Mega Medicham is one of the fiercest wallbreakers in the National Dex metagame due to its access to Pure Power, fantastic coverage, powerful Fake Out, and solid Speed tier, which gets the jump on Pokemon such as Kyurem, Heatran, and Landorus-T. Fake Out allows Mega Medicham to wear down and potentially revenge kill faster offensive threats, such as Tapu Koko, Mega Lopunny, and Weavile. Zen Headbutt nails the Poison, Flying, and Fairy-types that resist High Jump Kick, such as Toxapex, Zapdos, and Clefable. Thunder Punch hammers Slowbro, Moltres, Slowking, and Tapu Fini while also damaging Mega Sableye. Ice Punch can also be used over Thunder Punch to deal large amounts of damage to Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Mega Latias, but the loss of Thunder Punch leaves Mega Medicham walled by Slowbro. Telepathy is the preferred ability to take less damage from opposing Ditto that copy Medicham prior to Mega Evolution. Maximum Speed investment and a Jolly nature allow Mega Medicham to make use of its base 100 Speed, notably outspeeding Gliscor, Tapu Lele, and offensive Landorus-T. An Adamant nature can also be utilized, notably scoring 2HKOes on Slowbro with Thunder Punch and Clefable with Zen Headbutt. The loss in Speed, however, is detrimental, as it leaves Mega Medicham vulnerable to being revenge killed by Choice Specs Kyurem, offensive Landorus-T, and Hydreigon.

Due to Mega Medicham's mediocre bulk, pivots such as Slowbro, Blissey, and Corviknight are great partners to allow it free entry. Knock Off or Toxic support is very useful to break defensive cores more effectively. Most notably, poisoning Slowbro and removing Clefable's Leftovers let Mega Medicham 2HKO them. Entry hazard support is also phenomenal due to the amount of switches Mega Medicham forces, which let it accumulate a great deal of residual damage on the opponent's team. This makes Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Greninja very strong partners. Additionally, Pursuit support is invaluable given how much Mega Medicham struggles with Ghost- and Psychic-types, so Weavile and Tyranitar can aid Mega Medicham's ability to wallbreak greatly. Also, Pokemon like Gengar and Ash-Greninja can threated Ghost- and Psychic-types while also benefitting from the amount of pressure Mega Medicham applies to Blissey. Tapu Koko is also quite a good partner, as it powers up Mega Medicham's Thunder Punch with Electric Terrain, allowing it to 2HKO Slowbro. Tapu Lele adds Psychic Terrain to power up Mega Medicham's Zen Headbutt, notably letting it score a 2HKO on Bold Clefable. However, be aware that Psychic Terrain will render Mega Medicham unable to use Fake Out. Mega Medicham is best used as a mid-game wallbreaker, so late-game wincons such as Swords Dance Gliscor and Calm Mind Tapu Lele synergize well with it.

Bullet Punch can be used in the last moveslot to give Mega Medicham greater flexibility against offensive teams, allowing it to pick off faster offensive threats that have been weakened, such as Weavile, Mega Lopunny, and Hawlucha. Substitute might seem appealing due to the amount of switches Mega Medicham forces, but this leaves Mega Medicham without a vital coverage move. Drain Punch may also seem appealing due to its heightened accuracy and recovery when compared to High Jump Kick, but it lacks power. Similarly, Poison Jab appears attractive to break Clefable, but it offers little else.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic-type Pokemon such as Reuniclus, Mega Latias, and Mew resist both of Mega Medicham's STAB attacks and can use it as setup fodder. However, Mega Latias must be wary of Ice Punch. Mew is especially dangerous, as it can burn Mega Medicham with Will-O-Wisp, effectively taking it out of commission. Also, both Slowbro and Slowking will wall Mega Medicham carrying Ice Punch.

**Ghost-types**: Aegislash and Gengar are immune to High Jump Kick, threatening to switch in and cause crash damage whenever Mega Medicham uses the move, and threaten it back with Shadow Ball. In spite of this, Gengar cannot freely switch into Mega Medicham due to its poor bulk and Zen Headbutt. Aegislash can also revenge kill Mega Medicham easily with Shadow Sneak. Mega Sableye is particularly problematic, as it is immune to both of Mega Medicham's STAB attacks and takes minimal damage from its coverage moves, all while threatening to burn it with Will-O-Wisp.

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Mega Medicham's mediocre bulk and middling Speed, Revenge killers such as Mega Lopunny, Tapu Koko, and Weavile can outspeed and inflict massive damage onto it.

**Strong Priority**: Mega Medicham's average bulk leave it vulnerable to strong priority the likes of Rillaboom's Grassy Glide and Mega Mawile or Bisharp's Sucker Punch.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-type Pokemon such as Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko can take a hit and threaten to OHKO Mega Medicham back. They can't sustainably switch into hits, though, as they either lack recovery or cannot switch directly into Zen Headbutt. Clefable deserves special mention, as Bold Clefable can repeatedly hold off Mega Medicham, though it runs the risk of being flinched by Zen Headbutt.

**Landorus-T**: Though lacking recovery, defensive Landorus-T can cause Mega Medicham to take massive amounts of Rocky Helmet chip damage. It does have to watch out for Ice Punch variants of Mega Medicham, though.

