They would be more authentic for my Washington-based region.
I understand wanting to have an accurate dex to line up with a real life place, but there's no hard rule that you have to do that.
The Popplio line might pose a problem for Maripup, but I think Maripup’s different enough from Popplio and its evolved forms as well as the Spheal and Seel lines. (Also, I would 100% choose Maripup)
My Tahoma starter trio
Cephyl: "With it's highly developed tentacles, it can walk on land and vertical surfaces. It must stay close to water so its skin won't dry out."
Octovine: "This Pokémon resides in rainforests. It swings across the canopy with its longest set of tentacles."
Beavurn: "When danger draws near, it slaps its tail on the ground to warn friends. Sparks fly when doing so."
Pyrodent: "Wood is a favorite food of this Pokémon. The fire inside its belly burns the wood like a furnace, keeping it in high energy."
Swither: "On land, it slithers sluggishly. However, in the water, it swims swiftly towards prey."
Serpond: "The pearls on its neck emit a weak telepathic power that allows it to communicate with others of its kind."
How do these sound?A fakémon concept I’ve been meaning to make for a while now, the fire starter for the only obvious non-country region (pirates its pirates it’s a pirate region yarrgh i like pillaging)
More focused on the notes of the design, since this is like the 3rd attempt at getting a first stage even remotely conceptualized.
It took me cross-referencing BotWs Lost Woods to get to this, namely the whole “torch that shows you the path forward” idea. The fire is meant to resemble a compass needle, in it’s sharp flare, but im not quite sure i’ve done a good job. Also (imo) feels a bit lacking, but idk how to add to it without making it too cluttered.
Stats are Incomplete, and don’t reflect the pokemon well anyways, so those will eventually get updated.
(Also gotta figure out the water and grass starters but im thinking a chimp and something regarding canons/firearms, pirate-y tools/resources and such)What would be a fitting level-up moveset for a Steel/Ghost chainsaw line?
