[OVERVIEW]
Magnezone is a dynamic Volt Switch user thanks to its Steel typing, which allows it to check foes like Gardevoir and Jirachi as well as threaten big damage on incoming Ground-types like Hippowdon and Krookodile with ease. Choice Specs + Analytic Magnezone is incredibly difficult for walls to check reliably, as it can threaten to 2HKO foes like Assault Vest Cyclizar and Registeel if they try to switch into an attack. With its natural bulk, Magnezone can opt to run defensive items like Assault Vest and Leftovers, allowing it to take more attacks in an attempt to pivot and wear the opposition down. As a great user of multiple Tera types, such as Fairy and Grass, Magnezone can pick and choose what walls it wants to break past, such as Umbreon and Gastrodon. Magnezone does struggle, however, to break through these common walls without Terastallization because of its lack of coverage moves. Magnezone also struggles to utilize Volt Switch at times, being prediction reliant against foes like Krookodile and Gligar that can come in and threaten it.

Other Options
====
Magnezone can use Iron Defense + Body Press sets to be an effective setup sweeper, especially in conjunction with Magnet Pull to trap foes like Klefki and Hisuian Goodra. Steel Beam is an alternative STAB attack that trades its health to blow through would-be checks like Cyclizar. Choice Scarf is a niche but effective item on Magnezone, allowing it to dish out massive damage to unsuspecting foes like Fezandipiti and Salamence. Air Balloon, and the more niche Magnet Rise, can enable IronPress sets to great effect, letting them take on foes like Krookodile and Mamoswine comfortably.
Checks and Counters
====
**Wo-Chien**: Wo-Chien can comfortably take on Magnezone with its standard Leech Seed sets.
**Ground-types**: Gastrodon is a notable Magnezone counter, comfortably sponging its attacks and threatening to KO it back with Earthquake. Quagsire and Swampert are similar counters, though they're more niche and don't take it on quite as well. Offensive Ground-types force Magnezone to guess which attack to use, with threats like Krookodile punishing Volt Switch attempts.
**Steel-type Walls**: Hisuian Goodra and Registeel are notable checks most Magnezone sets, as Hisuian Goodra resists both of its STAB moves, and both of them comfortably sponge its attacks before threatening to hit it back with Flamethrower and Body Press, respectively. Bronzong is a niche pick that can similarly check Magnezone.
**Electric-types**: Raikou can use Magnezone as setup fodder or tank an attack from it before threatening it back with Aura Sphere or Scald. Opposing Magnezone can be problematic, as sets without Body Press or Tera Blast Ground struggle to make progress against the other. Rotom-H is a niche but effective VoltTurn member that can threaten an OHKO on Magnezone with its Overheat.
