League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

i end up pushing a lot of towers midgame which is why i take hunters call over blood scent, but i have done blood scent second once and it has worked well

my guide will be obsolete in a few days since theoddone is releasing his warwick guide i believe, and he's probably the top jungler in the world right now so yeah

Thorns, as much as I think you don't know nearly enough about every champion as you let on, your guide to Warwick made me a good Warwick player again instantly. I've never read a better guide, so don't get the attitude that somehow another good guide makes yours obsolete. The idea that any champion has one build and one way to play is total bullshit.

However, you may want to remove the comment that you are "smarter than most ranked players".

maybe i should have put smarter than most ranked players that i've played with because most of the ones on my list are sub 1200 and complete idiots who don't even ward BUT i should remove it before i get in trouble lol

and thanks, warwick is probably my favourite champion in the game so i like to think i'm doing a good thing here by sharing my experience. i enjoyed writing it and now i'm thinking of what to move onto next. i was thinking shen, there's a disgusting lack of a substantial shen guide, surprising considering he's probably the strongest initiator out there. most people know how to play him but i know newcomers feel lost when they play shen. i had a rough 'cheatsheet' for him on pastebin. other options include singed, but the rain man already has a superb guide on singed that most people follow already. i guess vlad could be an option too but i'm not the best vladimir, i excel at bruisers and initiators and am pretty bad at everything else. my ping stops me from last hitting effectively so i never play ad carries and i dont have the cps (commands per second like a starcraft player dohoho) to play most ap carries.

Well I suck with Vayne really don't get her at all, but I did notice in the matches on Sunday and Saturday that Vayne was either banned or picked every single game.

Btw anyone else watch some of those games? I saw about 10 I think. Salce whoever he is was pretty damn impressive in every single one of his matches. Thats what I remember most I think except for EG beating Solomid and CLG of course

Did EG and Solomid play before the final? I only watched the final matches to decide seeding between EG and TSM because I was watching the EU matches for most of the day. TSM crushed them.

played my first ranked game today with mtr, ended in a pretty decisive victory. when your team knows who to focus winning becomes as simple as moving as a pack from objective to objective and forcing the enemy to respond. i've applied this in normal games and i'm glad to see that it paid off in a ranked game. i jungled nunu, built full support and let mtr do the work as urgot. thankfully we had a singed who was a bit of a leeroy jenkins but still played good. we had a swain that could not be described as anything but a troll, however. he fed the annie he was laning against 3 kills, proceeded to kill her back 3 times, obtain a mejai's soulstealer, and going on random fits of ganking where sometimes he would get a double kill or other times he would get himself (and me ~_~) killed. all this while trashtalking the enemy team (and mtr ~_~)

but luckily i was able to stop anybody from touching mtr and just let him pump out the damage, i finished with a score of 5/6/32. i shouldn't have had any kills - i kind of let the 'MUST SECURE KILL' mentality get to me. my build was mercury's treads/banshee's veil/doran's ring/frozen heart/aegis of the legion/mana manipulator.

Played Corki for the first time yesterday. Started off terribly with a 3/4/0 score (my three kills were the only ones on the team, our score at that point was 3-10). Eventually I got into several good teamfights and left 11/4/5 or so.

Still, I couldn't carry hard enough. Our Shaco went 0/9/9 after dying to blue buff and feeding their Swain 3 kills early game, our Malphite went 0/7/8 and didn't know how to initiate a 5v4 yet apparently knew exactly how to start a 3v5 fight.

The enemy team having a Swain, Alistar, and Trundle didn't help either as they all jumped on me the second a fight would start.

Overall I'm sure I could have carried if my early game was better or if my teammates hadn't fed. I ended with about 320 CS, so that's good at least. What makes me sad is that the enemy team wasn't even good - their Caitlyn was terrible, and to be honest the only good player was Trundle, who kind of carried but Swain technically got the most kills (due not to his skill but rather to getting fed by a terrible Shaco).

