TETRODOFISH
Qwilfish --> Tetrodofish Evolution Method: Lv 36+ while holding a Thunder Stone Type: Poison/Electric Statline:-
HP: 85
ATK: 115
DEF: 105
SPA: 65
SPD: 85
SPE: 105
Base Stat Total: 560 Abilities: Levitate/Swift Swim/HA: Intimidate Additional Moves: Zing Zap, Baneful Bunker, Gunk Shot, Electro Clash (Physical Thunder clone), Strength Sap Competitive Role: These moves compliment the two playstyles that Tetrodofish has - that of a fast electric Rain attacker, and that of a bulky, defensive tank. A great Speed tier and access to some brilliant moves, as well as a niche typing with some great resistances, gives it promise in those roles. Strength Sap is reliable recovery, certainly more reliable than Pain Split, and Baneful Bunker allows it to punish physical attackers that might otherwise be immune to its stat-reduction antics. Meanwhile, Zing Zap, Gunk Shot, and Electro Clash are great for the fast set. Ironically, it might end up being complimented on the team by its prevolution, which has access to much of the same stuff and can now use Eviolite to keep the pressure up.
Voting is now open I will close votes on Monday. Good subs this time, keep up the good work! Also I was kind of busy this week, I'll start making the submission phase a bit shorter next time.
Official Post: Slate #6 Winners
Congratulations to Scoopapa for winning with Wuntoo, Origin0 with Fugishimi, and ToadBrigade for winning with Korb! I just want to take the time to apologize for being less active, somehow I have less time in summer. I also haven't updated the spreadsheet yet and might not get around to it. If anyone else wants to help edit, just let me know.
To make up for it, here's the next slate right away: Slate #7: Seeing Red
Throh: Ability ranking of 3.5 and 4 movepool additions, same as Sawk. Turtonator: Maximum ability ranking of 4 and 3 movepool additions. Turtonator should've been good, go ham. Groudon: Same deal as Kyogre. Will you bring the heat to LC?
Evolves when leveled up on a mountain with no other pokemon in the party. Original Pokemon: Throh Pokemon Evolution Name: Judoh Type:
Ability: Guts / Technician | *Defense Master (HA)
*Defense Master - This pokemon is immune to Fighting-type moves and gains +1 Defense if hit by one. Stats: 130 / 115 / 120 / 60 / 95 / 50 | BST: 570 Move Additions: Counter, Close Combat, Cross Chop, Drain Punch Competitive Niche (OU): Sawk's more defensive cousin. Rigirous training in both hard body and grappling techniques resulted in a pokemon that you seriously don't want to attack at close range. Both Technician and Defense Master would be tempting ability options, as Technician boosts a bunch of STAB moves such as Storm Throw, Circle Throw, and Rock Tomb, while Defense Master lets it counter most Fighting-types with ease. Counter is possibly one of its most dangerous options, easily netting kill against most physical attacks, and also perfectly fitting Throh's flavor.
Original Pokemon Name: Turtonator New Pokemon Name: Schwartoise ( Schwarzenegger + tortoise ) Type: Fire / Dragon Ability: Tactician - attacks with a fail condition restore 1/3 of the user's HP upon successfully landing ( Shell Trap, Reverberation, Focus Punch, Fake Out, Last Resort, Counter, Mirror Coat, Metal Burst, Endeavor ) Move Additions: *Reverberation, Focus Punch, Fake Out
*Reverberation - 150 BP Special Dragon-type move, -3 priority | only succeeds if hit by a special attack this turn. ( Shell Trap clone ) Stats: 70 / 110 / 145 / 120 / 135 / 20 | BST: 600 Competitive Niche: Bulky defensive pivot that can heal itself while dishing out heavy attacks, as long as your prediction is on point. It's definitely a bit gimmicky and held back by the fact that its big STAB attacks can't hit enemies on the switch, however it can use Block or Fire Spin to remedy that to an extent. It can also get a cheap heal off by using Fake Out. An Assault Vest would be a pretty stellar item for it. You could always run 3 regular attacks + Fake Out for healing
Original Pokemon Name: Throh New Pokemon Name: Kayode (KO'd) Type: Fighting / Fairy New Moves: Play Rough, Fury Fae (Fairy type Mach Punch) Ability: Guts / Technician / Mold Breaker Stats: 140 / 120 / 105 / 50 / 105 / 50 Competitive Niche: Kayode can run bulky technician sets or Guts sets, using it's superb bulk and attack to threaten lots of opponent's. 50 speed really holds it back and encourages it to run Technician sets instead of the stronger Guts option.
