good Dusknoir MS?

This guy seems to get a lot of talk and his prevo was one of my faves from Adv, but I just can't seem to come up with a good MS for him.

Dusknoir
Item: Leftovers
Nature: SpA-, De+ OR SpD+ (haven't decided just yet though maybe De+ to handle Heracross)
EV's: 252 HP, others?
Pain Split (to dent Blissey and Snorlax before I switch)
Shadow Sneak (to deal with ASGar and Zam's)
Thunderpunch (to dent Milotic, Gyrados and waters in general)
Snatch/Ice Punch/Disable/Will-o-wisp

The last move is placed in my own personal preference. I like the idea of Snatching Subs and DD's from opponent's but I don't know exactly how Snatch works (can I snatch T-Waves? do I have to be faster?). Also a lot of prediction. Ice Punch so I don't have to switch when I see Land Shark and it gets a free SD or sub (also dents Salamence even after Intimidate I think). Disable can stop my foe from setting up and WoW is. . .ok (worried about Arcanine and Heracross). Is there even a standard for this guy yet?

Snatch generally steals any beneficial move that you don't get to choose a target for. So, walls like Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard, Mist, etc. work. Also, any move that just raises your stats works. I think weather moves work, although it usually doesn't matter, since they're global effects. Thunder Wave doesn't work because it targets an opponent.

Yes there is a standard, but i think your looking at him as a pokemon thats going to attack, and while not totaly false, hes role on a team should be that of a tank/support pokemon.

That's true, I should be looking at him from a more tanking perspective, but with the offensive mindset going around D/P I also don't want to let my opponent just come in and set up on Dusknoir while I do nothing back (the problem that keeps Forry so low tier-wise). Two offensive moves is really all I need on him (not counting Pain Split as I see it more as a recover variant with Dusknoir's low HP).

Anyways, that's Pain Split/Thunderpunch(oddly enough highly recommended on Gamefaqs)/Shadow Sneak(I'd hate to lose this move as it kills Zam, Gar and gives me a way of hurting Azelf a little) and blank. Any suggestions for a last move or am I still doing this wrong?

I think that you'll find very little if anything switching into Dusknoir will use something Snatchable. Most of the time, they'll be pursuit Weavile/Heracross/Metagross/Tyranitar, maybe Staraptor/Tauros. Shadow Sneak + Pain Split is a great combo in its own right, otherwise I think the standard picks 2 attacks from the 3 elemental punches + earthquake. I'm a supporter of Fire Punch myself because 3 of the first 4 pursuiters are weak to it and the last 2 don't do much else to Dusknoir with his norm/fight immunity and Pursuit has no STAB on them.

There is no real standard for him as such. However, broadly speaking Pain Split/WoW and two attacks seems to be the most common. Pick whichever attacks you need to cover threats on your team.

If you're going with Pain Split/Thunderpunch/Shadow Sneak then WoW would work in the last slot, just be careful of Heracross switch-ins. If you want another attack I'd recommend Brick Break for Weavile, Tyranitar and to a lesser extent Heatran.

Another thing, sure Dusky here has a nice Phisical stat, but DO NOT underestimate its special options, i even heard of a Wi-Fi battler using an HP Flying one, sending PursuitHera back to its pokeball.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Going to stay away from WoW this generation if not because Arcanine and Ninetails will se alot more play (and the always prevalent Heracross). I might just put on Ice Punch then to deal with any Salamences, Land Sharks, etc. I plan on using Dusknoir as a lead sometimes to "scout" out what the team might have. Massive defenses and a good moveset can help me be prepared for anything. The only real threats being Tyranitar and Weavile. Actually, I might go with Brick Break instead then. . .well. . .one of those two definitely.

Too bad he can't learn Stealth Rock lol (I'll let my Utilitank do that).

Hmm i think i got you a good solution

Swampert @ Lefties
Avalanche
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Protect

that way you can free up some moveslots in your Dusknoir, and use them on something you really want IT to do.
