Then sweep? Any thoughts, really? I am not too sure how the Iron Ball will work like this. It just seems odd that I haven't seen it anywhere. Could it work with other Pokemon as well?
 
The Iron Ball lowers your speed and makes Flying/Levitators vulnerable to Ground attacks. That means an Aerodactyl with Iron ball could be hit by EQ. It doesn't mean that a Metagross with Iron Ball could hit Aerodactyl with EQ. Sorry.
 
Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification. I guess that's pretty much the most useless hold item, then. :P
 
Yeah...for the mostpart. But if you can Trick it onto something like Aerodactyl, it's pretty hilarious. :)
 
It's useful with Fling, as Iron Ball is the most powerful thing you can Fling at an opponent. (130 BP)

You could also Trick an Iron Ball onto something, too.

The point is, it's not completely useless.
 
I like the idea of holding an Iron Ball on a Pokemon with Fling, and using it with Trick Room. Iron Ball means you'll have low Speed, which is good for Trick Room, and when the Trick Room ends, you can just Fling the Iron Ball away and you can still be faster than stuff.
 
Slutbunni with some iron balls is pretty good. Not good for throwing them, but if you wanna trick some balls on to other pokes, she's the one to do it.

Perhaps Tyranitar for the Trick Room? Fling is a Dark type move, so I assume he gains STAB on it making it a massive 195BP attack. The only downside is, that even after disposing of the Iron Ball, his speed is still pretty poor. I just liked the idea of 195BP coming from 400 attack. :naughty:
 
If you could manage to Trick an Iron Ball onto Skarmory it would be devastating. The problem is getting Skarm to stay in against something that can learn Trick.

OR you could keep the Speed, use a Life Orb or Choice Band, and then do MORE damage with Meteor Mash

Edit: Not to mention Meteor Mash has twice as much PP.
 
This thread is now about Trick, Fling, and Iron Ball. Now I like Obi's idea, but Slutbunny is still the best way to go for using Iron Ball.
