learning competitive battling and would like an interesting challengeand because I love going against the current.

I'm not actually suggesting you use it, but Mawile does have access to BP, Taunt and Swords Dance and Iron Defense. That being said, Mew can run an almost identical same set with better overall bulk and a much better speed tier. In BW Mawile was NU with no sets that were even RU viable, and I don't really see that changing. What would be the ''best'' set for regular mawile? I know it is unviable in OU, but what set could at least put in a tiny bit of work in the tier?
Wasn't sure if you saw the original edit, but here are the usage stats for December: http://www.smogon.com/stats/2014-12/I'm getting on a bit of a don't use this use that thread high tonight. Where do you find the usage stats for moves, abilities, EVs/IVs and items on specific pokemon? (the one on showdown is outdated; only going to october)
I know that, i am not looking to use it competitively, its just meant for fun games w/ friends where use OU rules but often use pokemon we like.I'm not actually suggesting you use it, but Mawile does have access to BP, Taunt and Swords Dance and Iron Defense. Where do you find the usage stats for the moves used on each pokemon and such? This only lists the Pokémon themselves as far as I can see.Wasn't sure if you saw the original edit, but here are the usage stats for December: http://www.smogon.com/stats/2014-12/
I'm pretty sure this is the most recent version of what you're looking for http://www.smogon.com/stats/2014-12/moveset/ou-1825.txtWhere do you find the usage stats for the moves used on each pokemon and such? This only lists the Pokémon themselves as far as I can see.
So long as you have been warned. This is an old BW Baton Pass set. It's a fairly straightforward set:I know that, i am not looking to use it competitively, its just meant for fun games w/ friends where use OU rules but often use pokemon we like.
Check this out yo: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/oras-ou-playstyles-hyper-offense-check-post-1.3527171/I'm just curious to know the teambuilding strategies of people who build HO teams. Like what do you take into account when building? What Pokemon do you guys use for the various roles? A sample team (maybe not even a team but Pokemon that could be used for a role) would be nice. Just wanting to know how to make a successful team that isn't somebody else's :]
Thanks that helps hehe
I personally wouldn't make a sunny day team, since its main members, Fire-types and Grass-types, are either super weak to SR or super weak to FlySpam, or even both. It's just harder to come up with a team that can fight in the current metagame than it is for Rain or Sand. What are some decent OU users of Sunny Day?
I want to build an OU sun team around Charizard-Y, but don't really like Ninetales.
To add to the above list, Clefable can learn Sunny Day and has access to both recovery and SR. Diancie can also learn Sunny Day and SR, but it lacks recovery. What are some decent OU users of Sunny Day?

Go to the first set of lists in the link provided, then go to "movesets" and then select the tier of choice from there.Where do you find the usage stats for the moves used on each pokemon and such? This only lists the Pokémon themselves as far as I can see.
Choice Scarf Victini is a pretty good answer. Outspeeds, hits like a truck, and resists everything but the rare Earthquake. Is there a Pokémon of offence that can successfully counter both Metagross sets without being a Mega? I tried out Talonflame but it can get outsped and OHKO'd by Agiligross Zen Headbutt...
Do you need it for Hyper Offense? If so your options for countering it are limited. There's Victini, which can switch in on anything, but can't handle any set with EQ, and is outsped at +2. Mega Scizor can switch in, but if you're using the most common (3 Attacks + SD) set, you can't recover, and you can't do impressive damage to it immediately. Mega Gyarados is nice, since in its normal form it can intimidate meta, soak up a zen headbutt, and boost until it can KO meta (after mega evolving into mega dos) with crunch. Scarf Landorus-T and Manectric both outspeed, KO, and intimidate, but they can be worn down easily, and the former falls to the rare ice punch + agility combo. Is there a Pokémon of offence that can successfully counter both Metagross sets without being a Mega?
