Mega Pinsir is a great late-game sweeper and one of Bug's best answers to Fighting-types thanks to its typing and Aerilate ability. Swords Dance boosts its power even further, overpowering foes such as Toxapex and Celesteela. Return is its main Flying-type STAB move, hitting Grass-, Bug-, and Fighting-types such as Mega Venusaur, Volcarona, and Kommo-o,. Using Frustration with 0 happiness is also an option, as it prevents Ditto from doing too much damage after copying Mega Pinsir. Quick Attack allows Mega Pinsir to revenge kill fast threats such as Iron Valiant, Ogerpon-H, and +1 Kommo-o. Close Combat nails Steel- and Rock-types such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Tyranitar, but Earthquake is also viable to hit Gholdengo and Aegislash, as well as Fire-types such as Torkoal and Volcanion. Mega Pinsir's secondary Flying typing makes it 4x weak to Stealth Rock, so it appreciates entry hazard removal from Rapid Spin users such as Forretress and Armaldo. Forretress also provides great defensive utility, taking physical Flying- and Rock-type moves with ease while having Volt Switch to pivot Mega Pinsir onto the field safely. Mega Pinsir appreciates entry hazards on the opposing side as well, such as Stealth Rock from Kleavor, Spikes and Toxic Spikes from Forretress, and Sticky Web from Araquanid and Galvantula. Furthermore, Kleavor can deal with Flying- and Fire-types such as Zapdos and Moltres, and Araquanid can deal with Fire-types as well as take on strong special attacks from the likes of Tapu Lele and Gholdengo, dealing damage back with Mirror Coat. Araquanid's access to Magic Coat allows it to deflect status and hazards as well. Scizor can check Ice- and Rock-types such as Baxcalibur and Ogerpon-C with its STAB Bullet Punch, as well as pivot with U-turn and remove Stealth Rock with Defog. Choice Scarf Buzzwole is a great partner and revenge killer, being able to wipe out the remaining foes if Mega Pinsir is knocked out. Volcarona appreciates Mega Pinsir's ability to deal with Kommo-o and Mega Venusaur, and in return, it acts as a special sweeper that can deal with physical walls such as Skarmory. Lokix is a great revenge killer thanks to its strong First Impression putting foes into range of Mega Pinsir's Quick Attack. Its access to Throat Chop and Knock Off also deals with Ghost-types, and the former prevents Skeledirge from using Torch Song, which would otherwise be a pain to deal with, while the latter removes items. Equipping Lokix with a Z-Crystal, such as Buginium Z or Darkinium Z, can deal massive damage to foes that would otherwise be difficult to break through.

- Swords Dance
- Frustration Return generally for sample sets, you want the conventional option
- Quick Attack
- Close Combat / Earthquake

Mega Pinsir is a great late-game sweeper and one of Bug-types's best answers to Fighting-types, thanks to its typing and ability in Aerilate. Swords Dance boosts its power even further, overpowering foes such as Toxapex and Celesteela. Frustration Return is its main Flying-STAB, hitting Grass-, Bug- and Fighting-types such as Mega Venusaur, Volcarona and Kommo-o. Using Return with max happiness is also an option, but Frustration prevents Ditto from doing too much damage after copying Mega Pinsir to use Frustration. instead replace this with why using frust is an option for ditto Quick Attack is a strong priority move that allows Mega Pinsir to revenge kill fast threats such as Iron Valiant, and Mega Gallade Ogerpon-Hearthflame and +1 Kommo-o. Close Combat nails Steel- and Rock-types such as Heatran, Ferrothorn and Tyranitar, but Earthquake is also viable to hit Gholdengo, Aegislash and Fire-types such as Torkoal and Volcanion. Mega Pinsir's additional Flying-type makes it 4x weak to Stealth Rock, so it appreciates hazard removal from Forretress and Armaldo through Rapid Spin. Forretress also provides great defensive utility, taking physical Flying- and Rock-moves with ease while having Volt Switch to pivot Mega Pinsir in safely. Mega Pinsir appreciates entry hazards on the opposing side, such as Stealth Rock from Kleavor and Sticky Web from Araquanid and Galvantula.mention spikes/tspikes from forre Furthermore, Kleavor can deal with Flying- and Fire-types such as Zapdos and Moltres. Araquanid can deal with Fire-types, switching into strong special moves and preventing burns from Will-o-Wisp and Scald thanks to its ability. i feel the latter part of this sentence is redundant tbh, instead you can add how it can deflect hazards with magic coat or take on strong spatkers like lele with mirror coat Scizor can pivot using U-turn, and can also run Defog to remove Stealth Rock for Mega Pinsir. It can also check Ice- and Rock-types such as Baxcalibur and Ogerpon-Cornerstone with its STAB Technician-boosted Bullet Punch. merge both sciz sentences, and add the offensive part first Choice Scarf Buzzwole is a great partner and revenge killer, being able to wipe out the remaining foes if Mega Pinsir is knocked out. Volcarona appreciates Mega Pinsir's ability to deal with Kommo-o and Mega Venusaur, and in return acts as a special sweeper that can deal with walls such as Skarmory. Attackers such as Lokix, Heracross and Scizor can deal damage early game, making it easier for Mega Pinsir to sweep in the long run. dont need to mention sciz twice and hera is mid at best; instead just highlight lokix's role of its first impressions putting targets into range of pinsir's QA and also it being able to deal with Skeledirge by blocking its torch song with throat chop or deal massive dmg if z, might be long but its worth it i think.

