Houndstone is a stellar physical wall courtesy of its immense bulk with Fluffy. Its vast array of disruptive utility moves and its great typing lets it check common physical attackers such as Paldean Tauros-W, Flamigo, Staraptor, and Pawmot, as well as letting it act as an excellent spinblocker. Night Shade is Houndstone's most reliable form of making progress thanks to its fixed damage, wearing down physical setup Pokemon such as Bulk Up Paldean Tauros-W and Bulk Up Hariyama. Body Press capitalizes on Houndstone's gargantuan Defense, targeting Dark-types like Zoroark, Wo-Chien, and Scrafty as well as Steel-types like Copperajah and Duraludon. Additionally, it lets non-Will-O-Wisp variants touch Normal-types such as Staraptor and Ambipom. Houndstone's last two slots are quite versatile; Will-O-Wisp lets it cripple a large variety of physical attackers, namely Paldean Tauros-W, Flamigo, Ambipom, and Staraptor, while also punishing Ghost-types such as Golurk and Decidueye that attempt to capitalize off of Houndstone's passivity. Protect synergizes amazingly with Will-O-Wisp, wearing down foes while helping maintain longevity with Leftovers. It can also assist in scouting attacks from foes like Choice Scarf Florges and Paldean Tauros-F. Alternatively, the combination of Rest and Sleep Talk offers Houndstone a form of semi-reliable recovery, letting it capitalize on the presence of Pokemon that are unable to do very much damage to it, namely foes like Choice Scarf Flamigo and Ambipom, to heal to full health. However, the unreliable nature of Sleep Talk may leave Houndstone open to being taken advantage of by offensive Pokemon like Arcanine and Scrafty, giving them a prime opportunity to use it as setup bait. Pain Split is a niche alternative, acting as a less committal option for recovery compared to Rest, although it is more unreliable due to its reliance on foe's HP. Charm is another niche alternative option, heavily halting the momentum of physical setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Scrafty, Curse Arcanine, and Bulk Up Paldean Tauros-W. Roar similarly dissuades setup Pokemon while having more utility against special attackers and synergizing well with entry hazards. Houndstone has a solid array of viable Tera types; Tera Water turns its Fire weakness into a neutrality, which can prove vital against the likes of Arcanine and Paldean Tauros-F. Tera Fighting powers up Houndstone's Body Press, letting it 2HKO Skuntank after Stealth Rock while alleviating its weakness to Dark so it can more easily handle the likes of Skuntank and Scrafty. Tera Fairy also gives Houndstone a Dark resistance as well as a Fighting resistance, opening it up to completely wall the likes of Hariyama and Bombirdier.

Defensive Houndstone fits best on a variety of balance and bulky offense teams as a reliable physically defensive wall. Entry hazard setters such as Bronzong, Gligar, and Gastrodon make for excellent partners, heavily appreciating Houndstone's ability to block Rapid Spin attempts while in return offering their own great utility; Bronzong's Psychic Noise further bolsters burn damage from Houndstone's Will-O-Wisp. Gligar can use Toxic to stall out and wear down foes that Houndstone may not do as well against. Additionally, Earthquake and Knock Off can threaten Fire-types such as Arcanine, Emboar, and Paldean Tauros-F that Houndstone is weak to. Bulky setup Pokemon such as Curse Arcanine, Iron Defense Bronzong, and Calm Mind Florges appreciate Houndstone burning foes that could otherwise overwhelm them, making it easier for them to find opportunities to set up and sweep. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Florges, Gastrodon, and Wo-Chien can handle the special attackers that Houndstone may otherwise struggle with such as Kilowattrel, Inteleon, and Hoopa, respectively. Scream Tail is another great defensive partner that can provide Wish support, which can open Houndstone up to more easily run Will-O-Wisp and Protect. Pokemon that can check Dark-types such as Florges, Skuntank, and Paldean Tauros-W are good partners for Houndstone, being able to switch in on Dark-type moves from the likes of Scrafty, Zoroark, and Bombirdier. In return, Florges can provide valuable Wish support, Skuntank can use useful utility moves like Knock Off and Taunt to assist Houndstone in wearing down foes, and Paldean Tauros-W can capitalize off of Dark-types for offensive momentum.

