They take care of the forest, Woodite feeds on dead wood and broken branches, Manteaf keeps an eye on possible threats and Fasmiwood helps new trees grow to expand the forest.
The Fire starter line Smice, Ratevil and Burstrat they are Fire/Dark, kind of inspired by Cyndaquil? Just my take on an actual rat fire starter that just get bigger.

Burstrat's body heat up while fighting, its hair gets covered by flames and direct contact with their claws can easily burn the opponent. They release some of that energy to make explosion with their claws.
The Water starter line Doplash, Makid and Merdolph, goes from pure Water to Water/Psychic, a Dolphin that goes back to land.
Flavor text:
It seems like human contact had a big impact on this species, as they have evolved over time to live closer to people and learn from them. Some believe they use the acquired knowledge to build their own cities under the sea.
Normal guys:
Mop and Mopper, they are Normal and Normal/Water, a komondor that cleans your floor while playing.
Puptwin and Duog, Normal Type, the heads always compete with each other for food, despite sharing a stomach and feeling full at the same time.
Pickynest and Vulcdor, Normal and Normal/Fire, they nest near places where trainers typically pass, as taking care of their young seems like too much work for them.

Warcon and Istrebitel, Normal/Flying and Fighting/Flying, while not the faster flyer they are some of the bravest, they fear nothing and never give up, they are also highly territorial so be careful with what you do near them.
Princeguin and Kinguin, Ice/Flying, Kinguin are self-centered creatures and the leader doesn't really care about the other members of the colony, it seems like the only reason they even live in groups is that deep down they know they lack the strength to survive by their own.
Birnal and Yeagle, Normal/Flying, their original habitat disappeared as modern cities expanded, but they adapted quickly and took the appearance of transit signals to trick dumb people at night. Yeagle are smart and fantastic at imitating sounds, they may sound like an alarm and then switch to a human voice, this ability allow them to trick people into doing what they want.
Scalpick, Roostlax and Eagatrice, Flying/Dragon, Eagatrice look after their childs until they reach their final evolution, Scalpick is joyful and never stop moving, meanwhile Roostlax loves to sleep all day.
Bask and Peayes, Dark/Flying, the natives had a myth about a giant monster that would appear at night, but it turned out to be just Bask using their wings to look bigger and scare threats. Peayes pursue its prey all night if necesary, if the prey hides it will eventually fall victim of Peayes curse and fall asleep, allowing Peayes to enter its dreams and deal the final blow. It is said that their beautiful feathers are cursed and using them as ornament will give you nightmares until its returned to were it was optained.
Spooky:
Puppessum and Grimssum, Dark and Dark/Ghost, don't let them trick you, the big body is just a doll made with hair, 5 Puppessum control the hairy puppet, upon evolving they use their dark ghostly powers to make a new version of the puppet using shadows!
Grag and Kimokus, Poison/Ghost, in this region there is quite popular fairy tail about a princess, that had her most beutiful dress ruined by a dumb guard that used it to clean his nose, after trying everything to clean the dress with no result, the power of her love give the dress live, and even that failed to clean the dress.
Likaba and Sucabra, Psychic and Psychic/Flying, farmers are forced to guard all night, as this creatures infiltrates into their farms and suck the energy from everyone who is sleeping. If they suck their energy you may need to sleep for two whole days to recover.
Yufo and Spavader, Psychic/Steel, discovered around 80 years ago, when the weird liquid metal found in a metorite took life. Seems to be able to communicate telepathically with other members of their species regardless of the distance. At night, when the skies are clear and stars are visible, the Spavader point with their fingers at a certain star at the other side of the Milky Way, and with a sad face they try to speak.
Ghoca, Ghost/Psychic, they scratch their spectral sphere to relax, if a person scratch the spectral sphere they will have bad dreams at night seeing everything bad that will happen to them in the near future, it is said that you can prevent this bad future by brinding milk to Ghoca at exactly 3 A.M.
Abomigo, Dark/Ice, they visit the towns at night looking for food, if they find your door or a windown open they may eat everything on your fridge and steal some blankets.
Toknight, Ghost/Steel, they took the form of a failed toy from a company that went bankrupt decades ago, some say they are the sad spirits of all those toys that never got a chance to play.
