After a long, gruelling wait following my finals, the results are live on the sheet! Lots of balancing this slate (mostly buffs but a few nerfs), along with some interesting new options such as Skibidragon and Fudgesaur, along with the debut of Iron Fist Doubles! Can't wait to see the single game of that played sometime in March.
anaconja has chosen Chlorella vulgaris has his successor. We're going to have a brief cooldown period to let anaconja code and let the people playtest. In addition, following three straight slates with an emphasis on balance, I'm going to send out a poll regarding how we want to handle the Iron Fist playtesting tour! Here is a Google form asking a couple questions on that matter, please fill it out so we can decide.

Welcome back Iron Fisters! I hope you all had a good holiday. It's time for the Slate 9 campaigning stage! Your candidates are:
woo, chosen by the great anaconja himself, and Pet Mods moderator. He has had a humble career in Iron Fist, going 5/10 on legislation passed. He has been a big lobbyist of the Brainrot movement, adding Gholdengo into the metagame along with Mewing. He also gave us a very known Pokemon from the competitive angle in Impidimp-Mega.
His challengers are:
Loginator, who has had a good career in legislation, going 12/20. He's had several contributions to the metagame, most notably the variety of cacoons that are present in the tier. He's also help flesh out both new typings by giving us Hydralemon and Pie Blast. He's also the one who gave us the gift of Ronald Reagan.
JoltSmash, who needs no introduction. He's had a solid career as well, going 12/21 on submissions throughout Iron Fist history, along with giving us the same Eggman meme every Monday. He is most known as a lobbyist for being the one who saved us from the Wheel of Doom by proposing Jirachitwo's sacrifice, a selfless act that will not be forgotten.

Competitive Description: Special wall guy. Has Slack Off and Bon Appetit for reliable recovery, Cloud Nine can also be an option to shut down weather archetypes. Adjustment: Fish Hook
Description: Effect is changed to "Gives the user's moves a Pursuit-like effect (if the target chooses to switch out, hits anyway before they switch) against a Water-type or Fish target, or if Fishing Terrain is active". Announced on switch-in, with the message "[user] casts their Fish Hook!"
Justification: Fish Hook is dumb right? Like it's a little funny but it's dumb - a trapping effect this splashable will never be healthy, even if you aren't allowed to hit the target super-effectively (which you can circumvent with Freeze-Dry, by the way). This new effect, although still potent in locking down Water and Fish mons, has some degree of counterplay, such as a slow pivoting move or a good predict. The item revealing itself when switching in helps reduce the matchup fish/suprise factor of its effect. The effect w/ fishing terrain also helps with the mu fish aspect by giving the item an activation that doesn't rely on the opponent's team comp, in addition to buffing an undersupported field effect.
