If I had to guess, this will certainly be in UU, and if Scarf becomes a thing, potentially in OU as a better Terrakion. Tough Claws and a great movepool to abuse it are amazing. It doesn't have bulk, but it can't be perfect.
"Better Terrakion" seems like a slight stretch. Terrakion's Fighting STAB and added bulk alone make it a better option, even with the lower Speed Tier and lack of STAB priority. That Rock + Fighting STAB combo is just so good (and CC provides it with an option way stronger than any coverage Lycanroc can muster.)If I had to guess, this will certainly be in UU, and if Scarf becomes a thing, potentially in OU as a better Terrakion. Still, I do agree that this thing has legs, competitively speaking. Good Speed (even if it's in an increasingly overcrowded Speed Tier), good Attack further cemented by Tough Claws and a decent selection of contact moves (I really wish there was a stronger, non-priority contact Rock move for it, though, as to really flesh its sets out).
Also, and this is just personal preference, but I do love the orange fur and green eyes. It's definitely my favorite Lycanroc form from a design perspective.
Nope, it doesn't, and even if it did, that's still just 50 BP (65 after Tough Claws).Doesn't Smack Down make contact?
The only thing is that you're achieving the exact same damage output by just using Stomping Tantrum twice. I guess it does make you a bit more free to use Protect in cases where you're not sure whether the opponent will stay in or switch, but just using ST is generally the better move in case they outspeed or whatever. Will Stomping Tantrum double in power if Lycanroc uses Protect on a switch-in on the prior turn (naturally failing)? 225 Base Power before possible super-effectiveness seems absurd.
That last calc with Gliscor has you holding a Life Orb. Regardless, you still OHKO:![]()

Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Stone Edge

This thing seems like UU material, and may be usable, thanks to its strong ability, decent offensive stats and excellent movepool. However, Lycanroc doesn't have a solid bulk, and its typing is bad defensively, meaning it's weak to priority like Bullet Punch, Mach Punch, Water Shuriken, etc, so I guess, that over time the OU metagame will adapt, and it will drop to UU.

It's probably not powerful or bulky enough to abuse it that well.Has anyone mentioned that Lycanroc-Dusk has access to Z-Happy Hour? The event Rockruff comes knowing it.
Yeah, but for ingame... imma get me that Kommo-o outfit. It's probably not powerful or bulky enough to abuse it that well.
It can evolve into other formes, yes.Can the event Rockruff evolve into the other forms too, or only Dusk?
Which ability will they have?It can evolve into other formes, yes.
It can evolve into other formes, yes.
Short answer: no, it doesn't matter what gender you get, but female will make things slightly easier later on.I never really tried at Gen 7 breeding, so I have to ask: if I am trying to breed a Lycanroc-Dusk later on, does it matter what gender the Rockruff I pick up at the Pokémon Center has if I am trying to pass down the ability + put it in a cool ball?
If you evolve the event rockruff into midday/midnight and then breed it, will the babies still have own tempo?
