Justification: Fishing Terrain has caused token generation to become out of control with very little input on the users side. Combined with the increased token gain, the water boost and fishing moves boost compounded to make Fishing Minigame an insane 162 BP move that also traps the opponent. The power of the terrain makes it hard to balance new Fishing moves around it without either being useless without the terrain or busted within it. The power decrease should help with that while also bringing it in line with the other terrains. The token gain being moved to needing to use a move should help with the insane token generation.

I still intend on Lemon (the mon) being the only mon that can summon Acid Rain with an ability, so I didn’t want to gut the weather too hard. I brought the chip down to 1/16th as suggested by Tanny, and I also changed it so instead of depleting Fishing Tokens, it only blocks more from being added to either side. I also added move interactions because I forgot to do so initially. Twice. I still consider this to be a nerf overall, as these move interactions are very niche, I just added them to make Acid Rain more consistent with the vanilla weathers.

Justification: POG was so unfathomably broken that it somehow managed to cause an effectively 180 BP move with an 80-ish% chance to flinch on a mon with 133 speed to fall under the radar. Granted, said 180 BP move is coming off of a mon with 50 base attack, but when you’re clicking a move with an 80% chance to flinch, does it really matter? I still don’t like Togedemaru from a conceptual standpoint, relying on paraflinch strategies to make progress, but with 50 attack and its STAB moves being only 80 base power, I feel that there will be enough counterplay to keep Toge in check.

I might make a third submission, but I’ve been really busy with school lately and I also have no ideas at the moment. I also don’t have much insight on the current metagame, having only seen replays from other people, so uhh yeah. Also I will be voting for BIG ASHLEY during the Slate 8 election.

I am hear on behalf of the Iron Fistlandia Departed Leaders Union with our balance changes.

The changes are as follows:
- plusle & minun! loose access to Super Fang and Seismic Toss
- Chocolate Kiss now has a 10% chance to lower the target's Spe by 1 and makes contact.
- Deez NUts now has a fling bp of 200 instead of 280.

Not a super major nerf but we felt that Chocolate Kiss is in need of some tweaks. Chocolate Kiss normally has a 70% chance to lower the target's Speed which is way too high for such a good move aside from the effect. Dropping the chance down to 10% makes it much less impactful despite it being not very impactful to begin with. It also makes contact now, allowing Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs Togedemaru to be more effective at punishing the move.

I still consider this to be a nerf overall, as these move interactions are very niche, I just added them to make Acid Rain more consistent with the vanilla weathers.
Rather than having it block token generation, make it so every time a number of tokens are removed from a player's side, an additional token is removed

Slate results are out and can be found on this sheet! Overall, great steps have been taken towards balance, including toning down some of the more problematic elements of the metagame while buffing some underutilized options. A great slate that gets us closer to a genuinely good metagame despite the chaotic nature of this mod. Tour when? As her reign comes to an end, a poll will be posted on the Discord to vote on her inclusion in the leader's union.

She has chosen Copen as her successor, for her second run at the Supreme Leadership! Similarly to last slate, we're going to get a few days off to discuss changes and give time for coding to be done, so that playtesting can be done for the new slate. We have a real push to achieve a balanced metagame--can we push for a PMPL slot? :worrywhirl:probably not
 
After a short break, we're back for Slate 8 campaigning! Your candidates are:

Copen, the nominee of the previous supreme leader. She's been a large factor in playtesting for the mod so far and has passed 10/13 of her bills so far, a great performance, with an emphasis on new additions to the metagame and balancing existing options. She was nominated once before, losing to Beaf Cultist, but can she do it this time?

Her two opponents are:

anaconja, who needs no introduction. He's been the mod's coder for its duration and has been very important to Iron Fist history because of it. He's been a diverse politician, but overall he has historically focused on with metagame health and new options. He's passed 14/21 of his bills, which is a pretty respectable ratio all things considered. This is his first nomination.

Dragonslayerz, our resident historian. Starting a career as a lobbyist for the fishing industry, she has since diversified and reached across the aisle on several issues. She's passed 9/18 of their bills. This is their first nomination.

The candidates will have at least 24 hours to make their speeches before the election begins. ana or catra: if you do not want to be SL, let me know ASAP and I will substitute you out. Good luck to our aspiring Supreme Leaders!
