It was meh. Not enough jokes and it felt too preachy. I liked the story of his Trans friend though. It really hammered in his previous points I felt. I also liked how he tested the waters in the beginning getting the audience ready for the amount of outta pocket jokes he was ready to let loose.

i havent watched the newest ones yet but his bits on the LGBT community come off more like the ranting of some out-of-touch boomer. the joke about anthony boudin was peak chapelle, everything else was shittier and not very funny.

not really surprising when you get paid hundreds of million dollars to shit out 3 specials in like a year

i didn't mind it. it was more stream of consciousness / rant Chappelle than a standup routine, but that's basically what i expected going into it and i quite like the style. i don't care about his terf views as much as i should. i just see him as your relatively average 50ish year old when it comes to societal changes not directly related to black people. i guess i don't really know what people expected him to say that would make sense given everything we already knew about him. the outrage over this special is especially confusing to me because his views on trans people are not new, so why wait until now to make an example out of him. it's reactive and comes off as meaningless. the majority of non trans people are going to forget about that tweet they made saying #translivesmatter in a couple of weeks when something else becomes popular. anyway, those are my thoughts. the daphne dorman story was very sad. i was definitely not expecting it and he clearly had a lot of love for her. it's just too bad he seemed to use her as the token trans person for his jokes.

also space jews had me dying