Original Pokemon Name: Turtonator New Pokemon Name: Turtonation Type: Fire / Dragon New Moves: Earth Power, Mirror Coat Ability: Modular Shell (This pokemon's defense or special defense is raised based on the opponent's higher attack stat.) Stats: 85 / 90 / 135 / 115 / 90 / 36 Competitive Niche: Bulky Shell Smash sweeper that can also run defensive sets thanks to an amazing defensive ability.
Original Pokemon Name: Throh New Pokemon Name: Jitsoh (jiu jitsu)
Evolves by leveling up past level 40 while holding Black Belt Type:
Ability: Guts / Iron Spirit* / Mold Breaker (HA)
Iron Spirit* - Fighting-type Sap Sipper Stats: 140 / 120 / 120 / 30 / 100 / 60 | BST: 570 (+20 HP, +20 Atk, +35 Def, +15 SpD, +15 Spe) Move Additions: Iron Head, Bullet Punch, Recover, Drain Punch Competitive Niche (OU): Very bulky with reliable recovery and a Fighting-type immunity ability. It has Bulk Up to set up, priority in Bullet Punch, and elemental punches for good coverage, with Thunder Punch hitting Toxapex and Slowbro while Ice Punch hits Landorus-T.
Jitsoh @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Spirit
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Drain Punch
- Iron Head / Bullet Punch
- Recover
- Bulk Up / Thunder Punch / Ice Punch
Original Pokemon Name: Turtonator New Pokemon Name: Combustoise (combust + tortoise)
Evolves by leveling up past level 50 when Harsh Sun weather is active Type:
Ability: Volatile*
Volatile* - Stamina clone that raises SpA Stats: 100 / 90 / 150 / 110 / 100 / 50 | BST: 600 (+40 HP, +12 Atk, +15 Def, +19 SpA, +15 SpD, +14 Spe) Move Additions: Slack Off, Earth Power, Power Gem Competitive Niche (OU): Great physical bulk with decent special bulk and usable special attack. Its ability makes it hit harder as it takes hits, Slack Off helps it stay alive to accumulate boosts. Shell Smash can also be used to sweep but is riskier.
Combustoise @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Volatile
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast / Overheat
- Dragon Pulse / Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Slack Off
Combustoise @ White Herb
Ability: Volatile
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power
- Shell Smash
Evolves when levelled up holding Expert Belt New Pokemon Name: Pulla ('throh-a-punch' / 'pull-a-punch') Type:
New Moves: Counter, Submission, Fake Out, Curse Ability: Guts, Inner Focus, Low Centre of Gravity (halves damage from Fighting and Ground type moves) Stats: 140 / 120 / 110 / 35 / 110 / 55 (570 BST *same as Wuntoo*) Competitive Niche: Pulla has perfect coverage in the OU tier with its STAB moves and Ice Punch coverage meaning it will hit with powerful moves. High HP and defensive stats mean it can play a defensive role with a phasing set or a RestTalk set but can also boost its attack (and defence) with Curse. It has poor defensive typing with six weaknesses but Low Centre of Gravity compensates for this boosting its resistances to a total of seven (including Electric immunity).
