Revamp of the draft of my taotie fakemon, Gulamb:

I feel like the previous draft was too literal, so I opted for more of an idol-like creature. The markings on its body are where its mouth is (though I'm thinking about changing that)

You never really realize how hard it is to make a fakemon quartet (especially of UBs) until you note that they have to be distinct from each other and not look way too similar. I'm so tempted to make Gulamb really beastly, but I fear it'd clash with my other 2 fake mons.

Would be an early-game pokemon probably. The flowers come in four colours, like the florges line!

This one was born from the huge lack of dawn and dusk stone evos. Contaminate is something I made up a while ago; just basically the dark version of pixilate/aerilate/etc. It'd probably be better for poison honestly but it's the best I could come up with.

i was bored and got a load of new pens for christmas so i played a pokemon art game :toast: (disclaimer: im not very good at art. i just do it as a hobby).

first i used random.org to generate two numbers from 1 to 17, one for each pokemon type. then i generated a number for 1-26, one for each letter of the alphabet. that letter would be the beginning of the name of the animal i would base the fakemon off of. then i would use this site to click the list of animals that begin with that letter, randomly generate a number from 1 to (however many animals are in that list), then THAT would be my fakemon.

first one was a Fairy/Psychic Sea Lion (17, 10, 19, 147)

Well, I have lotsa' Fakemon's design, but for now I will share my newest one. Keep in mind that this is a new design, and therefore it lacks a lot of things. These will be added in the future.
  • Name: ??? (You can share some name's ideas if you want tho. If you do, please explain what it means)
  • Type: Normal / Flying.
  • Design's explanation: It is based on a paratrooper and a bit in a helicopter, due to it's tail form which it uses to fly, with both cat and turtle's charactheristics, explaining it's ears, extremities, tail and it's "backpack" and "harness" which is a shell actually. It also have a kind of parachutist's glasses on it's face, and the spots on both it's hands and paws are trying to represent a paratrooper's suit, specifically boots and gloves (I know they don't actually wear gloves but you get the idea). Finally, the bulge above it's "glasses" represent the helmet.
  • Description / Pokedex's entry: Not finished yet, sorry.
This is all the info I could make, and this Fakemon has also an evolution, but since I almost have anything done about it, I will not share it for now. Anyway, I hope you liked this design and you can explain it's weakness and virtues. Bye!

P.S: If you ask why it is on blackboard, it's because there I can make the Fakemon's alphas / beta-designs a lot easier. Later it will transfer it to paper with colours.

So I made this spicy boi as an idea I had for a trio of starters who all have typings made up of grass, fire, and water. This one is the fire starter with a secondary grass typing. Then there'd be a grass type with a secondary water typing (I'm thinking something to do with a swamp, maybe a crocodile or alligator of some kind), and a water type with a secondary fire typing (for this one I could only think of something to do with steam, but it seems too much like Volcanion). Anyways, I'm here because I need feedback, like bad. First off, none of them have a name, any input on that would be a great help (and btw the design IS based off of a spicy pepper, so something to do with that would fit very well). I have movesets for them already, and general heights and weights based off of other mons, so I'm good on that front, but again, if you have input I'd like to hear it. Plus the final evolution looks too much like the first evolution imo, it kinda has "it just gets bigger" syndrome, so if anyone has any design input (for any of them) it would be much appreciated. Any and all feedback would be amazing, thanks.

Its not only the final evolution that has the "Just Bigger" syndrome, the middle mon' also look too like the first form. Even if it is based mainly on a spicy pepper, I think you could add more animalish details (Like some color pattern in hands or paws) to give it more colors, another thing it lack tho, and a little bit of realism. Also even it is not needed at all, I think you could add them a Pokedex description to give even more realism and also, interesting concepts to the Fakemons. Otherwise I think its pretty soild considering it is a spicy pepper, so good job!

Thanks, I appreciate the input and I'll take it into consideration when I make changes. Also I've been toying with the idea of changing the mon's colors as it evolves, so if you think that would improve the design I'd like to know.

Alright, so with the help of an artist that I've personally contacted with, I've created this fakemon based loosely around the wood frog in northern Canada.

