[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its massive Attack stat, decent Speed, and priority move in First Impression, Haxorus performs the role of a fearsome wallbreaker for Dragon-type teams. STAB Outrage is the strongest move on the set, allowing it to deal massive amounts of damage to neutral targets, breaking past Pokemon such as Toxapex, Hippowdon, and Mandibuzz. First Impression allows Haxorus to revenge kill Cloyster after Shell Smash, eliminating a huge threat to Dragon-type teams, as well as Pokemon like Choice Scarf Gardevoir, Alolan Raichu, and Barraskewda. However, it must be used cautiously; it can take away momentum from the team because Haxorus is forced to switch out after using it. Earthquake in conjunction with Mold Breaker allows Haxorus to easily beat Pokemon such as Mimikyu and Galarian Weezing, as Mold Breaker ignores Disguise and Levitate. Close Combat is great to hit Pokemon like Snorlax, Tyranitar, Cloyster, and Ferrothorn for super effective damage. Iron Tail can also be used to hit Fairy-type Pokemon like Clefable, Grimmsnarl, and Mimikyu more reliably. Due to its mediocre defenses, its best to not switch Haxorus in against attacks from Pokemon; it should be brought after a teammate faints, smart double switching, and U-turn.
Choice Scarf users like Dragapult and Duraludon appreciates Haxorus's wallbreaking potential, letting the aforementioned Pokemon clean teams late-game more effectively. Dragapult, in particular, does great against opposing Dragon-type teams and can take on common Choice Scarf users like Gardevoir and Charizard, whereas Duraludon can deal with Fairy- and Ice-type Pokemon such as Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales. Stealth Rock users like Kommo-o and Duraludon are appreciated by Haxorus, as the chip damage allows it to score easier KOs with First Impression against Pokemon like Gardevoir, Galarian Darmanitan, and Barraskewda. Conversely, Kommo-o and Noivern are both great at keeping opposing entry hazards away with Taunt. Noivern also provides U-turn support so that Haxorus can get more opportunities to wallbreak. Kyurem-B is a great setup sweeper that complements Haxorus, and with First Impression, it can take care of faster Pokemon like Alolan Raichu, Choice Scarf Weavile, and Barraskewda under rain so that Kyurem-B can sweep easier. Hydreigon forms a great wallbreaking core with Haxorus, beating each other's checks and counters; Hydreigon can beat Galarian Corsola and Mew, while Haxorus can take care of Snorlax and Tyranitar.
