I. Introduction
Tinkaton has always been one of my biggest interests in gen 9 OU. Not only does the pink gremlin carries around a gigantic iron hammer but it also knows a lot of shenanigans for tomfoolery. With Rock, Wave, Encore and one of the best type combinations in the game, Tinka can prove that even with the miserable 75 atk, she can still be a good pick in higher ladder.
The team also features another UU mon (Keldeo) and an OU mon that feels like an UU mon at this point of the metagame (Meowscarada). I'm glad that they do help a lot against a lot of meta problems in the game. I do have some struggles after the post Kyurem re-unban meta, but generally, this team serves me well.

III. Explain:
- Tinkaton: Steel Fairy is a great typing. It also has a respectable sp def bulk to go 1v1 against special attacker Valiant, as well as Darkrai (as long as it doesn't have +2 sp atk and hit with a Focus Blast). Against the ground guys, Tinkaton may be a momentum sink, but Giganton can deal some chip damage, and Pickpocket + Air Balloon allows me to remove Boots, get the Rocky Helmet or Leftovers to further disrupt with them. Encore is a great move to deal with slower setup sweepers, while Twave + Encore allows me to cripple some faster setup sweepers. Rock is mandatory enough. Tera water helps a lot against Iron Moth;
- Keldeo-R: This mon is actually quite good. Sure, it struggles a bit against Dragapult, Dragonite and Toxapex, but it has a fairly good matchup against this metagame. It matches fairly well against Glimmora, Samurott-H, Gliscor, Landorus-T, Kingambit and many other mons in OU. Secret Sword hitting the physical defensive side allows it to cut through Blissey if it's sufficiently chipped enough. It is also used to deal with Waterpons that don't run Play Rough or Grass moves. Hazard Chip + Secret Sword on switch-in Pon allows Keldeo to finish it with a Vaccuum Wave. Tera water pushes more damage from it, especially against stall.
- Meowscarada: Knock Off, fast enough U-Turn and Triple Axel are all good moves into the metagame. Grass typing allows Meowscarada to come in once against Water Ivy Crudgel from Waterpon. Fast U-Turn allows it to pivot out, or even OHKO Waterpon after chips. Meowscarada is especially helpful against stall, as it threatens Gliscor to either switch out or push the tera button, which eases a lot against such matchup.
- Gliscor: It forms a great pair with Tinkaton. Gliscor helps setting up Spikes, pressuring Tusk with Toxic and can deal with Iron Moth with Sp Def investment. Gliscor is, overall, one of the best Pokemon in SV OU (or even the most notorious) for that matter.
- Moltres: Moltres is solid defensively. It can be a stop check against some of the biggest physical mons in the tier like Physical Valiant, Zamazenta, Kingambit, BU Great Tusk. It can also annoys Dragonite if it attempts to use Ice Spinner on Gliscor. Moltres' type combination is also helpful against Enamorus unless it goes tera Stella. Roar helps against set-up sweepers and racks up damage with hazards, while U-Turn helps keeping the momentum.
- Kingambit: Kingambit is Kingambit. I run max speed and max attack to gain as much speed as possible against most defensive walls. Air Balloon is such a valuable item on Gambit, as it allows Gambit to take on Roaring Moon without tera Fire or Brick Break, sets up against Gliscor without Knock Off and non-CC Tusk. Tera Flying also gives Gambit a chance to deal a lot of damage against Zamazenta, while avoiding Spikes damage in the late game.
IV. Weaknesses
- Waterpon: This team still definitely has a lot of problems against Waterpon, especially when I still have to scout for its set before deciding the course of action.
- Kyurem: Kyurem can usually come up, wreck a lot of havoc on my team and then leave. SubTect set can freeze Moltres attempting to roar, while Dragon Dance set is extremely lethal because my team doesn't have the best bulk to deal with it.
- Darkrai: Being able to outspeed all of my team is scary. Tinka is usually the stop against Lead Krai, but a lot of times things are much harder to deal with after it sets up.
