Flygon..

GonE that set looks pretty good and IMO would really fit Flygon well up to you though. Aeroblacktyl set looks pretty good as well as only a few will expect you to use a set like that.

Do you use EQ because you don't know he could have Earth Power or to take you special walls? Do you EV his as a phys sweeper or special?
 
I use Draco Meteor most of the times, so he is EV'ed more towards the special side. EQ is for T-Tar because Earth Power barely scratches him. Also to make blissey having a tough time (he will never 2HKO, sadly).

It's worked out pretty well for me over all. Not the game's best EQ/SE'er, but I like how it works out. As soon as something comes in to take him out I can use U-Turn to switch out, which has really worked out well for me over all. I've tried a couple other things like Choice Band and Dragon Claw, but they generally didn't work out as well. It's really having Life Orb and being able to take a quick shot on the retreat that makes him stand out, IMO. Roost of course, is his other bonus that really makes LO more viable.
 
Do you find adamant makes him too slow though? I run jolly and a choice band set, I use him over garchomp mostly for the ground immunity which is more helpful to my team (and I will never use garchomp for its ugliness anyway). I was wondering if adamant was worth the loss of speed, as the choice band allows him to hit reasonably hard either way.
 
Adamant isn't great if you run Meteor.

TBH, it's safe to assume that Adamant / Modest / Naughty / Rash would be the best natures for Flygon sets (the latter for Mixed). The 100 Speed isn't a big deal, most Base 100s go for the power gain anyways.
 
Timid is great for Flygon, it's just as good as Jolly but just the Special Version. I guess i'll keep Draco Meteor...it can practicly OHKO anything. EP is just the special EQ. I'll keep Roost for Life Orb recoil and get rid of Sub for Fire Blast or so.
 
Draco Meteor will not OHKO everything, for damage calculations refer to the chainchomp thread (same SpA).

I've battled with it too. I'm also using the Specs at the moment. :)

Works great, tricks people into thinking it's a Physical Sweeper.

I don't have too much trouble, but I'm more of a PBR player than Shoddy. At 100 speed, good breeding can make up for a nature pretty quickly, but it takes a lot to make that OHKO at only base 100 attack. Generally I find anything base 100 speed will do find with good IVs and EVs. Anything below 100 I usually give a +Speed nature if I want them to go first.
 
nothing special really it outruns +speed Smeargle, Honchkrow, Breloom, Skarm and Gross. also outruns adamant Cross, and non-speed suicune aside from that nothing else worth mentioning.
 
Well it outspeeds the whole bunch of Pokemon that sit on 270 and all those that sit on 271 to outspeed the 270 group. With the continual one-upping 276 isn't necessarily a bad number.
 
IMO you should run atleast 280 to outspeed modest Porygon-Z, and neutral speed Lucario. But the best speed for him is either max at 328 or 320 atleast outspeeds a whole bunch of pokemon including Adamant Chomp, Modest Gengar, Adamant Tauros, etc.
 
It doesn't really matter what speed you have...if you have a Timid Flygon use Choice Specs/Life Orb, if you have a Modest Flygon use Choice Scarf. I'm not worried about Flygon's base 100 Speed, but Flygon has a base 80 SpA so it needs Specs/Orb.

THE only reason to use any special flygon is that it gets Earth Power over Mence
