[SET COMMENTS]
Eiscue makes for a niche sweeper in OU on hyper offensive teams thanks to its access to Belly Drum and a decent ability in Ice Face. With Ice Face, Eiscue can guarantee a free turn for setup against powerful physical attackers like Excadrill and Tyranitar as well as a free pivot into passive physical attackers it can force out in order to set up, such as Hippowdon. Its Speed also drastically increases after Ice Face is broken, furthering its late-game sweeping prowess. However, it is often reliant on foes breaking Ice Face to sweep with this Speed boost, meaning it can be worked around with careful play. Its poor longevity and defensive typing can also prevent it from reliably setting up or sustaining a sweep. Zen Headbutt complements Eiscue's coverage nicely, nailing Toxapex and blowing past neutral targets like Rotom-W and Jellicent after a boost. Substitute alongside Salac Berry allows Eiscue to more reliably increase its Speed to sweep while providing it more reliable setup in general. Liquidation provides strong neutral and super effective coverage against various threats, most notably including Aegislash and Rotom-H. If running it, Eiscue should opt for Heavy-Duty Boots as its item, mitigating its weakness to Stealth Rock in order to more easily set up. Salac Berry would also be harder to activate without Substitute, making Heavy-Duty Boots the safer option.
Eiscue generally only fits well on offensive archetypes due to its potency as a cleaner despite its longevity issues. If running Substitute, it appreciates answers to two of its more common checks in Aegislash and Rotom-H, such as Hydreigon and Tyranitar. It also appreciates entry hazard removal in order to prevent taking Stealth Rock damage while trying to set up. Mold Breaker variants of Excadrill prove useful to Eiscue, providing Rapid Spin support and a way of offensively handling Rotom-H. It can also function as an offensive answer to Bisharp, which is capable of using Sucker Punch to cut Eiscue's sweep short if Ice Face has been broken. Wallbreakers such as Dracovish and Obstagoon can help weaken opposing teams for Eiscue to finish off late-game, making them useful teammates as well.