Houndstone is a stellar physical wall courtesy of its immense physical bulk (you don't have to say physical twice) with Fluffy alongside a vast array of disruptive utility moves. Houndstone's typing alongside its bulk makes it an amazing answer to common physical attackers such as Paldean Tauros-W, Flamigo, Staraptor, and Pawmot. Additionally, it is an excellent Rapid Spin blocker courtesy of its great bulk and typing. (merge this with the previous sentence, you keep saying "great bulk and typing" when you could just merge all of the things those allow hound to do into one sentence) Night Shade is Houndstone's most reliable form of making progress thanks to its fixed damage, letting it wear down physical set-up Pokemon such as Bulk Up Scrafty and Bulk Up Hariyama. Body Press capitalizes on Houndstone's gargantuan Defense, targeting Dark-types like Skuntank, Scrafty, and Grafaiai (known dark-type grafaiai!) as well as Steel-types like Copperajah and Duraludon. Additionally, it lets non-Will-O-Wisp variants touch Normal-types such as Staraptor, Ambipom, and Dudunsparce (not super relevant, would just cut since the only other relevant normal blasts you to the moon anyway). Houndstone's last two slots are quite versatile; Will-O-Wisp lets Houndstone cripple a large variety of physical attackers in the tier, namely Paldean Tauros-W, Flamigo, Ambipom, and Staraptor, while also punishing Ghost-types such as Golurk, Decidueye, and Oricorio-S (again, sees like no usage, you could change this to Hoopa or just cut it since Hoopa's also not super common) from attempting to capitalize off of Houndstone's passivity. It also punishes Dark-types attempting to take advantage of Houndstone's weakness to Dark such as Bombirdier, Skuntank, Wo-Chien, and Grimmsnarl. This makes Houndstone much more difficult to switch into. (feels like fluff considering you just spent three sentences explaining that this move prevents hound's checks from getting free real estate) Protect synergizes amazingly with Will-O-Wisp, wearing down foes while helping maintain longevity with Leftovers. It can also assist in scouting attacks from foes. Alternatively, the combination of Rest and Sleep Talk offers Houndstone a form of semi-reliable recovery, letting it capitalize on the presence of Pokemon that are unable to do very much damage to it, namely Pokemon like Choice Scarf Flamigo and Ambipom, to heal to full health. However, the unreliable nature of Sleep Talk may leave Houndstone open to being taken advantage of by offensive Pokemon like Arcanine and Scrafty. (given that these two examples in particular are what you used i'd also tack on that the guaranteed two turns of sleep makes you prone to being setup bait) Pain Split is a niche alternative, acting as a less committal (since you explain later that variable HP stats, lack of status removal, etc are issues compared to rest cleansing status and giving you full HP back every single time i don't think pain split is exactly more consistent) option for recovery. It can take advantage of Pokemon with high HP stats such as Scream Tail and Hariyama to get high amounts of HP back while simultaneously dishing out offense. However, Pain Split does not offer the nice benefit of removing status that Rest has and can be inconsistent against foes with lower HP stats like Bronzong, Gligar, and Rotom-H. Charm is another niche alternative option, heavily halting the momentum of physical setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Scrafty, Curse Arcanine, and Bulk Up Paldean Tauros-W. However, the utter lack of utility against special attackers makes the move not very versatile. Roar is another viable option, similarly dissuading setup Pokemon while having more utility against special attackers and synergizing well with entry hazards. Houndstone has a solid array of viable Tera types; Tera Water turns Houndstone's Fire weakness into a neutrality, which can prove vital against the likes of Arcanine and Paldean Tauros-F. Tera Fighting powers up Houndstone's Body Press while alleviating its weakness to Dark, letting it more easily handle the likes of Skuntank and Scrafty. Tera Fairy also gives Houndstone a Dark resistance while also giving it a Fighting resistance, opening it up to completely wall the likes of Hariyama and Scrafty.

Defensive Houndstone fits best on a variety of balance and stall teams as a reliable physically defensive wall. Entry hazard setters such as Bronzong, Gligar, and Scream Tail make for excellent partners, heavily appreciating Houndstone's ability to block Rapid Spin attempts while in return, offering their own great utility; Bronzong's Psychic Noise can prevent all healing, which further bolsters burn damage from Houndstone's Will-O-Wisp. Gligar can use Toxic and Protect (awkward wording, makes it sound like Gligar runs Protect when it does not) to stall out and wear down foes that Houndstone may not do as well against. Additionally, Earthquake and Knock Off can threaten Fire-types such as Arcanine, Delphox, Emboar, and Paldean Tauros-F (Delphox is a bad example because that mon will turn Gligar into a stain on the wall) that Houndstone is weak to. Scream Tail, alongside Stealth Rock, provides Wish support, which can open Houndstone up to more easily run Will-O-Wisp and Protect. Bulky setup Pokemon such as Curse Arcanine, Iron Defense Bronzong, and Calm Mind Florges appreciate Houndstone burning Pokemon that could otherwise overwhelm them, making it easier for them to find opportunities to set-up and sweep. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Florges, Gastrodon, and Wo-Chien can handle the special attackers that Houndstone may otherwise struggle with such as Kilowattrel, non-Grass Knot Delphox, and Hoopa (If you're gonna mention Gastrodon may as well say Inteleon here too since it's very scary for Houndstone and Gastrodon and Wo-Chien are like two of the three reliable checks to the fucker, if it gets banned we'll just cut it in post lol) respectively that could otherwise overwhelm Houndstone.

