I dont know how many people used to like DBZ back in the day, i mean personally i think that was my favorite cartoon show when i was a kid and to see this http://movies.ign.com/objects/479/479331.html it just disgusts me. Seriously if you ever dreamed of a good real life DBZ movie Fox 2000 just crushed your dreams and if it didnt it just crushed mines.:'(
 
I don't know, there had been speculation of a Dragonball [Z] movie for years and I'm somewhat glad it's finally here. I too watched DBZ in the past and it was definitely one of my favorite shows like many other kids back then.

I was expecting something a bit more corny, but what I just saw in the trailer looked like a decent action movie. I'm somewhat disappointed about some things though since it seems like they made some choices based on what would be good in the movies rather than sticking to the actual facts /story. But I'll be looking forward to seeing it and how it plays out...

Never cared about DBZ so this doesn't bother me personally.

I think we already had a thread on this a while back. I think it looks okay tbh. DragonBall can never really work as a movie but they seem to have done as well as could be expected based on the trailer. My only problem is that it looks too "realistic." Dragonball should be a colorful, over-the-top world and they don't seem to have captured that here.

I look forward to seeing it and I'll reserve further judgement until I do!
 
I really don't think its a bad movie i just think that they shouldn't have called it Dragon Ball and could have started some other franchise or something i don't know
 
I want to see how they capture the super saiyan look. Goku as a white guy just seemed weird, although his hair is pretty cool.

The trailer looked pretty lame, but more or less, I agree with Lee.
 
There won't be a Super Saiyan in this movie as it's based on the King Piccolo saga iirc. If they decide to make sequels we may get to see a Super Saiyan eventually though.
 
oh what the hell. I thought this would be an anime movie. I mean I never even watched DBZ, but it seems weird to me that it's not animated.

Predicting that this bombs at the box office.
 
Big fan of both DBZ and DB but they should of stuck to anime and I can't see this being any good whatsoever.

Are they going to make real-life movies out of every singe nerdy cartoon we watched as children? First transformers, and now.... this.
 
The actors look awful (I guess this is not a big enough billing to attract good ones!) and it looks, as Lee suggested, far too grim and steampunk or something. This is not going to be good, but it will probably be hilariously bad, so still well worth time to watch I suppose.

Hurp, the point of this movie isn't to make a dragon ball movie, we already have tonnes of those, the point is to make a live action one...

Besides, just because it's an anime doesn't mean it'd be good, GT was shit... :/
 
This movie looks so amazing. Day 1. Day fucking 1. Comedy of the year, I'm calling it now. I really have no other words to describe this.

I agree about GT being crap but the series should of been done at the end of Z and it wasn't based on the manga.

It really could be comedy of the year by the way.
 
Lol this is like the Super Mario bros movie.
It should have been animated, they had a bad story and shitty actors,
and it REAAAALY sucked.
 
God I wanna beat the shit out of whoever made this sooooooo fucking bad. I swear, I seriously will kill him if I ever see the bastard who made this, I will go run full speed towards him and beat the shit out of him until I get bored or my hand starts to cramp up.

I mean what is this shit, Goku's some pussy ass little white teenager bitch version of karate kid in high school that has a crush on some popular girl form of chi-chi, since when the fuck is Dragon Ball an action movie based of The Hills. The real Goku isn't even white, I swear those type of main characters make me think I'm watching fucking Laguna Beach or something, might as well be some blond girl who's mad because her boyfriend just broke up with her so she go learns karate and seeks revenge. That would be a better fucking movie than what this shit is going to be. I mean come on, Master Roshi is some young dude who I bet isn't even a pervert, fucking stupid. Piccolo is some green elf alien bitch grinch. I cannot honestly think of a single good thing to say about this movie, this is a complete disgrace to the entire Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and maybe even the Dragon Ball GT series.

If I could, I would go to every single movie theater showing this, break the film and take a dump on it. God damn I hate whoever made this. I'm sorry for making such a negative crap post but seriously I haaaaaaatttteeeee this movie and whoever made it. >:(!!!!!!!!!
 
This really pissed me off, Goku doesn't fight inside building's he blows them up Piccole is wow Bulma is just gay Bulma used guns but not a .22 or a 9 man their Ki is just awful DBZ is not supposed to be REAL OK It's supposed to be anime Death Note was lame to by the way :D. Back to what I was saying I would go right along with Al Alchemist and tag team the bastard's who made this movie Transformer's was good no lie but DB man come on just stop right here you can save the whole Saga with this just don't make anymore DB movies who ever made it should have their head up their ass man Goku some piss ass kid Goku doesn't be cool with his moves. He is wild and untamed man and that capsula shit was just omg man I won't even Bootleg it that's how awful I think it's gonna be