Evolves when levelled up knowing Shell Smash New Pokemon Name: Turtploded (turtle + exploded) Type:
New Moves: Flare Blitz, Ability: Shell Shocked (raises speed and attack by one stage and lowers defence by two stages when hit with a physical move) Stats: 80 / 103 / 100 / 112 / 50 / 43 (488 BST) Competitive Niche: Turtploded uses Shell Smash and sweeps... sometimes. After boosting it has enough firepower to break through most Pokemon but in most situations will not have enough speed without support from teammates to sweep early in the game. Its biggest draw card however it ability to run physical, special, or mixed sets that won't be revealed until it has already set and it ready to start punching holes through teams. Its ability, Shell Shocked, is a double edged sword, allowing it to boost its low speed to extremely dangerous levels but also leaving it even more vulnerable to fast Choice Scarf users and priority.
Evolves into Groudon when holding a Red Orb at level 40 or above. New Pokemon Name: Grob Type:
Removed Moves: Eruption, Precipice Blades, Fissure, Solar Beam Ability: Drought Stats: 60 / 62 / 73 / 45 / 70 / 40 (350 BST) Competitive Niche: If Korb can bring rain to LC then Grob can bring sun back. Vulpix was banned specifically for being a drought user but now that rain teams can hard counter sun teams (and vice versa), both team archetypes will introduce a new dynamic to the LC tier which will be a refreshing change since LC has been dominated by bulky Eviolite users over the last few generations. Gorb will mainly act as a sun setter since its stats are too balanced to excel as an offensive unit but will bring mandatory support on sun teams with Stealth Rocks and weather.
Ability: Primer (After using a damaging move of 60 BP or less, user's damaging move next turn deals 1.5x damage.) Stats: 85 (+25) / 83 (+5) / 140 (+5) / 111 (+20) / 90 (+5) / 51 (+15) | BST: 560 New Moves: Oil Spray*, Dyna Shot*, Discharge
Oil Spray: Fire-type, Special clone of Power-Up Punch that boosts Special Attack. (Fire-Type, Special, BP: 40, PP: 20, Acc: 100, Raises User's Sp. Atk. by 1) Dyna Shot: Steel-type clone of Fire Blast. (Steel-type, Special, BP: 110, PP: 5, Acc: 85, 10% chance to burn the opponent) Competitive Niche: The same typing that currently propels Heatran to greatness is backed by monstrous 85/140 physical bulk and solid 85/90 special bulk (further improvable with Assault Vest), giving Frynamiter plenty of opportunities to trap, shuffle, or just wallbreak with absurd power through Primer and its excellent weak-attack pool. By using Oil Spray every other turn, it can continuously increase the ante to ridiculous levels. It (hopefully) won't completely break OU, though, thanks to its poor Speed even after a +1 boost and weaknesses to Earthquake/Focus Blast/etc. Just count on this blaster to explosively shake up the tier.

Well, since there hasen't been anything for now, Voting is now open.
Any last-minute submissions can be included, since we only got 1 for Groudon and having 5 for Turtonator and 4 for Throh.
Evolves when leveled up knowing Precipice Blades and holding a Red Orb New Pokemon Name: Pdon (Short for Primal Groudon) Type:
Removed Moves: Eruption, Overheat, Rock Polish Abilities: Drought Stats: 50 / 100 / 90 / 50 / 40 / 40 (370 BST) Justification: Kind of like Mudbray in how he functions, but with Drought. Drought enables the (already niche-viable) Sun archetype to truly shine and makes sweeping with Bellsprout, Exeggute easier. Stats are just like Groudon's but reduced by 50 across the board.
Evolution Method: Evolves when leveled up on a mountain with no other pokemon in the party.
New Pokemon Name: Tohss (Toss)
Type: Fighting
Ability: Analytic/Stamina/Bouncer: Increases damage from phasing moves by 50% (Iron Fist clone)
Stats: 150 (+ 30)/110 (+ 10)/115 (+ 30)/35 (+ 5)/110 (+ 25)/50 (+ 5)
New Moves: Counter, Close Combat, Recover, Submission
Competitive Niche (LC or OU): A great mixed wall that can still hit back hard. Its speed is bad, but Bouncer and Analytic don’t have a problem with that. Even Stamina is okay with low speed meaning taking more hits.
