Re: PS Outages

Pokemon Showdown's main and smogtours server have been experiencing outages for the last couple days. The current ETA for the server being back online indicates that extending the length of the current Open rounds shouldn't be necessary, but due to the timing of the outages, the deadline for current extensions in the UU, RU, and LC Opens will be extended to Friday May 17th.

re: smogtours validation

Pelipper was banned from UU on May 13th, and Iron Leaves was quickbanned from RU on May 17th. However we've learned that they are validating incorrectly - while in the teambuilder these two Pokemon are listed correctly as UUBL and RUBL respectively, if the user checks with the "Validate" button it says that the team is actually valid. Users are also able to challenge with the banned Pokemon which should not be the case. This is incorrect behavior on the smogtours server that might confuse people into believeing that Pelipper and Iron Leaves are still legal in UU and RU respectively.

For current and future rounds, Pelipper is banned from UU and Iron Leaves is banned from RU. We'll try to get this fixed ASAP but meanwhile please try to do your due diligence and inform your friends as well.

RE: LBN vs entrocefalo

Situation:
In his Ubers Open set versus entrocefalo, LBN threw during both game 2 and game 3 by purposefully making suboptimal plays and stating his intention to make up for his own good luck in the game chat. While LBN's intent behind throwing did not appear to be malicious, and the players do not appear to have colluded in advance to rig the set, throwing a tournament game is explicitly against tournament rules and cannot be permitted in any form as it severely undermines the competitiveness of our tournaments.

Result: LBN will be tournament banned for three months. Entrocefalo will not advance further in the Ubers Open.

re: Drought

NU has banned Drought. It will remain legal for the remainder of Round 5 of the NU Open, and will be banned starting in Round 6. The smogtours server will not be updated until Monday to account for this. If playing on the main PS! server, please make sure to challenge your opponents in the RU format to allow Drought to remain legal.

re: Kommo-o

Also UU banned Kommo-o, it'll remain legal for Round 7 and be banned starting in Round 8 of the UU Open. Same as above, though if playing on main please challenge in the OU format.

re: Mew

NU has quickbanned Mew. It'll remain legal for remainder of Round 5 in NU Open, and will be banned from Round 6 onwards. The smogtours server will be updated on Monday and till then Mew will remain legal in NU on the server. If you're playing on PS Main, please play in RU so that teams with Mew can be validated.

re: July Tier Shifts

July tier shifts were released this morning after stours had already been updated for the week. Tier shifts will not be legal for RU, NU, or PU Opens this week, games should be played in their proper tiers (NU games should be played in [Gen 9] NU instead of a higher tier).

Thank you!

re: Raikou

PU has banned Raikou. As it was not allowed for the current week of the PU Open as one of the recent shifts, Raikou will continue to be banned through finals of the PU Open. The smogtours server was updated prior to the ban, so finals for the PU Open should still be played in the Gen 9 PU format but Raikou will not be allowed.

re: Inteleon and Ursaluna

PU has banned Inteleon and UU has banned Ursaluna. These Pokemon will be legal for round one of the Grand Slam XIII playoffs tiebreaker (Lily vs entrocefalo) and banned for the remainder of Grand Slam XIII playoffs, including round two of the tiebreaker (cc DAHLI). Lily vs entrocefalo should play their UU match in OU and their PU match in NU.

Thank you!