**Protect Users**: High Jump Kick crash damage can be fatal for Mega Medicham. As such, potential Protect users such as Melmetal, Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Alomomola should always be scouted for.

Mega Medicham is one of the fiercest wallbreakers in the National Dex metagame. This is courtesy of due to its access to Pure Power, great coverage, coupled with its and a solid speed tier, allowing it to get which gets the jump on Pokemon such as Kyurem, Heatran, and Landorus-T. Fake Out allows Medicham to wear down and potentially revenge kill faster offensive threats, such as Tapu Koko, Mega Lopunny, and Cinderace. High Jump Kick hits ludicrously hard, and deals immense damage to any Pokemon weak to or neutral to Fighting, notably achieving feats such as OHKOing offensive Magearna and 2HKOing Mega Latios (more relevant example, please). Zen Headbutt nails the Poison, Flying, and Fairy-types that resists Mega Medicham's Fighting-type STAB, such as Toxapex, Zapdos, Amoonguss, and Clefable. Thunder Punch hammers Slowbro, Slowking Moltres, and Tapu Fini while also damaging Mega Sableye, (RC) who is immune to both of Medicham's STABs. (filler). (AP) Ice Punch can also be used over Thunder Punch to crush do a large amount of damage to Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Mega Latias, but the loss of Thunder Punch leaves Mega Medicham walled by Slowbro. Telepathy is the preferred ability to take less damage from opposing Ditto that copy Mega Medicham prior to Mega Evolution. Medichamite allows Medicham to Mega Evolve. (filler) Max Attack and Speed investment allow Medicham to hit as hard as possible while also making use of its base 100 Speed, notably outspeeding Gliscor, Tapu Lele, and Heatran. (Add a mention of Adamant here, and the pros / cons)

Due to Mega Medicham's mediocre bulk, pivots such as Slowbro, Blissey, and Corviknight are great partners to allow Mega Medicham free entry without taking damage. Knock Off or Toxic support is very useful, as removing Slowbro's Heavy-Duty Boots or poisoning it leaves it vulnerable to a 2HKO from Mega Medicham's Thunder Punch. (This suggestion is good, but the sentence needs restructuring in a way as to mention multiple examples beyond Slowbro). Entry hazard support is also phenomenal due to the amount of switches Mega Medicham forces, which can be used to accumulate a great deal of hazard damage on the opponent's team. This makes Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Greninja very strong partners. Additionally, Pursuit support is invaluable given how much Mega Medicham struggles with Ghost and Psychic-types, so the likes of Weavile and Tyranitar aid Mega Medicham greatly (with what?). Tapu Koko is also quite a good partner, as it powers up Mega Medicham's Thunder Punch with Electric Terrain, allowing Mega Medicham to 2HKO Slowbro. (Add mentions of Tapu Lele, late game cleaners, and special attackers that form good cores with Medicham)

Mega Medicham has no other viable set options. (Mention Bullet Punch, Substitute,
that Drain Punch sucks, and also how Poison Jab hits literally only Clefable)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic-type Pokemon, such as Reuniclus, Mega Latias, and Mew resist both of Mega Medicham's STAB attacks and can use Mega Medicham as setup fodder. Mew is especially dangerous, as it can burn Mega Medicham with Will-O-Wisp, effectively taking Mega Medicham out of comission commission. (Mention how Latias must watch out for Ice Punch)

**Ghost-types**: Ghost-types such as Mega Sableye and Gengar are immune to High Jump Kick, and can threaten Mega Medicham back with STAB Ghost-type attacks. (This literally plagiarizes the SM OU analysis, and Mega Sab doesn’t even run Ghost STAB. Rewrite this.) Mega Sableye is particularly problematic, as it is immune to both of Mega Medicham's STAB attacks and takes minimal damage from Mega Medicham's coverage moves, all while threatening to burn Mega Medicham with Will-O-Wisp. (Mention Aegislash somewhere in here as well)

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Mega Medicham's mediocre bulk and middling speed, Revenge Killers such as Mega Lopunny, Cinderace, and Weavile can outspeed and threaten to inflict massive damage onto Mega Medicham.

Mention Priority from Rillaboom, Mawile, Bisharp, and even Crawdaunt or Opposing Medicham here.

Bullet Punch can be used in the last slot to allow Mega Medicham to have greater flexibility vs versus offensive teams as it allows Mega Medicham to pick off faster offensive threats that have been weakened, such as a weakened Weavile, Mega Lopunny, and or Hawlucha. Substitute might seem appealing due to the amount of switches Mega Medicham forces, however, this will leave but this leaves Mega Medicham without a vital coverage move. Drain Punch may also seem appealing due to its hightened accuracy and recovery when compared to High Jump Kick, however, the lack in power severly cuts into Mega Medicham's wallbreaking abilities. but it lacks power. Poison Jab also appears useful at first, due to its ability to break Clefable, but it is simply not as good as any of the listed options outside of that. however, Clefable is already hit quite hard by Zen Headbutt, and loss of coverage in Mega Medicham's last moveslot severely impedes its breaking abilities.

QC has decided that adding a section dedicated to Fairy-types and also a section for Landorus specifically would be good.