Still, I won't make any more excuses. I messed up a few times that game and while finishing 15/7/5 isn't terrible, it's not good enough.

Bumping this thread saying that I've gotten into roaming Eve a lot lately and I want to know whether it'd be worthwhile to upgrade my Philosopher's Stone I get early game into an Eleisa's Miracle late-game, or if I should just sell Boots of Mobility late-game and buy Merc Treads.

Weigh the stat trade offs of each. In one you have Merc Treads and a Philo Stone... in the other you have Eleisa's and Boots of Mobility. Personally, I would go with Eleisa's, unless of course you feel you should sell the boots of mobility and Philo stone for Merc treads and some other item. It's really just pros and cons as usual with item building.

Finally bought Nidalee. Such a fun champion. Her Q from max range feels like Ulting someone from across the map as Ashe on a 5 second cooldown.

Obviously I'd be selling Philo Stone for a 6th item. I'm probably going to go with that - just selling Philo Stone later and getting Merc Treads late-game.

The most broken part about Nidalee is her heal, by far. Always max it first, get some decent AP, and you can't really die in lane anymore. Watch Hotshot play her - he may be a dick, but he's a god with the cat.

That's the most broken part about her?

The most broken part is that she can support and dps in the same game with the same items, and a good Nidalee player knows that there is always a right time for cat form and a right time for human form and when to take each. If you memorize exactly when your human abilities cooldown, then you are essentially playing a character with 6 abilities at once, three of which have no costs. Nidalee is the only support character I know that can mid, but furthermore she dominates mid at Level 6. She's also in my opinion the hardest character to gank when played right; I've routinely escaped 5 man ganks while split pushing. All this, and the reason she's not nerfed is because she's both very hard to play and she won't get insane kill counts.

My referrals page is empty. I spoke to some other players in a match earlier who said they got it yesterday but don't know why. It might be only on the EU server.

Not that I'm complaining. Free IP for me ^_^

Well, the next two games didn't end well because of some horrible teammates, but no worries. I have no particular attachment to my Elo, and I think that if you play LoL solely with the intent of gaining Elo, you will lose your sanity very fast.

The champs I play and am learning to lane with, which are LeBlanc and Urgot, are earlygame domination specialists, and as such require you to be very good at combining lasthitting with harassment. You can't just keep your head down and farm, you need to farm really hard for 20 minutes and beat the other guy, then go out and make shit happen.

Fortunately, I'm getting better at lasthitting, and can do 100 in 16 now while getting a kill and avoiding ganks. I can do better on Mordekaiser, but a trained dungbeetle can lasthit on Mordekaiser.

I'm working on last hitting right now and I can manage 93 CS in 10 minutes with Corki in a practice match, without entering the jungle and never recalling. In a practical game this would probably be around 100 CS in 15 minutes once you consider harass, escaping/initiating ganks, recalling to buy, and taking Wraiths every few minutes for the extra gold/EXP. Not bad, but it still needs work. I look at Hotshot or jiji play and their ability to CS still astounds me. Once there was a wave of 7 minions (3 melee, 4 ranged) pushed up to Hotshot's tower when he played Jarvan. He didn't miss a single creep - I don't even know. :/

I'm kind of a noob to the game and my experiences with it aren't usually the best since I play with all my RL friends who are all level 20+. I freaking love Teemo and despite him being incredibly squishy I usually always manage to cheat death and run back to safety. I can't use any melee characters though, I have to stick to range.

here are some new champions from E3; a dude with zombies, a tank that also happens to be a lady (with sword and shield!) and a scorpion.

this also features fire emblem for some reason.

skarn reminds me of sand king x_x

if anyone wants to do some 5 man normal queue trolling add me, username is manisier

so far i've done a 5 global team, 5x bulky dps with 5 fortifies, and a pre-game gank team (4 people teleporting to a dropped ward)