Houndstone is a stellar physical wall courtesy of its immense bulk with Fluffy alongside a vast array of disruptive utility moves. Houndstone's typing alongside its bulk makes it an amazing answer to common physical attackers such as Paldean Tauros-W, Flamigo, Staraptor, and Pawmot, as well as an excellent Rapid Spin blocker. (I would rather you cut these two sentances down into one sentence if possible.) Night Shade is Houndstone's most reliable form of making progress thanks to its fixed damage, letting it wear down physical set-up Pokemon such as Bulk Up Scrafty (Dont really like this example as Knock can disrupt you still, would rather mention Bulk Up Tauros-W instead.) and Bulk Up Hariyama. Body Press capitalizes on Houndstone's gargantuan Defense, targeting Dark-types like Skuntank (This is only neutral, rather would mention Wo-Chien or Zoro instead.) and Scrafty as well as Steel-types like Copperajah and Duraludon. Additionally, it lets non-Will-O-Wisp variants touch Normal-types such as Staraptor and Ambipom. Houndstone's last two slots are quite versatile; Will-O-Wisp lets Houndstone cripple a large variety of physical attackers in the tier, namely Paldean Tauros-W, Flamigo, Ambipom, and Staraptor while also punishing Ghost-types such as Golurk and Decidueye from attempting to capitalize off of Houndstone's passivity. It also punishes Dark-types attempting to take advantage of Houndstone's weakness to Dark such as Bombirdier, Skuntank, Wo-Chien, and Grimmsnarl. (All of these have counterplay to Willo, grim has sub, wo chien has resttalk and skunk has taunt.) Protect synergizes amazingly with Will-O-Wisp, wearing down foes while helping maintain longevity with Leftovers. It can also assist in scouting attacks from foes. (mention some examples here pls, like Scarf Florges and Band Tauros Paldea F.) Alternatively, the combination of Rest and Sleep Talk offers Houndstone a form of semi-reliable recovery, letting it capitalize on the presence of Pokemon that are unable to do very much damage to it, namely Pokemon like Choice Scarf Flamigo and Ambipom, to heal to full health. However, the unreliable nature of Sleep Talk may leave Houndstone open to being taken advantage of by offensive Pokemon like Arcanine and Scrafty, giving them a prime opportunity to use Houndstone as setup bait. Pain Split is a niche alternative, acting as a less committal option for recovery. It can take advantage of Pokemon with high HP stats such as Scream Tail and Hariyama to get high amounts of HP back while simueltaniously dishing out offense. However, Pain Split does not offer the nice benefit of removing status that Rest has and can be inconsistent against foes with lower HP stats like Bronzong, Gligar, and Rotom-H. (This feels super super runon for one move, just say it can allow you to recover off HP like rest can but is extremely unreliable.) Charm is another niche alternative option, heavily halting the momentum of physical setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Scrafty, Curse Arcanine, and Bulk Up Paldean Tauros-W. However, the utter lack of utility against special attackers makes the move not very versatile. (Your not sticking in as Hounds against most of the powerful special attackers anyways.) Roar is another viable option, similarly dissuading setup Pokemon while having more utility against special attackers and synergizing well with entry hazards. Houndstone has a solid array of viable Tera types; Tera Water turns Houndstone's Fire weakness into a neutrality, which can prove vital against the likes of Arcanine and Paldean Tauros-F. Tera Fighting powers up Houndstone's Body Press (any rolls this helps with?) while alleviating its weakness to Dark, letting it more easily handle the likes of Skuntank and Scrafty. Tera Fairy also gives Houndstone a Dark resistance while also giving it a Fighting resistance, opening it up to completely wall the likes of Hariyama and Scrafty (Has Pjab, would rather mention something else here. At least w hari bullet still doesnt do much.).

Defensive Houndstone fits best on a variety of balance and stall (stall is garbage, mention Bulky offense instead.) teams as a reliable physically defensive wall. Entry hazard setters such as Bronzong, Gligar, and Scream Tail (Rocks Scream Tail is like 99% a HO lead thing, mention Gastro instead imo.) make for excellent partners, heavily appreciating Houndstone's ability to block Rapid Spin attempts while in return offering their own great utility; Bronzong's Psychic Noise can prevent all healing, which further bolsters burn damage from Houndstone's Will-O-Wisp. Gligar can use Toxic to stall out and wear down foes that Houndstone may not do as well against. Additionally, Earthquake and Knock Off can threaten Fire-types such as Arcanine, Emboar, and Paldean Tauros-F that Houndstone is weak to. Scream Tail, alongside Stealth Rock, provides Wish support, which can open Houndstone up to more easily run Will-O-Wisp and Protect. Bulky setup Pokemon such as Curse Arcanine, Iron Defense Bronzong, and Calm Mind Florges appreciate Houndstone burning Pokemon that could otherwise overwhelm them (such as?), making it easier for them to find opportunities to set-up and sweep. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Florges, Gastrodon, and Wo-Chien can handle the special attackers that Houndstone may otherwise struggle with such as Kilowattrel, Inteleon, and Hoopa respectively that could otherwise overwhelm Houndstone.
(Mention having Dark-type swaps like Florges / Skunk / etc is very very helpful to have.)