Name: Cryoakert

Typing: Ice/Ground

Base Stats: Hp: 120 Att: 75 Def: 95 SpecAtt: 120 SpecDef: 100 Spd: 70

Abilities: Frosty Surge

Notable moves: Blizzard, Calm Mind, Earth Power, Rock Gem, Hydro Pump, Slack Off, Freeze-Dry, Aurora Veil

Frosty Terrain: Ice type moves power increased by 25%. Halves the damage by entry hazards. All water type moves are converted to ice type.

More info: This Pokemon is primitive in nature and has been known to lay dormant for several hundreds of years and can be revived by using a firestone where it is later either battled with or captured.

It's a pure Grass type that evolves into a Grass/Rock type, it's based on red deers, in cernunnos, a god from celtic mythology that represents health, nature and other concepts and in it's last stage it also resembles druids. The only stage of it's evolutionary chain that has a name atm is it's last evo that goes for Forestag... And for it's HA, I only need ideas for it's effects but if you'd like to share a ideas for the ability's name that would also help a lot!

Unfortunately, I'm not too good at coming up with artistic designs for Pokémon. I'm pretty good at coming up with ideas, stats, movepools, and other technical details, but the design is just something I don't have the patience to truly polish. But I do have a lot of ideas I'd like to share when I have the time.

Now Luvi is young and joyful and loves to sing for itself and for it's trainer. She also loves to dance and use her flames to put on a performance. She can also use this in battle to distract the opponent! Hope everyone finds Luvi enjoyable as a fakemon as I did! I'm very proud of commissioning this Line! Can't wait to show the rest of the evolution!

Name I'm unsure about, but I might be able to pass something for the HA. I'm guessing from your wording you want something like a custom ability, correct? Just in case I'll also throw an idea for one that isn't exclusive

Non-Exclusive: Grass Pelt (Obvious reasoning is obvious)

Exclusive: Healthy (Essentially the item "Big Root" but in the form of an ability. I feel it fits well enough with a grass-type pokemon and the theme around the celtic health god you mentioned.)

Other Non-Exclusive just in case you already have Grass Pelt just in case: Rain Dish (What's that? You say plants like water? Whats that again? You say plants like being rain team counters? Ok.)
 
Now let's go on with this evolution line. I should mention that Luvi has 2 more evolutions and the next one is Lamiamor! Now the name is derived from Lamia and Amor ( Love in Spanish). Btw typing and ability doesn't change throughout the whole line!

As you can see she is considerably bigger then her basic form and she grew arms! Her hair grew a bit longer, and so has her horn! The end of her tail is now in the shape of a heart, matches the patterns of scales attach to her hair. Speaking of scales, they also grown. She also has frills now to act as clothing. Now that she has arms her dancing and combat abilities has open up to new possibilities!

Now it's the moment that everyone been waiting for! The final stage of our adorable little snake is Flamencoil! Now the word is derive from Flamenco which is a style of Spanish music and Coil. Now Flamencoil is a lot longer now that she's all grown up and a lot more fabulous since she has a veil to help her dancing. Her horn is now kind of a crown. Her firepower also gotten better, as shown when she's angry she can cover her body in flames. The whole look was based on a Princess dancer but cross with a Singer/Idol, maybe something like Olivia from Fire Emblem Awakening.

Now if you been following the pattern of the base stats of the previous forms then you guessed it! It;s a pseudo-legendary fakemon. I decided to stat this as more of a speed focused rather then physical or offensive compare to the other pseudos.
Notable Moves: Dragon Dance, Quiver Dance, Hyper Voice, Moonblast, Play Rough, Draining Kiss, Burn up, Fire Blast, Coil, Glare

The names are now Fawrest > Deerbor > Forestag and their HA is Evergreen (gradually recovers 1/16 of the user's HP during sunshine or rain) which is pretty overpowered but it fits both the Pokémon and the current meta in my fan-game.

And here's a huge surprise for you guys, introducing Mega FlamenCoil! Now the mega doesn't get any bigger if any of you are concern of her length. A crystal has formed on her chest and bottom of her horn and on the veil on her arm, speaking of the horn, it's now like a tiara/crown. The scales on her hair now changed shapes in this transformation. She also gain another veil attach to her back. The tail also expanded as well as the frills on her body.
