Welcome to LCPL XIV! This tournament will have eight teams and ten slots, from SV to ADV LC.​

Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling. However, if you do not schedule through Smogon VMs, please post all logs of scheduling and manager pings, so I can make accurate activity calls.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.

ORAS: watashi vs Akaru Kokuyo - this is tough, oras is a prep heavy tier and I don't really see anyone on the krabbys who might be able to get a good mu against the stuff akaru runs. Close one, giving it to the sheet warrior but it's 55/45 at most

I like the Krabbys a lot, but their oldgens below SS are going to define the team - it's unclear how well they're supported, and there are no veteran players there. That they took the lily gambit definitely shows - but if lily is willing to dump her builder, their chances improve dramatically. Remos are definitely the more complete team - probably my favorite draft overall, if they can figure out their optimal lineup they should be poff contenders.

BW: Envy vs Corckscrew - corck always has like a 50% chance of x-1ing any tour he's in, so if he pops off this time around he could def beat envy
DPP: naere vs Nails - the goat
ADV: mielke vs jyusaan - I assume naere will be supporting here

I like both these teams. Even though I'm predicting a tko team victory, none of their wins are much more than 60/40. On the totodiles side, both westsasori and nails (goat) have more than 60/40 odds in their games - so between the teams both have around a 50/50 shot, despite how the predicts look. Both teams have strong slots balanced out by some risks - the tkos are definitely taking the biggest risks with mclt and naere/mielke in some odd dpp/adv pools, but that makes their ceiling one of the highest of all the teams.

ADV: PoseidonWrath vs BlackKnight_Gawain - I think people are finally appreciating how good poseidon is

ict was a really good buy from fille, and with fille support I assume tycarter will hold his own in the bw slot. Still, the cosmogpolitans are no slouches and have some very strong slots - a tie is fair here. Fille definitely took the biggest risk with sv this year - if it works out, he'll probably have one of the strongest lus and strongest poffs chances between loki and his strong oldgen core.
 
I got 0 idea on 85% of matchups, so I am qualified to do predictions