that is all!

Mega Pinsir is a great late-game sweeper and one of Bug-types's Bug's best answers to Fighting-types(RC) thanks to its typing and ability in Aerilate ability. (this version makes it clearer that Aerilate has nothing to do with its typing) Swords Dance boosts its power even further, overpowering foes such as Toxapex and Celesteela. Return is its main Flying-STAB Flying-type STAB move, hitting Grass-, Bug-,(AC) and Fighting-types such as Mega Venusaur, Volcarona,(AC) and Kommo-o,(AC) respectively. Using Frustration with 0 happiness is also an option, as it prevents Ditto from doing too much damage after copying Mega Pinsir. (more of a QC issue I know, but is there any downside to using Frustration over Return? I'm more curious than anything, I wonder why it's not considered the default move) Quick Attack is a strong priority move that allows Mega Pinsir to revenge kill fast threats such as Iron Valiant, Ogerpon-Hearthflame,(AC) (forme names are always written as single letters, like Rotom-W instead of Rotom-Wash) and +1 Kommo-o. Close Combat nails Steel- and Rock-types such as Heatran, Ferrothorn,(AC) and Tyranitar, but Earthquake is also viable to hit Gholdengo, Aegislash,(AC) and Fire-types such as Torkoal and Volcanion. Its Araquanid's access to Magic Coat allows it to deflect status and hazards as well. Scizor can check Ice- and Rock-types such as Baxcalibur and Ogerpon-Cornerstone with its STAB Technician-boosted (dex info) Bullet Punch, as well as pivot using with U-turn and run Defog to remove Stealth Rock with Defog. Choice Scarf Buzzwole is a great partner and revenge killer, being able to wipe out the remaining foes if Mega Pinsir is knocked out. Volcarona appreciates Mega Pinsir's ability to deal with Kommo-o and Mega Venusaur, and in return it acts as a special sweeper that can deal with walls such as Skarmory (dunno if it's meta-accurate but if Volc specifically targets physical walls like Skarm you should specify that here). Lokix is a great revenge killer thanks to its strong First Impression(RC) putting foes into range of Mega Pinsir's Quick Attack. Its access to Throat Chop and Knock Off also deals with Ghost-types, and the former preventing prevents Skeledirge from using Torch Song, that which would otherwise be a pain to deal with, and while the latter removing removes items. Main mistake I saw was the lack of Oxford commas, I hate them too tbh but Smogon mandates them to keep things consistent

StupidFlandrs48
hitting Grass-, Bug-,(AC) and Fighting-types such as Mega Venusaur, Volcarona,(AC) and Kommo-o,(AC) respectively.
'respectively' is used to clear up ambiguity, so it doesn't need to be added here. we don't assume the type chart is ambiguous because it's searchable on the dex, so a reader should know that venu is a grass, volc is a bug, and kommo is a fighting

pivot Mega Pinsir in onto the field
'pivot x in' is fine to say

Kleavor can deal with Flying- and Fire-types such as Zapdos and Moltres(RP)(AC), respectively
the same deal as above that types don't need to be clarified with respectively. this also doesn't work, becaus erespectively assumes the first example applies to the first mon and the second example applies to the second mon only, but moltres is both a flying and a fire type, so it isn't correct

from the likes of Tapu Lele or Gholdengo
'the likes of' is plural, referring to multiple examples. therefore, 'tapu lele or gholdengo' needs to change to 'tapu lele and gholdengo' to agree

in return it acts as a special sweeper that can deal with walls such as Skarmory
there should be a comma after 'in return'

Z-crystal
Z-Crystal should be capitalised like that, the same way that Z-Move is