Original Pokemon Name: Turtonator
Evolution Method: Level up while holding a Rocky Helmet in Intense Sunlight.
New Pokemon Name: Exploshell (Explosion + shell)
Type: Fire/Dragon
Ability: Flame Body
Stats: 70 (+ 10)/83 (+ 5)/145 (+ 10)/111 (+ 20)/100 (+ 15)/41 (+ 5)
New Moves: Focus Punch, Mirror Coat, Flare Blitz
Competitive Niche (LC or OU): A physical wall that hits hard on the Special side. Its Special Defense isn’t that bad either.
Original Pokemon Name: Groudon
Evolution Method: Level up while holding a Red Orb over level 40.
New Pokemon Name: Undeart (Under +earth + dirt)
Type: Ground
Ability: Territorial: Boosts Defense and Special Defense by 50% when in a Terrain (Grass Pelt variation)
Stats: 55 (- 45)/70 (- 80)/65 (- 75)/55 (- 45)/55 (- 35)/50 (- 40)
Removed Moves: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Eruption, Solar Beam
Competitive Niche (LC or OU): A major physical tank, especially in terrain, where it walls special hits too. However, it needs a partner to set terrain and eventually it will run out of terrain turns.
Official Post: Slate 6 winners
Congratulations to ToadBrigade for winning with both Pulla and Grob, and Origin0 for winning with Combustoise!
Slate #7: Thinking Green
Maractus: Which is worse: Maractus or Carnivine? Probably neither, since both are 100% outclassed at everything they do. 4.5 ability rating and 7 movepool additions. Carnivine: 4.5 ability ranking and 7 movepool additions. fugRayquaza: Where will you take this? Mostly good because of it's wide movepool and good mixed stats, how will you transfer it to LC?
(Evolved when levelled up in a Sandstorm) New Pokemon Name: Aloectus (Aloe + cactus) Type:
New Moves: Scald, Hydro Pump, Sand Storm, Earth Power, Sludge Bomb Ability: Sand Rush, Rough Skin, Storm Drain Stats: 100 / 90 / 87 / 138 / 87 / 78 (580 BST) Competitive Niche: One thing Sand Teams have been missing is a good special attacker. Aloectus can reach high speeds and special attack, outspeeding and threatening to OHKO threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Koko. It now has access to coverage moves that can hit common checks to sand such as Sludge Bomb for Tapu Bulu and HP Fire for Ferrothorn. Aloectus's typing also allows it to act as a counter for rain teams that can remove Sandstorm from the field. It can switch safely in on Mega Swampert and Kingdra and then threaten them with its STAB moves. It can also use Spikes which can help Aloectus and its teammates break through bulkier opponents.
(Evolved when levelled up with Fly Trap)
New Pokemon Name: Carnatrap (Carnivore/Carnage + Venus Fly Trap) Type:
New Moves: Fly Trap (Grass type Freeze Dry clone, super effective against Bug types), Sucker Punch, Superpower, Stone Edge, Pursuit Ability: Trapped (Doubles the power of moves used against targets that have used an attacking move this turn. [Stakeout variation]) Stats: 60 / 130 / 75 / 95 / 75 / 60 (495 BST) Competitive Niche: With Tapu Bulu and Kartana dominating the role of offensive Grass types and Tangrowth and Ferrothorn dominating the role of defensive Grass types, Carnatrap can force opposing Pokemon into uncomfortable situations, essentially trapping them. Carnatrap deters its opponents from using status moves or switching since that will double the power of its moves. Even when attacking Carnatrap directly, opposing Pokemon will need to watch out for a boosted Sucker Punch. Thankfully Carnatrap's low speed, poor defensive typing, lack of room for coverage means that bulkier resists such as Mega Scizor will hard counter it and Dark resists such as most Fairy types can check it easily. Overall Carnatrap will threaten slow stall teams the most.
