Dhelmise @ Colbur Berry / Steelium Z
Ability: Steelworker
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Power Whip
- Anchor Shot / Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Synthesis
By virtue of its typing, impressive defenses, and utility options, Dhelmise is a great utility Pokemon, providing teams with a consistent switch-in to threatening offensive Pokemon such as Heliolisk and Rhydon while also supporting its teammates with Rapid Spin. What helps push Dhelmise above other sources of entry hazard removal is its access to Synthesis, which lets it continuously switch into Stealth Rock setters without fear of being slowly chipped down and removed. Dhelmise fits great on balance teams with Spikes support from Garbodor, since Rapid Spin doesn't remove friendly entry hazards. Unfortunately, Dhelmise's low Speed leaves it vulnerable to faster wallbreakers like Sneasel, Sigilyph, and Magmortar; therefore, it appreciates teammates like Vaporeon and Incineroar, which form great defensive cores with it.