Shahood and Karakasa, Ghost/Dark, they are living shadows and are able to take any form that isn't much bigger than them, but this ability is mostly used to play pranks on people.
Theri and Theriscyno, Dark/Steel, this shy creature tries to look scary to keep predators away, when going to the lake to drink they sometimes get scared of their own reflection. They can make very irritating sounds with their claws.
Grass Types:
Melops, Harvetops and Pentamelop, goes from Grass to Grass/Steel, originally revived from the few fossils found decades ago, they quickly adapted to the modern world and become a new species as the current generations no longer look like those restored from fossils.
Seerd, Evialden and Ostranch, goes from Grass to Grass/Dark, they always have food available, as the seeds from the berries they eat move from inside their bodies to their branches, and with enough water and sunlight, grow into new berries.
Higarden and Unimount, Grass and Grass/Ice, Unimount while big, the fossils of their ancestors show that some generations ago they could become as tall as a small mountain. Their backs are so cold that the air gets frozen and snow is summoned.
Kibaion and Kibasol, Grass and Grass/Fire, to no longer compete for food they developed the ability to feed on sunlight, they had to become much smaller to sustain like that, so the only thing left from their ancestors is the head. Pokémon centers offer plant pots to Kibaion trainers, as they are needed for Kibasol to stay relaxed, they won't accept any order from their trainer without a proper pot, better be prepared for that evolution.
Cabbit and Haresprout, Grass/Ground, Cabbit checks if there is good soil using its sensitive legs, then take a nap underground while absorbing nutrients. Haresprout are great farmers and are often seen taking care of potatoes, tomatoes, carrots and cucumbers and have become popular scarecrows.

Grichick and Grileo, Fire/Electric, they live at the top of the mountains where few can reach, to hunt they jump to the ground with lightning speed and beat their prey with a surprise attack.
Crimske, Snagant and Zhulong, goes from Fire to Fire/Dragon, Crimske has more power than what it can handle, its tail is constantly burning, but grow faster than it burns. Zhulong was believed to be only a legend until a nest was found, the help of Pokémon breeders let the population of the newly discovered Crismke grow exponentially.
Thermaque and Thermandril, Ice/Fire, they spend most of the day on thermal waters. Their body heat melts the Ice in their hair, don't touch the water on their heads as it is boiling.
Capowt and Capoedar, Fighting/Fire, they move all day and enjoy dancing. Capowt loves to imitate humans, plenty of videos on social media has a Capowt in the background doing the exact same movements the humans are doing.
Coayena and Pherosmoke, Fire/Poison, only the females can evolve. It seems like the smokes that emanates from their body is stronger on the females, and has the effect to hypnotist males.
Timk and Dynabite, Bug/Fire, they feed on the life force of other species, they become bigger as they absorb energy and if it is too much they are forced to use Explosion, to prevent this they burn as much energy as possible, literally.
Cowpy, Cowork and Barbecow, goes from Fire to Fire/Ground, it was hunted until near extinction for their meat by old generations. It seems like they evolved to taste worse, as their skin is now like coal and consuming it cause food poisoning.
Laveel, Water/Fire, they are commonly found near hydrothermal vents deep in the ocean, but some have been appearing in the underground river that connects most natural thermal waters in the region, increasing the temperature of the water. Their lower half burst into flames in contact with air.
Water Types:
Debi and Deecrust, Water and Water/Dragon, the weak and small Debi aren't good fighters, so they stay together in big groups of over 500 members. Deecrust stay still pretending to be a rock until a prey get close, and then crush it with its powerful jaws.
Flysh, Seaplane and Airpier, Water/Flying, they don't care about staying all day on swimming or flying, they are perfectly adapted to both lifestyles and can go for weeks without the need to rest. Airpier always fights fair and never says no to a challenge.
Chillma, Wintbear and Evergrowl, Water/Ice, they are friendly with people, during the snow season Wintbear they guard the towns and Evergrowl search for lost people.
Pasuragu and Grussgu, Water/Grass, they enjoy water too much, when it rains the joy they experiment make them travel long distances without even noticing, and have to do twice the effort to return to the river once the rain is over.
Nerdium and Smartish, Water and Water/Psychic, Nerdium always try to learn something new, with enough effort it can even learn to read any language.
