Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 108 Atk / 144 Def / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge / Rock Slide
- Swords Dance
- Thunder Wave / Heat Crash

Groudon tears up the Ubers metagame with its high Attack, solid coverage, and ability to check threats like Zekrom and Necrozma-DM. It survives Yveltal's Foul Play after using Swords Dance and uses its Attack investment to OHKO maximum HP Yveltal, one of its better checks, right back with Stone Edge. Rock Slide can be used with Thunder Wave for a threatening paraflinch combination after boosting that outspeeds paralyzed threats like Calyrex-S, which is what 16 Speed EVs are for. Heat Crash demolishes some of the best Ground switch-ins in Tangrowth, Buzzwole, and Zarude when boosted, limiting Groudon's reliable counters. Pokemon like Lunala and Zygarde still give it troubles, however, withstanding even its boosted hits and crippling it with Will-O-Wisp or Glare. This makes Pokemon that offensively pressure them like Yveltal, Xerneas, and Zacian excellent partners for Groudon. Zacian especially appreciates Groudon’s ability to wall Necrozma-DM and bait Tangrowth with Heat Crash. Defensive Kyogre is also a fantastic partner, walling Lunala and Zygarde to cover for Groudon’s weaknesses.

sorry for not getting to this the night i said i would, luckily there's not much that needs changed.

the set is what we have on the analysis so it's fine, although you need to explain what the speed evs do (outpace para'd scarf caly) and maybe it would help to mention how the bulk helps you check zekrom too. saying you live foul play after a swords dance "comfortably" is a bit of a stretch -- +2 108 Atk Dark Aura Yveltal Foul Play vs. 240 HP / 144+ Def Groudon: 255-300 (63.5 - 74.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery. you can do it if you have to but groudon's probably not doing much else then. the optimal way to play this thing most of the time is to paralyze the yveltal switch-in the first time and sd the second, cause, again, you don't really want to eat that foul play if you can avoid it cause then groudon won't really check their [insert physical threat here] or have much chance to set up again. you should probably clarify what status zyg/lunala are giving groudon that it dislikes (toxic and burn both suck a lot, paralysis is only really bad if the zygarde then haxes it). lastly, the mentions of things that synergize offensively are good but i would mention a few defensive partners -- an amazing one in particular is rest kyogre, which effortlessly takes on lunala/zygarde while absorbing the status groudon hates and lures in things like blissey that groudon can come in on.

implement this and u have ur qc check from me :3

With high physical attack, defense to check threats like Zekrom and Necrozma-DM, and solid coverage, Groudon is able to tear up the ubers metagame. This makes Pokemon that offensively pressure them like Yveltal, Xerneas, and Zacian with good offensive pressure against these walls excellent partners for Groudon. Zacian especially appreciates Groudon’s ability to wall Necrozma-DM and bait Tangrowth with Heat Crash, making for a very synergistic pair. Defensive Kyogre is also a fantastic partner, walling Lunala and Zygarde to cover for Groudon’s weaknesses.
