[OVERVIEW]

Kilowattrel swoops into RU as a niche option that has great Speed and good power, which when combined with its great typing allows it to take on Ground- and Fighting-types such as Krookodile and Galarian Zapdos. Kilowattrel is one of the fastest Pokemon in the tier, only being outsped by Talonflame and Barraskewda, and it can use its blistering Speed stat in order to pivot in and out of battle via Volt Switch or U-turn. Kilowattrel's STAB moves are also incredibly valuable as they can hit Pokemon such as Galarian Zapdos and Slowbro for super effective damage. The main issue with Kilowattrel is that it can struggle against bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon and especially Rhyperior. It also struggles with faster common Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion and Gardevoir, which can Trace Volt Absorb to block Volt Switch attempts as well. Kilowattrel can be incredibly frail even against resisted attacks such as Galarian Zapdos's Close Combat, and its power is lacking against bulky Pokemon such as Umbreon and Hisuian Goodra. Kilowattrel is also incredibly susceptible to Knock Off, which makes it take Stealth Rock damage, forcing it to use Roost more often, which means that it would not use Volt Switch as often as it would like to.

Thunder can be used on Kilowattrel on rain teams in order to allow it to hit even harder. Volt Switch allows Kilowattrel to not only do solid damage but also pivot out against common switch-ins like Cyclizar and Hisuian Goodra. U-turn allows Kilowattrel to pivot out while not being blocked by Ground-types, which works especially well with Spikes support. Weather Ball can also be used on rain teams to allow Kilowattrel to hit the Ground-types that usually wall it such as Rhyperior. Roost allows Kilowattrel to heal off chip damage it sustains over the course of a battle. Volt Absorb allows Kilowattrel to switch into other Electric-types such as Magnezone and Raikou and heal itself from them, while Competitive allows it to punish Defog from Talonflame and Galarian Weezing while also benefitting from Intimidate from foes like Krookodile and Salamence, allowing it to 2 hit KO Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Raikou it would otherwise struggle with. Tera Flying allows Hurricane to 2HKO Cyclizar, while tera Water allows Kilowattrel to take Ice-type attacks from Pokemon such as Mamoswine and Alolan Ninetales while boosting the power of Weather Ball in rain.

Kilowattrel fits best on offense and bulky offense, able to leverage its good typing and Speed in order to pivot in and out of battles and take on Ground- and Fighting- types such as Krookodile and Slither Wing. U-turn users such as Slither Wing and Jirachi can form VoltTurn cores with Kilowattrel to chip defensive cores. Slither Wing can easily switch in on the bulky Ground-types that trouble Kilowattrel, while Jirachi can set Stealth Rock and paralysis foes with Body Slam to allow Kilowattrel to sweep easier. Entry hazard setters such as Krookodile and Chesnaught can pair very well with Kilowattrel, as not only can it make use of entry hazard chip damage to break through its checks easier, such as 2HKOing Cyclizar with Stealth Rock and a layer of Spikes, but with Competitive, it can also punish Defog from Pokemon such as Talonflame and Galarian Weezing. Fire-type wallbreakers such as Entei and Armarouge pair well with Kilowattrel, as they can lure in and chip Rhyperior with Tera Blast Grass and Energy Ball, respectively, while also taking on Cyclizar and Hisuian Goodra, and in return, Kilowattrel can punish bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Volcanion. Rain partners such as Politoed and Barraskewda pair well with Kilowattrel, as Politoed allows it to boost its Thunder and Weather Ball, while Barraskewda forms a nice VoltTurn core with it to pressure defensive switch-ins.

Tera Blast alongside Tera Grass can be used in order to absolutely rip apart Ground-types such as Rhyperior and Gastrodon. Tera Blast alongside Tera Fighting can be used on Kilowattrel as an option in order to lure in Pokemon such as Rhyperior and Hisuian Goodra that would otherwise wall it. Endeavour is an option on Kilowattrel in order to take opponents down to low health alongside it in order to help teammates clean up easier that might otherwise be walled by them. Thunder Wave can be used to help slow down opponents and cripple switchins such as Cyclizar. Air slash is a more reliable flying STAB option on Kilowattrel, but it is is much weaker and usually not worth it, as it doesn't reliably 2 hit KO both Mamoswine and Krookodile. Choice Specs can be used to make up for Kilowattrel's only okay damage output, but being affected by Stealth Rocks heavily decreases its longevity.

Checks and Counters

**Bulky Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon, specially defensive Gastrodon, and especially Rhyperior can wall Kilowattrel pretty easily, as they can block its Volt Switch while not minding Hurricane from it. They can threaten it back with powerful attacks or set up Stealth Rock against it.

**Electric-types**: Electric-types such as Magnezone, Raikou, and Bellibolt can easily take Kilowattrel's STAB options and hit it back for decent damage. While it can switch into their Electric-type moves, it has to immediately switch out, as they can threaten it with other moves such as Flash Cannon, Scald, and Toxic, respectively.

**Faster Wallbreakers and Priority**: Choice Scarf users such as Gardevoir and Terrakion heavily threaten Kilowattrel, as they can outspeed it and hit it for large damage. Additionally, faster wallbreakers and priority users such as Barraskewda, Bisharp, and especially Mamoswine can outspeed Kilowattrel and threaten it for large damage.

Fire-type wallbreakers such as Entei and Armarouge pair well with Kilowattrel, as they can take the Ice-type attacks aimed at Kilowattrel from foes like Mamoswine and Alolan Ninetales and in return Kilowattrel can punish the bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Volcanion. I like the idea of Fire-types, but they can't really handle the Ice coverage of the tier since it's mostly Mamoswine, however they do pair well because they can lure in and chip Rhyperior (Tera Grass Entei or Energy Ball Armarouge) and Cyclizar (maybe also Hoodra) so rephrase this

add Rain partners