Tumbna and Plesioskul, Water/Ghost, they seem to come from the deepest areas of the ocean, is believed to be the remains of a powerful species that governed our sea thousands of years ago.
Moclaw and Jawlusk, Water and Water/Dark, they live on clusters of Corsola and protect this home for predators, while they seem to enjoy the taste of Corsola's branches, they don't attack them and only eat the branches that naturally fell.
Octovase and Cthulhurn, Water/Ground, they cover their bodies with mud that mixed with their fluids become a strong shell. There are multiple old sea tales about a giant Cthulhurn that could mind control people, but seems to be no more than multiple versions of the same myth.
Hoorel and Baishark, Water/Steel, they use their sharp tails to catch prey, once hooked is impossible to break free without suffering heavy damage.
Bug Types:
Spiball and Scopiball, Bug/Dark, they hide underground leaving only their tails visible, waiting for rookie trainers to get close to steal all their food.
Tigle and Biitora, Bug and Bug/Normal, Tigle sleeps underground until is big enough to evolve, only wakes up when it is time to eat. Biitora can move faster than a sports car, if it ever crashes at high speed its thick hair will protect it from the impact.
Weaworm (Bug), Lilfly (Bug/Flying) and Koafly (Bug/Fighting), the weak Weaworms are inspired by the Koafly protecting them to one day become great heroes.
Buroach, Bugler (Male only) and Roamai (Female only), Bug/Psychic, they are at the service of the strongest Pokémon in the area. Often seen in restaurants and hotels working in the kitchen or cleaning the rooms, their psychic powers are useful to carry food to the customers without touching it.
Hairpu and Sockorm, Bug/Poison, Hairpu loves dirty places, bad kids that don't clean their room find them inside their socks!
Wospark and Ravesp, Bug/Electric, they can communicate with each other using electrical signals, apparently this also allows them to listen to the radio or watch TV inside their heads at will among other uses.
Lacorn and Antney, Bug/Fairy, some kids love their sweet honey, but is too sweet for most people, eating too much may prevent you from being able to taste anything else for a week. Lacorn and Gnodog are often seen playing together, sometimes you see them at night asking for candies.
Tamantula and Spideth, Bug/Poison, their venom can melt steel, their thread can resist a car impact and their hair makes you feel itchy for a year! or that what people used to believe, but only the second statement is true. This friendly creature lives in the forest and use its thread to store berries for winter, those berries last for months as long as they stay completly covered by the thread.
Pokémon are terrifying creatures!
Freezegon, Snoak and Coldrake, Dragon/Ice, it is said that if summer last for too long, Coldrake appears and with a single attack it freeze the whole mountain where they live.
Voltcro, Wirechomp and Thungator, Electric/Dragon, Voltcro gets tired easily and has to take sun baths regularly to recharge energy, can sleep for years waiting for sunlight or a direct source of electricity. After receiving sunlight for a hour Thungator can generate and store enough energy to illuminate a big city for a whole year.
Neuro and Brancell, Psychic/Electric, while dumb by themselves, the closer they get the smarter they become, and the more they are the bigger the effect, and it seems that after a certain number of them gather together they become a hivemind, but capturing or defeating one member of the hivemind seems enough to shut down the whole thing leaving them confused in the ground. The same hivemind can't appear a second time, as after failing once the members can't connect again.
Stontler and Balatone, Rock-type, the way they balance rocks over their body can only be explained by some kind of control over gravity. Balatone seems impossible to beat in the desert, as they fix their bodies with the sand around them, their gravity prevent the new pieces from falling until they fully become part of their bodies.
Paramer and Toolsaur, Steel/Dragon, they break rocks with their heads until they find minerals with good "taste", as they can easily digest rocks and regular Pokémon food. At least a third of the caves found so far in the region were made by them.
Toxtaur and Venotauro, Poison/Fighting, their toxic blood power-up their muscles. There is nothing they love more than fights, in the wild they attack each other with their poisonous horns to power-up the opponent and make the fight more intense even if the effect is small, while this usually has the opposite effect on other species, if they find an opponent like Zangoose or Machamp that can make better use of the poison than themselves they start crying of joy.