(Evolves when levelled up knowing Dragon Ascent at level 40 or above) New Pokemon Name: Rayzura (Rayquaza + Azure) Type:
Removed Moves: Dragon Ascent (cannot be move tutored, level up move at level 40), Ability: Air Lock Stats: 40 / 90 / 35 / 90 / 35 / 70 (370 BST) Competitive Niche: Rayzura 2HKOs almost everything except for defensive some of LC's defensive juggernauts such as Snubbull and Vullaby. Despite this, Rayzura is a glass cannon and can be beaten by faster threats and priority very easily. It has access to Dragon Dance however due to its frailty, it will rarely find an opportunity to set up and would much rather have extra coverage.
Original Pokemon Name: Maractus New Pokemon Name: Tambouro (tambourine + saguaro) Evolution Method: Level up past level 36 when Sandstorm weather is active Type:
Ability: Water Absorb / Sand Stream / Dancer (HA) Stats: 100 / 86 / 95 / 120 / 90 / 70 | BST: 561 (+25 HP, +28 Def, +14 SpA, +23 SpD, +10 Spe, +100 BST) Move Additions: Earth Power, Power Gem, Stealth Rock, Petal Dance, Sandstorm, Shore Up, Rapid Spin Competitive Niche (OU): Bulky sand setter with hazard control in Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Rapid Spin. Shore Up provides great recovery in sand, and if your team already has a sand setter, it can run Water Absorb to help fight off opposing Water-types that threaten sand teams.
========== New Pokemon Name: Pitayattle (pitaya + rattle) Evolution Method: Level up past level 36 when Harsh Sun weather is active Type:
Ability: Dancer / Drought / Storm Drain (HA) Stats: 85 / 86 / 85 / 130 / 85 / 90 | BST: 561 (+10 HP, +18 Def, +24 SpA, +18 SpD, +30 Spe, +100 BST) Move Additions: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Overheat, Petal Dance, Will-O-Wisp, Rapid Spin Competitive Niche (OU): Sun setter and abuser, with options like Synthesis, Growth, and Solar Beam alongside its Fire STAB. It can also provide Rapid Spin and Spikes support but be careful as it's still weak to Stealth Rock. If your team has another sun setter, Storm Drain can be run to provide extra insurance against rain teams, especially since it is also neutral to Ice and Ground moves.

It can go physical, special, or mixed, being able to set up with Swords Dance or Nasty Plot.
Snapitrap @ Life Orb

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Name: Castanactus Evolves From: Maractus Evolution Method: Level 40+ while Carnivine is in the party Type: Grass/Dragon Abilities: Clapperclaw (Custom ability: Strong Jaw but for Sound moves) / Chlorophyll / Sirocco (Storm Drain clone affecting Ice-type moves) Statline: 85 (+10)/86/82 (+15)/136 (+30)/82 (+15)/100 (+40) (BST: 461+110=571) Movepool Additions: Snapdragon (Dragon-type Boomburst clone), Aura Sphere, Petal Song (Grass-type Bug Buzz clone), Dragon Pulse, Quiver Dance, Snarl, Sludge Bomb Niche: Clapperclaw allows Castanactus to dish out a pretty terrifying amount of hurt with its signature move Snapdragon, especially coming off base 136 Special Attack. It's a pretty cool combination, but it does suffer from being a little predictable, with its best move vulnerable to Fairy-types and its backups not doing too well against Steel-types, but there's still a good set up for a fast special sweeper. It can also run its other main ability, Sirocco, to act as a sneaky switch-in on Ice-type attacks, with the +1 boost working out really well for its damage dealing. If you're lucky, you can also use it to force out a Choiced attacker, leaving you free to set up with Quiver Dance.
