Kingdra

Why Disable? Substitute is a much better option since it blocks status and allows you to then get a free DD in.

Yeah, I'm gonna back up Marzbar on this, I tried out the DD+Disable set and the Lum Berry really goes the extra mile. Watch as Breloom decides to be a wise guy and Spores it while you Dragon Dance, or any other situation where you'll be receiving some crippling status. I find my Lum Berry disappearing before I get to Outrage which is unfortunate, but the 2-3 turns spent Outraging at +1 are pure gold.

Well, slight bump, but I have an idea.

Ferro walls most Kingdra to hell and back, so what if you could trap and remove the durian? Gothitelle can do it for you! Pair it up with the Disable set, and teams will be losing to you because Gothitelle weakened Ferrothorn. Of course, I would say that Genesect can lure them out and let Gothitelle finish it off.

I have yet to test it out, but I really think that this could be potent...

Ha. Marzbar's set reminded me of a set I posted back in Gen IV creative moveset thread but it was Sub-Disable and therefore mono-attacking with Outrage alone (back then disable was less accurate as well). I like the idea of using lum berry to remove status and gaining the coverage. Sub does allow Kindrga to set up forever on certain faster Pokemon (esp. scarfers) provided they switched into substitute. But yeah, I like your set. Seems more practical overall.

You ain't muscling past ferro with either sub or diable antics, so a magnezone is definitely a recommended partner. What's amazing about this strategy is that you can run the sub charge beam set and usually take out two of the opposing teams pokemon in the process, just absolutely make sure you're coming in on powerwhip and not leech seed or thunderwave. I like to dd, sub as the ferro tries to status/seed, and then immediately switch out to magnezone when it tries to break the sub. From there magnezone gets its own free sub that breaks after two power whips, possible more since it has imperfect accuracy.

Speaking of my Disable Kingdra set, I need some help with the HP EVs.

I want to make Kingdra bulky enough to avoid being 2HKO'd by common, strong neutral attacks, but still fast enough to be a threat after a Dragon Dance boost.

For example:

Stone Edge from a standard Terrakion
or
Earthquake from a standard Landorus

Assume Kingdra does NOT have Leftovers (it has Lum Berry), and assume Stealth Rock is NOT in play.

What HP investment is required to ensure Kingdra can take two hits from those above mentioned attacks? And any other common neutral attacks that pack similar punch.

You're not surviving 2 of anything with just 252 HP EVs. According to the calculator I use (this 'un), you need at least 132 Defense EVs and a neutral nature to avoid the 2HKO from Jolly Scarf Terrakion's Stone Edge. I don't need to do the calcs to tell you that Sand Force EQ in sand is much stronger.

Also: That's JUST Stone Edge, which Terrakion has no reason to use when it has the more powerful and perfectly accurate Close Combat.

Strange. I took a hit from Stone Edge with only 4 HP investment and it did around 60% to me. Maybe it wasn't a Terrakion then.

The set still rules though. You just have to make sure you have set up with DD before they send in something that can 2HKO it.

Eh, I prefer Sub personally because you can set up on bulky Waters without worrying about Scald burns. Lum + Disable is cool, I just hate how prediction reliant it becomes when you've already revealed it.
