Clauses
- Ability Clause = 2: A player may not have three Pokemon with the same Ability on a team.
- Endless Battle Clause: A player may not intentionally prevent an opponent from being able to end the game without forfeiting.
- For example, a Slowbro holding a Leppa Berry can create an endless battle using the moves Recycle, Heal Pulse, Slack Off, and Block. To do so, Slowbro traps one of the opponent's Pokemon, PP stalls it, and heals Struggle damage indefinitely using Heal Pulse and Slack Off.
- Evasion Clause: A Pokemon may not have either Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.
- OHKO Clause: A Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its moveset.
- Species Clause: A player may not have two Pokemon with the same National Pokédex number on a team.
- For example, using a team with two Koffing would break this clause.
- Using different formes on the same team, such as Rotom-W and Rotom-C, also breaks the clause since they share the same Pokédex number (#479).
- Sleep Moves Clause: A player may not use a move that induces sleep as a primary effect, such as Hypnosis.
- Terastal Clause: A player may not Terastallize.

Answer: "Native Users" don't exactly exist in AAA.
Question: Do Mega Evolutions retain ability changes?
Answer: No, once a Pokemon mega evolves it will use its standard ability, e.g. Mega Swampert will always change its ability to Swift Swim.

Celesteela has a nice defensive profile with the same typing as Corviknight which means theoretically it can do similar nice defensive shenanigans. However the issue is I find it finding it outclassed by Corv with actual reliable recovery and U-turn most of the time. Is probably still nice with Leech Seed but I don't really see it personally.
Have decent defensive and offensive profiles with respectable Fighting and Fire resistances and a decent SpA stat, however I'm not exactly what sets for it exactly exist in the current meta so I'll just mention it here. Probably decent though (maybe MGLO or smth).
It's Shell Smashing time. Probably has a niche with the broken move but again I need to see it to believe it, and it might struggle into some of the RegenVest mons.
Trick room bots except maybe Stakataka? Earth Eater sets are maybe real but really it's mostly going brr in TR with Steelworker or Adapt. Glastrier is similar, with Technician Loaded Dice Icicle Spear being quite nice and putting out huge amounts of damage but only really fits on TR for obvious reasons which makes it very niche.
While a very popular pick in CG AAA (for now) Scream Tail suffers a lot more and I've rarely seen it in my games with others players, most likely because its passivity is just EXTREMELY exploitable in this offence loaded meta and while Unaware would seem to nullify that, it doesn't matchup well into the meta anymore, particularly with Gholdengo being a very popular pick. That being said Unaware is an amazing ability rn imo I just haven't found great abusers... yet.
Saw some wacky Dauntless Shield -> CM bulky setup sets that fished decently well but I'm not entirely sure are actually worth using... although I am ranking some wack already.... well whatever, we'll see if it works out in the kickoff tour.

to B or B+ with Zarude and Dhelmise I'd say. Good priority and always a threatening mon (it's not that bad into Intim Corv, forcing Brave Bird and basically trading ; can threaten most other birds with Stone Edge).
is a very strong mon. Either Band Tinted or Triage SD. Regen could also have a nice niche (although hard to fit). B or B+.
