Dragon Nest

Hey, if there is a thread about this then delete / lock this.

Anyway Dragon Nest is a free MMORPG game that I just found. There are 4 classes, Warrior, Archer, Cleric, and Sorcerer. But what sets it apart from other games is that characters don't rely on the armor they rely on the skill of the player to do well. All classes are able to upgrade, Warriors can turn into Swordsmen or Mercenaries, Archers turn into Sharpshooters or Acrobatics, Clerics turn into Paladins / Priests, and Sorceresses turn into Elementalists or Mystics. In case you would like to know I'm currently a Paladin and loving it. The Damage output isn't so great but one of my friends is a Swordsman so I don't need to worry about doing damage. It's kind of like a mix of Quake and World of Warcraft in a way. The game is quite addicting actually, but what are your thoughts? The only problem I have with the game is that you can't change the gender of your characters. MMORPGs that don't allow changing your genders is not fun and not very expansive.

I played for a little bit (Archer on Argenta under the username of Hamstorm) but I never got into it as much as my friends did. It reminded me of Guild Wars but with less variety.

Still, my friends are having a lot of fun and it was pretty addictive for a while.

I play Dragon Nest. I'm currently on level 10 doing that one mission where you need to rescue the girl, forgot what her name is. Anyway, i'm at the boss battle and it's really hard. I believe she flies and uses fire, not quite sure. Anyway, this game is quite awesome and it took me by surprise. To be honest, i think i'm going to start over, i hate being warrior.

it's actually fun, idk what you're doing iwishyouwell but that boss was easy as balls, and i did it on hard. warriors make the game easy.

thank god for chinese version.

yeah i just did it again on hard, died once but then completed it. not too bad, but do it with a friend, the harpies are gay to stunlock so there isn't really much you can do, unlike the minotaur.

edit: abyss* sorry

Not quite seeing the comparison to Quake, especially since combat is half melee based. Seems more like a 3D beat em up.

Been playing for awhile current char level 11 xgilgaxmesh been doing alot of the areana soo im now going ot power level to get some +8 gear.

depends on your class honestly, archers / mages / engineers are primarily ranged based.

i'd lay off the pvp until at least level 24 tbh.

i'm lvl 45 on the chinese server, there's a 50 cap, but it's hard to get good shit unless you shell out cash for vip / cash stuff.

I been doing pvp at level 10 but my gear isnt what a average level 15 player can't even get. My stun rate and para rate are huge. PLus I can o my combo to juggle up to like 4 times before the guy even drops.

After unfortunately being addicted to the drug that is Maplestory back a few years ago, I won't be touching any of Nexon's products in the near and far future.

Dragon Nest looks promising however.

lol, sure, but any time you face someone else in the 20+ range you'll get destroyed because you haven't even had your first job advancement. also, there really is no point having like + 8 novice equips when you level so quick anyway and will get new shit before you know it; it's only worth getting stuff to beyond + 6 when you're post 24, or even 32.

it's really fun, i've never played maplestory but a lot of my friends who played it say they enjoy dragon nest immensely.

Oh, and feel free to ask for groups for PVP and instances etc. here. Also, does anyone know when Academic will be released in america?

Also no mac version is mean.
