League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

i don't know if taiwan is counted in south east asia? my south east asian allstar would just be 5/5 TPA though...i honestly can't pick out any player on SGS, TPS or SAJ that would be better than their TPA equivalent, with the exception of possibly archie over bebe

yeah this was my thought process. any all-star team in SEA or china would be weaker than TPA and WE's current rosters, respectively. invictus has actually improved tremendously and were ahead of WE in the LPL, but this is largely due to team synergy and not the skill of any individual player

i agree with everything else you've said, too. i haven't been watching the LPL games, nor have i gotten a chance to see PE or TPS in action so i'm not an expert (yet).

So uhh

With Diamondprox not being able to show up at All stars, who do you guys have in mind for the next best choice o.o

cyanide is the next best choice but snoopeh is probably going to win it

malunoo has been very good in the past but he's not consistent enough imo

ALSO lissandra has been up for a little while on the PBE and she plays very much like morg

your E into ult->W or W->ult is a ton of damage and a ridiculous amount of INSTANT crowd control while your Q is a spammable AoE nuke that slows and hits a 2.4 second CD at 40% CDR and rank 5

compared to morg she has a lot more burst and a lot more poke, a reliable escape/initiate, faster CC, and a ton of DPS when she maxes out on CDR while losing the spell vamp passive, the potential to Q-snare someone, and the gamebreaking utility of black shield

OVERALL she looks really strong and liandry's was practically made for her meaning that we're likely to see sorc/liandry/hourglass/abyssal scepter builds on a champion who'll basically be impossible to kill (3.5 seconds of stasis) and still deal a ton of damage

morellonomicon and frozen heart are both excellent CDR options depending on whether you want damage or defense.

doublelift basically trashes on the AD carries of basically every region EXCEPT for weixiao

he has an insane amount of respect for WX and literally came right out and said "weixiao is better than me" which given doublelift's personality was a pretty big shock to hear

Trundle = Lissandra, both of them were killed off by the Ice Witch and replaced with a doppelganger. :chaos:

Would prefer to see red elixir get nerfed in some way other than price, like make the lower bound of the health gain miniscule so it isn't hurt as a mid/lategame purchase.

Meh. I'm not an SR fan anyway.

However, I have confirmed there is something gloriously fun about rushing Nashor's Tooth, tier 1 boots and Grez's spectral lantern, out-CSing everyone else in the game, then going straight AD.

And that Hydra+Black Cleaver Malphite is hilarious on ARAM.

@Tortferngatr-if there was ranked Dominion (even if it was only ranked teams) I would play it with my friends so much because it's much easier to pick up and put down and it skips straight to our favorite part of the game, contesting objectives and teamfighting.

But without ranked, I don't want to play it since I played 100 games of it when it released and I was level 17, and it absolutely tanked my normal elo in it. I routinely get afks and below level 30s-if there was ranked I could get a fresh start with players around my skill level.

there are three ADs that double respects, weixiao and devil whom he believes is better than him, and uzi whom he believes is only just below him

SECRETS KEPT ARE WEAPONS WASTED

i think i'll take spell vamp quints next time i play though, i overestimated the amount of sustain a dorans blade start gave me in the jungle. had to b after hitting 3 but managed to grab a kill top so it was fine

i dunno it's kind of retarded how level 3 udyr with a dorans blade is literally the strongest champion at that point of the game and can 1v1 anyone and burst for about 80% of a squishy's health pool

I'm willing to duo queue once I get 599 wins across all matchmade maps, since I'm currently 299 on Dominion and really want to court a Red for the 600/300th win.

For now, though, this guy gives some nice tips about how to play against low elo.

My own contributions:
-If you face a strong pusher botlane (like Heimerdinger), gank his point if he pushes out too far. You can give your own botlaner a chance to recover.
-Always buy Hextech Sweeper or The Lightbringer against Teemo. No exceptions. Even if Teemo (or Shaco) isn't on the enemy team, Sweeper gives a shitload of movespeed and Grez's Spectral Lantern is cheap in more than one sense--plus you can use the active effect to scout and stealth reveal.
-Take Revive. If you are afraid, duo queue with someone from the dominatedominion chat--especially if you like playing bot lane.
-Map awareness is OP. If your point LOOKS juicy and undefended, there's a likelihood that someone will try to backcap it.

-Tier list for high elo with some application to low. I suspect Amumu, Vi, Kayle, Wukong, Elise, and Nidalee translate best top lane to low elo. New Karma, Poppy, and Xin might also be good top at low level play, although I'm less certain about how they'd translate. For bot lane I suspect Malzahar, Zyra, Jayce, and Kayle would provide strong win chances.

You can play Kassadin, but he can lead to bad habits VERY easily. Kha'Zix isn't quite as bad, but he ranks up there.

but there's nothing to discuss, its just a monologue complaining about stuff that literally nobody with a shred of intelligence says (seriously cannot tell you the last time I saw someone whine about someone playing a top that doesnt do enough damage) @_@

I read some of it for some reason, knowing yeti wrote it, but then I stopped after a couple paragraphs when I realized she was simply rambling on about nothing.

As someone who probably has more Dominion skillz than anyone else here, I will never side with the Revive crowd. Having Exhaust or Ignite will win you at least twice as many fights as Revive brings you back from. Revive stopped being awesome when they cut its movespeed boost. :[ It's only okay bottom, to avoid losing your point if you get ganked, or like if you don't have anything else to use because you're Urgot and prefer to shoot people from twice Ignite's range.

