VGC MONKE (Choice Band Rillaboom) [QC - 2/2] [GP - 1/1]

:Rillaboom:
[SET]

Offensive (Rillaboom) @ Miracle Seed / Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass / Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Grassy Glide
- High Horsepower / Fake Out
- U-turn / Protect

Rillaboom's offensive prowess and strong STAB moves, boosted further by Grassy Terrain, make it one of strongest physical attackers in the metagame. Grassy Terrain also plays an important role of overriding other Terrains such as Electric Terrain from Miraidon and Psychic Terrain from Indeedee-F. Grassy Glide is used, since it allows Rillaboom to threaten Pokemon that are faster than it like Urshifu-R. High Horsepower is used to threaten super effective damage on Pokemon like Raging Bolt, Miraidon, and Incineroar. U-turn allows Rillaboom to switch in and out of the battle, helping it reset Grassy Terrain consistently. Protect can be utilized on Miracle Seed variants to block Fake Out as well as stall Trick Room. Choice Band allows Rillaboom to OHKO foes it normally doesn't, while Miracle Seed allows Rillaboom to use Fake Out and means that Rillaboom isn't locked into a single move. The EV spread allows Rillaboom to OHKO Urshifu-R with Miracle Seed Grassy Glide and almost always OHKO Calyrex-I with Choice Band Tera Grass Wood Hammer. In conjunction with Choice Band, Rillaboom can OHKO Miraidon with High Horsepower. The defensive investment allows Rillaboom to survive a Flare Blitz from Incineroar. Tera Grass is used to amplify Rillaboom's damage, while Tera Fire is used defensively to resist Fire- and Ice-type moves like Flare Blitz from Incineroar and Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao. Tera Fire can also be used to gain immunity to Will-O-Wisp.

Rillaboom is a great partner to Zamazenta-C, which appreciates its offensive capability to threaten Pokemon like Urshifu-R, Calyrex-S, and Kyogre. Wide Guard support from Zamazenta-C can protect Rillaboom from spread moves like Glacial Lance and Astral Barrage, allowing it to stay on the field longer. Rillaboom pairs well with Chien-Pao, which provides another multiplier to Rillaboom's nuclear damage through Sword of Ruin; in return, Rillaboom helps Chien-Pao by OHKOing Urshifu-R. Urshifu-R and Incineroar are great teammates as well, as the trio forms the Fire / Water / Grass core. Rillaboom has a bad matchup against Incineroar and Tornadus, which resist its moves and threaten it with Flare Blitz and Bleakwind Storm, respectively. Furthermore, Incineroar is a counter to Rillaboom thanks to Intimidate and its ability to threaten Fake Out on Choice Band variants. Chien-Pao is another check, which can survive one attack thanks to Focus Sash and OHKO Rillaboom with Ice Spinner or Icicle Crash.

Offensive Rillaboom @ Choice Band / Miracle Seed Miracle Seed / Choice Band (16/84 at la vs 7/84 at la)
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 50

EVs: 252 HP / 244 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Grassy Glide
- High Horsepower / Fake Out
- U-turn / Protect

Rillaboom's offensive prowess and strong Grass STAB moves, boosted further by Grassy Terrain make it one of strongest physical attacker in the metagame. Grassy Terrain also plays an important role of overriding other terrains, such as Electric Terrain from Miraidon and Psychic Terrain from Indeedee-F respectively. (Mention some other good mu's here too) Boosted Wood Hammer does huge damage, and can threaten OHKO on most neutral targets with Choice Band. (obvious move) Grassy Glide allows Rillaboom to outspeed, thanks to priority and KO Pokemon at low HP. (this whole part just sounds weird, change it to something like "Grassy Glide is used since it allows Rillaboom to pick up Pokemon at low HP") U-turn is a pivot move, (dex info, change up the sentence a bit) allowing Rillaboom to switch in and out of the battle, helping it reset Grassy Terrain consistently. High Horsepower is used to threaten Super-effective damage on common meta Pokemon like Raging Bolt, Miraidon and Incineroar. Fake Out is used on the Miracle Seed variant, allowing Rillaboom to provide support. Protect can be utilized on Miracle Seed variants to block Fake Out, as well as stall Trick Room. (Change up the structure; it should be something like glide, then HHP/Fake out, then uturn/protect)Choice Band and Miracle Seed boost Rillaboom's damage output to astronomical levels, allowing it to pick OHKOs it commonly doesn't. (what are the differences? I also wouldn't call miracle seed boost astronomical) The EV spread allows Rillaboom to almost OHKO Calyrex-I with Choice Band Tera Grass Wood Hammer (we talked about this earlier, 75% just isn't consistent enough imo)and OHKO Urshifu-R with Grassy Glide. In conjunction with Choice Band, Rillaboom can OHKO Miraidon with High Horsepower. The defensive investment allows Rillaboom to survive a Flare Blitz from Incineroar. (Talk about tera grass and tera fire)

