Groudon @ Choice Band
Ability: Drought
EVs: 236 HP/232 Atk/40 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Shadow Claw
- Fire Punch
Decided to drop Stone Edge after some playing since the only thing it hits is Ho-Oh. Shadow Claw is better for Lugia since it can't be Roosted and it 2HKO's. Dragon Claw is there mainly for Rayquaza and Fire Punch for levitating steels (Skarmory and Bronzong, mainly, also for the OHKO on Forry, not like it matters...).
Metagross @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Bullet Punch
Second Choice Bander and a really good one :]
Remedys most of my weaks and handles Deoxys to an extent.
You all know what it can do.
Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 128 HP/128 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Overheat
Fire Blast on the sun will barely 2HKO Blissey. I wanted to have HP Electric somewhere for Kyogre and Ho-Oh, but I've found that having two fire moves is a must vs all this Pressure Ubers.
If I ever come on a Giratina WoW something is mostly like going to die :)
Machamp (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
- Close Combat
- Sleep Talk
Lol, Machamp in ubers.
Darkrai 'counter'. Since most of my team threatens Darkrai it'll Dark Void first almost always, instead of setting a Substitute or something, so Machamp is pretty much a safe switch. LO Focus Blast has a chance of 2HKOing, but almost always will 3HKO.
Don't say it sucks, it's such an awesome pokemon :]
Ice Punch will 3HKO random Giratinas and 2HKO if I absorb their WoW.
Lugia is pretty much the only thing in ubers safe vs this thing.
Deoxys-f @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Superpower
- Extremespeed
Choice Band Deoxys is an amazing pokemon.
Dialga @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 144 Atk/112 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Brick Break
- Draco Meteor
- Thunder
- Fire Blast
Decided to go with some Speed.. Outspeeding most other Dialga is pretty cool, and also those slow Kyogres etc.
Standard Wall Breaker, I just hate when I have to face a Lugia on the sun :( But then Heatran/Metagross should handle that.
My only non choice user and
I'd like to keep it that way :B
Threat List
THIS LIST DOES NOT HAVE 'COUNTERS' TO ALL POKEMONS, IT'S JUST THE WAY I HANDLE IT.
THIS IS A VERY OFFENSIVE TEAM AND OBVIOUSLY CAN'T COUNTER EVERYTHING.
Deoxys-A: Metagross is the main counter. Even with such an offensive team, everything can take one hit from it.
Deoxys-D: I hate it's Knock Off! Doesn't pose such a threat with 3 steels around, and even with his godlike defenses, almost everything will 2HKO.
Dialga: Restalk BU Versions are countered by Heatran or Metagross. Mix Dialga is a bitch, but its handled decently by a combination of Heatran, Metagross and Groudon.
Giratina: Heatran will win one-on-one 100% of the time, Machamp can absorb a WoW and 2HKO with Ice Punch. Groudon CB EQ and Meta CB MM both 3HKO. Deoxys will also 2HKO with Ice Punch, but can't switch in. Dialga can Draco Meteor it.
Groudon: Means trouble. Especially CB versions as I just can't switch on Earthquake. Will be using mainly my own Groundon and hoping for revenge kills. When I see a groudon, I just don't switch out, because one turn of set up means I'm fucked am about my whole team can hit it hard.
Ho-Oh: Haven't seen one :/ I do think I'm pretty weak to it but I don't know how I would handle since no one seems to use it..
Kyogre: Having sun helps me, main reason I lead with Groudon. Dialga can take on it, kinda. Specs Versions are scary, however, it's nothing that can't be handled.
Latias: Metagross mainly, hitting it on the switch with Groudon/Machamp. Deoxys can eventually revenge kill it.
Latios: See Latias.
Lugia: Heatran is my main counter. Specs Overheat generally OHKO's. Calm Mind or Light Screen versions are annoying, but they just can't hurt anything...
Manaphy: Not a problem at all. Dialga/Groudon should handle it.
Mewtwo: Metagross is a good first switch-in. Deoxys might eventually have to revenge kill it, simple unpredictable, but workable after I scout it's set.
Palkia: Groudon can take on Mixed Versions as long as it stays alway from Draco Meteors. I have nothing to really absorb those Meteors, but Heatran/Gross can work once.
Rayquaza: Main switch is Groudon, who can take a DD'd Outrage and OHKO back. If it switches on Groudon CB EQ, things get complicated and I generally have to revenge kill it with Deoxys after I lock it on Outrage (Groudon forces it to Outrage so I won't be Extremespeeded).
Tyranitar: Groudon/Metagross/Machamp. Doesn't give me trouble and my whole team can hit it hard.
Skarmory: The only member without a fire move is Metagross and Skarm doesn't really enjoy taking CB MMashes.
Scizor: It could, eventually, revenge kill Deoxys, but thats the most it ever do.
Metagross: Between my own Metagross, Heatran and Groudon, I'm actually safe vs this.
Kingdra: Honestly, it's not even that good. 95 base Atk/SAtk is really low even with Rain boost. Groudon can switch decently. Dialga can take on it.
Garchomp: Groudon is a decent switch and can OHKO it. Not sure why ppl would use it anyway.
Forretress: There's huh.. nothing it can set up on. Even if it's out against Gross, I'll just MMash anyway.
Blissey: Honestly, my team laughs on this. Machamp is a great switch in and after I know if it TWaves or Toxics I can go to Metagross/Groudon also. Specs Fire Blast on sun has a chance of 2HKOing it.
Wobbuffet: It's huh 2HKO'd by everything.. not much I can do.