Bringing back the Allstars drama ^.^

For EU, I can "understand" almost every single #1 atm (err Wicked underperforming badly though)... but the AD carry spot.
What the heck, Yellowpete ? He's really not so good, and to be honest I believe that he's flat out under the level of Genja and Yellowstar.

I did read Scarra's post and he compared Genja and Cop. They're just too passiv in his opinion. MEH.
Genja has been the one inovating the most by the past, he totally shifted the ad carry's meta back in S2 when M5 came out. Remember, wriggle, PD, what the fuck was that ? He was the most aggressive AD carry ever back in the day. His Urgot was the playmaker, his MF was a bitch to face and I remember him and Gosu raping methodically every single botlane in EU. At this time, everybody was licking Graves shoes... he did bring his own pool under the spotlights. It means that Genja can totally able to adapt to the situation (passive of offensive), knows exactly the trade's logic because he played at the best level the two extremes.
I always thought that the jungle and the botlane of M5 were their two main pilars, with mid and top snowballing along when they could.
And to be honest, I don't like M5 at all, fuck those russians. But if there is a player who keeps amazing me it's Genja. He's playing safe, but sometimes he totally crush the ennemy's botlane. Yup, Gosu helps here, but at this level, a support like Gosu wouldn't be so aggressive if he didn't know that Genja is behind. And as I said, just watch those Urgot games... seriously it was a rape most of the time coming from Genja.

Yellowpete is, maybe the less deserving. Krepo is carrying him most of the time, on the top of that, he's probably the most passiv AD carry I've ever seen. He's totally afraid of going 1v1, and Wicked recent post on his facebook, is reinforcing my opinion here. He has 0 confidence in himself, and you can pretty much see why since he lost to every other top AD carries.
Yellowstar, if Genja isnt chosen, SHOULD be the Allstars EU adc, or at least Hosan considering his b@lls. Yellowstar is solid as fuck, he's totally on spot with his Varus, and is able to play all the current adc to a very decent level.
What bothers me with Yellowstar, is that he's really often asking the swap of the lanes. If you listen to Fnatics, it's most of the time the botlane that forces s0az to swap lanes. I don't really like that too too much.

The toplanerVSbotlane metagame right now is helping a lot adc like Yellowpete, since they don't get outplayed by the opposite botlane directly, but I really want him to not be on the Allstars team. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that if he's, he will prove my point himself.

Only reason why Genja wouldn't be in the Allstars team... I don't know if he can communicate in english decently...

Yeah Yellowpete is the weak link on EG for sure. Froggen, Snoopeh, and Krepo are all top 3 at their respective positions in EU, yet they've still underperformed for the longest time. From what I've seen, this is certainly not because of the aforementioned 3 players. Wickd is inconsistent, sometimes he gets destroyed, other times he arguably plays better than Froggen. Soaz>Wickd, but I can tolerate him being an all-star. Yellowpete I've never seen carry a game once and lets just say he... plays in a way that doesn't give his team a chance to win day in day out.

Also Dyrus over Voyboy is a complete joke.

snoopeh is inconsistent and has not been playing up to par lately

the top three imo are diamondprox, cyanide, and svenskeren (in that order) in my opinion. snoopeh barely cracks top 5.

most of the NA and EU pro players have voiced their opinion that dyrus would be better than voyboy in terms of international competition. keep in mind that dyrus has held his own against some of the best international top laners in the world, including reapered when he was on blaze. dyrus has the experience and the consistency whereas voyboy does not - doublelift said in an interview that although voyboy is more likely to carry curse to victory, he tends to struggle when he falls behind early. i don't think that voyboy is going to be able to outplay stanley/shy/reapered/caomei/whoever shows up in the allstar matches.

also, many pros have voiced that we don't "need" a carry top laner when we go overseas; rather, we need someone who can consistently play well and play tanks, and dyrus does that exactly. when you consider that this is likely going to be a team with saintvicious and doublelift on jungle and ADC, it only makes sense to go for the consistent, tanky player over the riskier voyboy.

EDIT: also dyrus's rumble is significantly better than voyboy's in tournament play and considering that he is still one of the most contested picks in korea/china/SEA, it's going to be incredibly valuable to actually have a rumble player on the roster instead of being forced to ban him every game

the top three imo are diamondprox, cyanide, and svenskeren (in that order) in my opinion. snoopeh barely cracks top 5.
While diamond is imo the undisputed #1 jungler, I'd put hyrqbot above svenskeren for sure and think he's close with cyanide. He's been really good with SK.

I voted for Dyrus, Saint, mandatorycloud, imaqtpie, and patoy. I didn't vote in EU but would vote for soaz, diamond, xpeke, hosan, and edward.

I'd probably change mancloud to regi after thinking about it more, but definitely wouldn't vote scarra.

So much qq on GD about Janna right now.

When will people learn to counterpick and attack the meta pressures that are MAKING these champions strong instead of just calling for nerfs.

League of Cleavers->League of Warmogs because health counters armor pen->BotRK because it counters heatlh->bruiser meta because they're bruisers->Artillery carries and mages because they sit around outside bruiser range DPSing->Assassins who can actually reach the long range carries and blow them up->Janna who peels said assassins