Rillaboom is strong with most of the Restricted Pokemon, (remove this imo it's mainly just with zam-c)
notably Zamazenta-C, which appreciates its offensive capability to threaten Pokemon like Urshifu-R, Calyrex-S and Kyogre, which can be annoying for Zamazenta-C. (mention how wide guard helps RIllaboom, also with the wide guard variant, main banded rilla partner, zama can be pretty annoying to caly-s and ogre) Rillaboom partners up well with Chien-Pao, who has the ability Sword of Ruin, providing another multiplier to Rillaboom's nuclear damage. (how does rilla help pao? hint; urshifu) Urshifu-R and Incineroar are great partners as well, as the trio forms the Fire/Water Grass core. (what does this mean? Just say they have switch synergy and mention what mus incin and urshifu-R can help rilla with and vice versa. Also band/miracle seed rilla didn't have much usage with incin or shifu)Rillaboom has a negative matchup against Incineroar and Tornadus, who can resist its moves and threaten it with Super-effective damage. (Intimidate is pretty big) Chien-Pao is another counter check, which can live one attack, thanks to Focus Sash and OHKO it with Ice Spinner.

Rillaboom's offensive prowess and strong STAB moves, boosted further by Grassy Terrain, make it one of strongest physical attackers in the metagame. Grassy Terrain also plays an important role of overriding other terrains Terrains such as Electric Terrain from Miraidon and Psychic Terrain from Indeedee-F, respectively. Rillaboom has a great matchup against Water-type Pokemon like Urshifu-R and Kyogre. (this point kinda feels like it comes out of nowhere - it might be good to connect the fact it has a good water mu with the point about grassy glide to make it less vague) Grassy Glide is used, since it allows Rillaboom to threaten Pokemon that are faster than it. (any examples here? if the above waters are faster then that could work, but rn this is just dex info because 'hits faster things' is just what a priorty move is) Fake Out is used on the Miracle Seed variant, allowing Rillaboom to provide support. (this is also vague - you kinda make this point later on in the paragraph too, so if there aren't any examples / more elaboration, you can cut this one because it's already there with miracle seed) High Horsepower is used to threaten super effective damage on Pokemon like Raging Bolt, Miraidon, and Incineroar. U-turn allows Rillaboom to switch in and out of the battle, helping it reset Grassy Terrain consistently. Protect can be utilized on Miracle Seed variants to block Fake Out as well as stall Trick Room. Choice Band allows Rillaboom to pick OHKOs OHKO foes it normally doesn't. Miracle Seed allows Rillaboom to use Fake Out and prevents locking Rillaboom in a single move means that Rillaboom isn't locked into a single move. The EV spread allows Rillaboom to almost always OHKO Calyrex-I with Choice Band Tera Grass Wood Hammer and OHKO Urshifu-R with Grassy Glide. In conjunction with Choice Band, Rillaboom can OHKO Miraidon with High Horsepower. (this part is a bit jumbled up - the first calc is for band, and then the second one it doesn't specify. then it starts a new sentence with another band calc. it would be good to group the band and non-band calcs together. also, you should start it with the guaranteed calcs first and then move onto rolls because a roll doesn't rly explain what the evs are for) The defensive investment allows Rillaboom to survive a Flare Blitz from Incineroar. Tera Grass is used to amplify Rillaboom's damage, while Tera Fire is used defensively to resist Fire- and Ice-type moves like Flare Blitz and Ice Spinner. (which pokemon use these moves? rn this is just dex info 'fire resists fire and ice', so you want to relate that basic into back to the vgc metagame by giving relevant examples of what tera fire actually lets it beat in this specific tier) Tera Fire can also be used to gain immunity to Will-O-Wisp.

Rillaboom is a great partner to Zamazenta-C, which appreciates its offensive capability to threaten Pokemon like Urshifu-R, Calyrex-S, and Kyogre, which can be annoying for Zamazenta-C. Wide Guard support from Zamazenta-C can protect Rillaboom from multi-target moves (you can use ‘spread moves’ here, it’s fine) like Glacial Lance and Astral Barrage, allowing it to stay on the field longer on the field. Rillaboom collaborates pairs well with Chien-Pao, which provides another multiplier to Rillaboom's nuclear damage through Sword of Ruin. Rillaboom helps Chien-Pao by OHKOing Urshifu-R, which threatens Chien-Pao. Urshifu-R and Incineroar are great teammates as well, as the trio forms the Fire / Water / Grass core. Rillaboom has a bad matchup against Incineroar and Tornadus, which can resist its moves and threaten it with Flare Blitz and Bleakwind Storm, respectively. Furthermore, Incineroar is a counter to Rillaboom thanks to Intimidate while also threatening and its ability to threaten Fake Out on Choice Band variants. Chien-Pao is another check, which can survive one attack (RC) thanks to Focus Sash and OHKO Rillaboom with Ice Spinner or Icicle Crash.