Possit and Frogassin, Poison/Dark, the natives believe that Possit brings dead with their songs, entering their territory is forbidden without something to cover your ears. Frogassin lives in the forest and hide in the trees while hunting, jumping between branches in complete silence, this ability allow them to ambush anyone without extrasensory abilities.
Orvenom, Poison/Dark, this tricky Pokémon is an expert at stealing food, if you find leaves on your bag instead of your lunch is because they switched them without you noticing. They hide a venomous spike between their fingers, is their last resort for when their regular tricks fail.
Pokémon are our friends!
Scarferret and Lovefume, Fairy and Fairy/Poison, they are popular pets, as they are clean and smell nice. A quite popular perfume is made with Lovefume venom.
Smolle and Molvel, Ground/Ice, they usually live in snowy areas but global warming has forced them to move underground and are often seen in cold caves.
Psyguana and Forguana, Dragon/Psychic, a symbol of good fortune, they can predict the future and only live on places with a bright future, and leave right before disarter comes.
Mousse and Donter, Fairy-Type, they love sugar, no matter how many desserts Donter eats, it always feels like there is a hole on its stomach!
Helmdillo and Rescurer, Ground/Electric, they help on all kind of dangerous jobs, mainly seen on mines, keeping the deepest areas bright and safe.
Gnodog and Dressog, Ground/Fairy, Gnodog don't like to be seen nude and collect clothes from the trash, no one has ever seen one in the wild that wasn't wearing something. Dressog fused with its clothes upon evolving. They loves Antney's honey, so they help Lacorn at gathering food for Antney, while also serving as guards.
Rack and Mountse, Rock/Ground, they were first discovered in a coal mine that eventually become a Rack farm, as Rack's droppings are almost exactly like coal, and it turns out there was no coal on those mines.
Fossils:
Ankylonite and Champkylo, Rock/Fighting, they seem to be among the first Pokémon to use tools thousands of years ago, as they used the rocks they carried with their tails as hammers.
Sbusho and Pangearth, Rock/Grass, pretended to be a plant to hide from predators but would often be bitten by other herbivores. The tail evolved into a second head and eventually took over.
Slomoss and Milomoss, Rock/Grass, they got used to the easy life and barely moved, become extinct soon after new predators appeared in the area at the beginning of the ice age.
Rampeck and Terroccer, Rock/Fighting, Terroccer was able to lay heavy and massive empty eggs to use as weapon, even the males could lay those eggs. They also used the eggs to play like they were soccer balls.
Tifrost and Smilofrost, Rock/Ice, the apex predator during the coldest period of time this region ever had, while traces of their bites have been found everywhere, it doesn't seem like their big fangs ever suffered damage.
Cross Gen Evolutions:
Luviu, Water/Fairy, the unique species that live on this region had small effects on its water, causing small mutations on some Luvdisc giving their scales a small but cute deformation, we call them "Lovely Scales", those scales fall after some time and are replaced by regular Heart Scales. If a Luvdisc eats a Lovely Scale it will evolve into Luvyou. Luvyou swims near the coast during summer and have become a tourist attraction as they love to play with people and rescue anyone who is drowning.
Shucklony, Bug/Rock, the Shuckle have adopted some herbs unique to this region on their diets, because of them their shells have become bigger but slightly frailer, to stay protected and make use of the extra space, the Shuckle evolve dividing itself in four.
Dreamer, Psychic/Fighting, as Hypno and Drowzee were easy for Peayes, they had to learn to hypnotize their own minds to unlock their full potential, now no Pokémon can enter their dreams. Dreamer seems unable to wake up, despite that they can move their body with more freedom than Hypno. The Dream Mist that comes out of their arms allow them to bring power from the Dream World.
Nohtyp, Poison/Ground, as the desert become bigger, Arbok's territory become smaller, and had to evolve in a way that allowed it to survive in this hotter weather. It not only replaced its old skin, it grew new bones, leaving some of the old bones exposed to use as armor and camouflage.
Legendary:
Skyradise, Flying-Type, there is a legends about an old civilization that used to live up in the sky, at the top of a giant Pokémon bigger than this region, until their constructions went deep enough to actually hurt the creature, the pain forced it to use its ability to leave this realm in a blink, abandoning the people in the middle of the ocean, the survivors were the first humans to live on this region.
