Hello everyone and welcome to the next game of Diplomacy!

Let's take a look at our map.

Wait... where are all of the starting pieces? Who owns what territories? What's going on??

That's right everyone, we're playing the Draft variant!

Standard diplomacy rules apply once the game begins, however, before game start, players will be randomly ordered and take place in a snake draft to select from the pool of supply centers. At the end of the draft, 6 players will have 3 starting home centers and whoever drafts last will get a 4th center. Players can select from any of the 34 available supply centers for their draft selections. Ever thought France would be even stronger if they started on the Iberian peninsula instead of France proper? Ever wish that you could play as Scandinavia right from the start? Now's your chance!

Additionally, just to allow for more players to join in on the fun, if you'd like you are welcome to sign up in teams of 2 (or select a teammate from the pool of individuals who sign up.)

Anyway, let's have a fun game! Signups are open!

If a newer player would like an assman to talk about the game with, I would be happy to team up and help.

Basically, I cannot commit timewise to being around all the time to talk to other people and put effort into this (especially if I have a game of my own to host soon), but I am a decent tactical player and will do a good job keeping you away from obvious pitfalls.

On second thought, volunteering to be a when-available advisor to a new player, too.

As you make your first round selection, please select from the following colors available on backstabbr:

Red / Blue / Light Blue / Black / Green / Purple / Yellow

Additionally pulsar512b as the wheel, please make 2 selections at once.

i assume i do not get to choose my colour bc everyone else will have chosen before me. unfortunate. but i am glad to get the wheel
