Welcome to the LC Classic playoffs! After 2 months of competition across 5 tournaments, the 16 top performers are set to compete for the title of best LC oldgens player. Each round of the playoffs will be a single-elimination, best-of-five series where the higher seed selects the first generation played, then the loser of each game selects from the remaining unplayed generations. Seeds have been determined based on how far each player advanced in each Cup, following a similar point system used in Grand Slam and other tours (see here for more details), with overall win percentage followed by best finish acting as tiebreakers. The bracket is as follows:

As a reminder, the playoffs have a prize this year! The winner of the playoffs will receive $350 and the runner-up will receive $150. Have fun and good luck to everyone competing!

Deadline is Sunday, June 4 at 10PM -4. Play-in deadline is Wednesday, May 31 at 10PM -4.

based on nothing i haven't seen any of yall play old gens
 
eeveeto vs moha: eeveetos my friends, mohameds my hater.
lilyac vs eeveeto: lily is obviously way more proven than eeveeto in all lc tiers, and she plays super well too, while he sometimes makes mistakes he loves to admit. still, eeveeto has always a huge upset potential between his crazy teams and plays
ninjadog vs star: even tho star is my fav smogon player playing wise, i dont think he will care much, and, while he has lots of lc oldgens experience, ninja does so too while being much more recent.
tazz vs iss: tazz probably gets stomped in bw, and wins in any other tier
voltix vs gasy: voltix has had a crazy year so far, and i dont expect it to stop just yet.
luthier vs heysup: this is a tough matchup. i can see luthier take some games, he is a former sm lc main and has obviously done well, but heysup plays so well he even wins using heysup teams
elfuseon vs hacker: crazy matchup too, repeating ss cup finals. elfu plays everything, and he will be tough to beat on any tier. however, i think doors plays are slightly superior, and i think he knows these tiers well enough to pull it off
scottie vs charis akins: i think osh is the best lc player there is and id vote for him vs everyone, especially a newcomer
zben vs quinn: gonna be honest, i havent seen much from zben

lily vs zben: i wanna say lily takes this. zbens run has been quite impressive this tour, but former classic champion lilyac is much more knowledgeable and experienced in all tiers, i think she wins for sure in all but bw
ninja vs scottie: this is such a highlight. im bolding osh bc, as ive said before, i think he is the best lc player currently, and so id bold him over anyone. keep an eye on ninja tho, hes been a top 10 player since long before i joined the tier, and he is still putting up impressive records and wins. both are super skilled, but i think ninja only has an edge in bw over osh (im not sure about their dpp so im not gonna comment there)
tazz vs hacker: ive seen talks in the discord about hacker having a higher ceiling or whatever, and i could see that, but i still think tazz takes this. his lc games are always really clean, and he is much more proven in every tier but ss, which is still super close to doors. i can definitely see him winning tho, he is really good too and knows a lot more than youd expect in these oldgens.
voltix vs luthier: i wanna bold volto so bad, but imo luth takes this, as i think they both share the same knowledge in all tiers more or less, but id say luth is more skilled in general, since he plays other tiers at a high level too, while being a former lc main.
