"Sergeant Politeness" by Failure

I've always liked the line "caress my ego" and have worked it into irl conversations before. Stroking one's ego is already used, but it's pretty rare. Caress is a good synonym, and more descriptive.

The song is about cocaine.

"I could be your private island
On a different planet
Anything could happen
Listen to the waves
Let them wash away your pain"

"Oh, these three worn words
Oh, let me whisper like the rubbing hands
Of tourists in Verona
I just want to love you in my own language"

"Look up
Your city's built on marble floors
Neon lights in the falling snow
Those night back in Tokyo"

"Life goes on / long after the thrill of living is gone."
John Mellencamp - Jack & Diane

Pretty much Ever song by The Chariot

Specifically this phrase from "Speak"

Lovers, beg your forgiveness right now.
Fathers, speak to your kids, right now.
To the prince, to the king, to the fathers of the free,
beg for your workers, and pray to God for me.
Bleeding hearts meet bleeding crowns.
All hope, is only around, right now.
Prisoners of love, forgive them, right now, and speak.

"With diamond-tipped shells he'll drop jewels in your dome. Pull out your heart, and wrap it up in wax paper."

"there's no such thing as an ugly billionaire, i'm cute" - jay-z, family feud

made me realize i need to be a billionare

"You know it's Nick Crompton and my collar stay poppin'
Yes, I can rap and no, I am not from Compton
England is my city
And if it weren't for Team 10, then the US would be shitty
I'll pass it to Chance 'cause you know he stay litty"

-Nick Crompton in Team 10's "It's Everyday Bro"

Just the whole song "Rape Rape" by Idontknowjeffery.

On a more serious note, Andre 3K's second verse on Aquemini. In general, that song is just great, lyrically and the vibe the song gives off.

The song is Brain Damage by Pink Floyd from one of my all time favorite albums Dark Side of the Moon.

You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'till I'm sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

American Idiot the musical has always meant a lot to me, in particular one line from "Are We the Waiting"
"The rage and love, the story of my life"

I’m with your girlfriend eating chips,
Mmmm, stop the beat, bitch!

-Taco (Tyler the Creator - Tina)

Happens at 1:59.

The dude just starts eating chips in the middle of the song. It always makes me laugh.

My masterpiece is running in place,
charting distances I run,
lifting blocks but building nothing,
touching each one and walking off screen.

Extremely relatable tbh

A jewel in history
A treasure disappears - as she goes
Miss her as we look away - and no one knows
This power is a key
This power changes me

There's nothing you can make that can't be made
No one you can save that can't be saved
Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time

It's easy

There's nothing you can know that isn't known
Nothing you can see that isn't shown
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy

These are my favorite lyrics of all time, from All you Need is Love by The Beatles. This song is one that I always flash back to whenever I'm going through a tough time, specifically the line "There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be." I especially like this line because it always reassures me that things happen for a reason, so if I'm going through a depression period I can be reassured that its all for a reason and that peace of mind always helps to quell my anxiety. I also like the line "Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time" because I struggled through a period where I did not love myself and constantly held my self-worth to the standards of other people, and its a constant reminder that self love is the first step to leading a happy life