Name: Sunduvine Evolves From: Carnivine Evolution Method: Level 40+ while Maractus is in the party Type: Grass/Psychic Abilities: Fly Trap (Levitate clone affecting Bug-type moves) / Razor Sharp (Custom Ability: Strong Jaw but for Blade and Whip moves) / HA: Analytic Statline: 100 (+26)/138 (+38)/100 (+28)/90/100 (+28)/36 (-10) (BST: 454+110=564) Movepool Additions: Ether Lash (Psychic-type Power Whip clone), Fire Lash, Leaf Blade, Sacred Sword, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Flashing Vines (Grass-type Acrobatics clone, Whip keyword) Niche: While this 'mon is dead slow and kinda sorta butt-ugly, it's very bulky and has a selection of powerful attacks to its name, including an unexpected Fire-type attack that really helps it nail otherwise tricky 2HKOs. Razor Sharp is a powerful ability that works really well with its pre-existing movepool, particularly Power Whip, but Flashing Vines is also a potent alternative. Yes, I know, Grass and Psychic aren't the most intimidating types in the world, but they're still powerful STAB moves boosted to hell and back. Yes, its Speed is garbage, but it has the defences to weather the storm and access to reliable recovery in Synthesis. Give it a try!
Evolves when leveled up holding the item Helicopter Seed Original Pokemon Name: Carnivine New Pokemon Name: Snaradrone ( snare + Droseraceae + drone ) Type:
Ability: Chlorophyll / Unburden Stats: 85 / 115 / 80 / 120 / 80 / 85 | BST: 570 Move Additions: *Twirling Strike, Acrobatics, Weather Ball, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Taunt, U-turn *Twirling Strike - 55 BP physical Flying-type move | 85% acc | hits opponent twice ( buffed Gear Grind clone ) Competitive Niche (OU): With the tier having a really good sun setter in Torkettle, I'm trying to make both of these pokemon good sun abusers in order to try to get a team archetype going. Snaradrone's Grass/Flying typing pairs pretty well with Torkettle's Fire/Steel typing, as it can take Ground and Fighting attacks aimed at Torkettle. Snaradrone aims to beat out Scarf users and Heatran, who might otherwise give Sun teams trouble and it can also provide offensive Defog, Taunt, or U-turn support. Unburden is no slouch, either, as Snaradrone is pretty bulky with +1 Def and has a good physical movepool alongside Swords Dance.
Sun Sweeper ( Snaradrone ) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe ( run special if using Solarbeam )
Lonely / Hasty Nature

Evolves when given a Dawn Stone Original Pokemon Name: Maractus New Pokemon Name: Miriagi ( mirage + mariachi ) Type:
Ability: Water Absorb / Chlorophyll | Storm Drain Stats: 80 / 91 / 107 / 135 / 107 / 50 | BST: 570 Move Additions: Weather Ball, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam Competitive Niche (OU): Grass/Fairy is another good type to pair with Torkettle's Fire/Steel. Miriagi is a more straightforward and powerful Sun sweeper, although it needs Hidden Power Ground in order to deal with Heatran and Weather Ball in order to deal with other Steel-types, meaning it most likely will forgo a STAB move or Growth. It could also run Synthesis or Spikes over Growth.
Sun Sweeper ( Miriagi ) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe ( run physical if using Twirling Strike )

Evolves when leveled up with Kyogre and Groudon in the party New Pokemon Name: Quazone (Quazar + Ozone) Type:
Removed Moves: Dragon Ascent, Focus Blast, V-Create, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Ability: Air Lock Stats: 50 / 100 / 45 / 100 / 45 / 65 | BST: 405 Competitive Niche: Functions like a more traditional Dragon / Flying type, without Dragon Ascent or V-Create. It still has a wide movepool and can be an all out attacker, Dragon Dance or Swords Dance sweeper, but it will have to resort to Dragon STAB for most of its sets. Air Lock is just the flavor ability as Quazone has good stats and movepool for LC and doesn't need much else.[/Hide]
