Ogerpon-Cornerstone (F) @ Cornerstone Mask
Ability: Sturdy
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ivy Cudgel
- Horn Leech
- Stomping Tantrum
I was feeling an Ogerpon C vibe so I just decided to build around it, standard SD set, OHKOS most mons with an SD and some chip, and only has to worry about a couple of mons that outspeed it, like Meow, Gren, and Torn although sturdy can allow it to 1v1 them if I need to if I can keep hazards off. I ran horn leech over power whip because I will shoot my computer if I miss, and probably lose the game as a result.
Cobalion @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Justified
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Body Press
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
I find Cobalion is very good at dealing with a lot of pokemon that would normally come in to revenge kill Ogerpon, with it being able to easily shrug off most priority and threaten back with a body press or twave. Twave also has the added benefit of slowing mons down that would normally outspeed Ogerpon, completely flipping the matchup in her favor. Hes also a very nice pivot, allowing me to keep up momentum. Tera flying is for mons like Excadrill with a speed boost, other Cobalion, or just any general fighting types who might like a press and kill me back, such as Conkeldurr.
Tornadus-Therian @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 64 SpD / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bleakwind Storm
- Taunt
- Knock Off
- U-turn
Obligatory Tornadus, phenomenal pivot, taunt helps immensely against any sort of stall team and he just keeps regenning it all back so they really cant threaten him at all, it also really helps against setup sweepers like CM Keldeo or Sinistchia or some other low ladder bs. Knock off lets me get rid of boots so I can start chipping them down, and is just generally great utility. Tera dragon is largely to help with Thundurus, who I noticed was really threatening. The general plan is to stay in on it, outspeed and knock off its boosts so it can get chipped down by rocks.
Slowking @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Chilly Reception
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Thunder Wave
Slowking is the teams defensive check to most special attackers like Latios or Keldeo, while also being a phenomenal pivot. Chilly reception is near guaranteed to go last, letting me consistently get in my Ogerpon safely. The thunder wave utility is also highly valueable, once again slowing down certain mons that would outrun my Ogerpon. Scald burn fishing is very nice, and future sight pressure is very helpful when breaking down certain mons or forcing switches to certain pokemon.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 168 SpD / 88 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
Rotom is primarily here as a pivot that can threaten flying types that would wall Excadrill or just narrowly dodge an OHKO from Ogerpon. Thunderwave is particularly valuable here because Rotom can defensively take on Greninja, so its my best option to slow it down, as well as being very helpful with any flying type but Tornadus in particular. Its also a very nice secondary check to Scizor who could easily come in and revenge kill Ogerpon. The hydro pump combination allows for many situations where I can force 50/50s between a ground type and a water resist, where if Im wrong its not that big of a deal, but if Im right I get huge damage on their ground type or I retain offensive momentum, and once their ground type is dead I can just start wearing their team down with volt switch.
Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
I mostly just needed this guy as a rapid spinner, but the ground typing is also very helpful to ensure Thundurus cant just volt switch on my whole team for free. Its also very nice against steel types that would normally be able to take on Ogerpons stab combo, and if it gets a rapid spin off can be a great late game cleaner. Tera ghost is to get out of a fighting and ground weakness, usually giving me a free turn to set up on something and basically just win the game on the spot if they dont have a Skarmory or Mandibuzz.
