Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Hackmons Premier League, the team tournament that showcases what the best Hackmons players have to offer!
- Roster and Schedule | Standings (Records) | Replays | Commencement -

Scheduling is up to the individual players, though managers can be contacted for any sort of problem (opponent ghosting, impossiblity to play, or anything else). If your opponent is missing, the activity timer can be started by your manager pinging the opposing managers in the manager chat, and by pinging the entire oponent team in the missing player chat in the HPL I server. This allows for a substitution to be arranged feasibly.
Please schedule through posts on your own or your opponent's Smogon wall, so activity calls are easy to solve (you can schedule somewhere else e.g. Discord and make it official on Smogon wall).
Respect general rules of conduct and tournament rules stated here.
If a substitution is made, tag both hosts (BoingK Test Rex), the opposing managing team (both), the opposing player, the player getting subbed in, and the player getting subbed out. Players that are subbed out may not be subbed back in the same week.
Replays are mandatory for the wins to count.

Hellooo. Last week predicts by Mr.ChatGPT were 21-8 (missing battle was a sub-out sub-in one) which puts him at a 72.4% prediction rate........ against my personal 46.6% from week 1.....................

Ima ignore this fact for my mental health and try to make the best predicts of my own, as I now think I have enough of a sample to make proper good predicts, watch me go 100%.

SV: Quantum Tesseract (45) vs Ivar57 (55) - Highlight game of the week, QT is a better clicker but Ivar has better builds, although they're both very good in both aspects. In this meta I think prep is important so I give the edge to Ivar.
SS: Jqlove (35) vs quojova (65) - Quojova is super consistently good, hard to bet against them and I don't know Jqlove well.
SM: E4 Flint (60) vs jasprose (40) - Flint has gotta be good since they were TL during SM, jasprose's build vs city was pretty uninspiring.

SV: NightEdge (65) vs teamo (35) - NightEdge has been using Hallward builds and those can be pretty devious, although teamo will win if they prep hard enough.
SV: RoFnA (60) vs Fish Gaming (40) - Rofna is better at the game than Fish, but RoFnA has more volatile builds than any of Fish's opponents prior, so I think Fish can pull off an upset.
SV: Rei (45) vs big tony 2014 (55) - No strong feelings on this matchup, going with tony cause they've been winning.
SS: hayedenn (45) vs Tea Guzzler (55) - Not super confident on my g8 predicts, both are 1-1 but Tea won against quojova which is more impressive.
SM: SuperSkylake (30) vs Onyx Onix 7 (70) - Always bet on Onyx.

From what I've seen Bullsht is a more creative builder and better pilot, not much to say here. That being said, it's Gen 7 PH and the underdog still has a significant shot at winning, as demonstrated in sussy's game last week.

ORAS PH: Glory (52) vs Ballfire (48)
Extremely close game here. I've been more impressed with Glory's playing but Ballfire has more experience with the format and looks to be a more self-sufficient builder. Giving a very slight edge to Glory because they have Eyeos/RL support.

ORAS PH: Eyeos (43~53) vs manu 11 (47~57)
Another super hard-to-predict game. Eyeos will bring a considerably better team but manu will also likely outplay af. I'm providing a range instead of a hard number because my prediction depends on how willing manu is to study the current meta/play loads of test games to figure out what works best these days. Giving the slightest edge to manu.

cscl's building is unique and looks to be hard to prep for, although for Illusio's part they build standard-ish teams reasonably well and can pilot them to good effect.

ORAS PH: berry (47) vs Ransei (53)
Playing-wise I give the edge to berry but Ransei's been way more active in PH for a while now and will likely have prepped a more solid overall team.

ORAS PH: Iguana (55) vs Cao Jie (45)
Iguana has much more experience with the format, which offsets Cao Jie likely bringing a somewhat more consistent team.
 
Went even last week, /pick went 2-8 very good.
SV: damflame 3 vs pannu - damflame used a modified version of an open Akira team and won because the opponent's team was kind of dubious and bad matchup. pannu's win was also suspicious especially considering he did not prepare that well against expected builds and opponent forfeited rather early. Going to give edge to pannu because at least the team was original.
SV: Stolen Identity vs Akira 153 - Akira broke their loss streak last week through cheese set. SI got their win last week with cheese. Truly awful players but going to give it to Akira ig for a more impressive win.
SV: Treeko928 vs BugGoBrrrrrr - Good performance last week.
SS: Andyboy vs MAMP - Andy showed good plays last week, MAMP missed last week but made some critical blunder Week 1 and not sure if they have shaken off rust yet.
SM: anaconja vs cityscapes - anaconja lost last week but that was because of the dreadful Belly Drum. City won but I don't think it was a particularly impressive win and she really brought a fastest mon Xern team.

SV: NightEdge vs teamo - NightEdge won by loading big stall and opponent misplaying. teamo lost with some suspicious stuff. Will depend on how well teamo counterpreps.
SV: RoFnA vs Fish Gaming - RoFnA is pretty unpredictable atp despite winning only because his opponent loaded the wrong team and missed a crucial Roar of Time.
SV: Rei vs big tony 2014 - I did not like big tony's team last week whatsoever.
SS: hayedenn vs Tea Guzzler - Both players lost but hayedenn got obliterated in 5 turns.
SM: SuperSkylake vs Onyx Onix 7 - I feel like skylake is not going to be well-prepped for the many dangerous stuff Onyx could load.
